Freddy and Jason had taken on the role of being scouters for this new 'land' their clan had found. It was covered in ice...and extremely cold. The werecain didn't feel this of course, because of their thick fur, but it still upset the twins.

"It's as cold as Collar's toenails out here!" Freddy commented in his high pitched voice.

"Agreed," Jason told him in his much deeper tone.

They were banked behind a fort of snow and ready to retreat at any sign of advance. Suddenly a man in a long brown robe exited the Santuary, humming, or was that moaning?

"I think we should go closer." Muttered Jason scanning the area. "The only thing that seems to be here are some harmless trainers and those monks."

Freddy nodded and then thought again, "No, I think we need to head back and get approval from Demon. He might want us to wait."

Jason seemed to think a bit then nodded looking at his brother, "Agreed Brother, let us go."

They turned and climbed down from their post and began to walk back to camp. They didn't speak on the way, they just kept to themselves and walked with their heads low, ready to attack an intruder.

Demon was sitting upon a snow-covered rock with Collar by his side. Freddy and Jason entered the secluded clearing and sat in front of Demon and Collar, they lowered their heads for a moment then raised them again.

"Report," Demon ordered in his booming voice.

Jason spoke up first, "The area seems to be clear. The only inhabitants seem to be monks who do nothing but chant and walk around slowly, and trainers who are oblivious to what is going on around them."

Demon nodded and looked at Freddy, "Anything you would like to report?"

Freddy thought for a moment, "No sir, but I have an inquiry."

"Permission to question."

"Where are we to go from here and what alias are we to take? How far are we allowed to go sir?"

Demon seemed to smile. "Explore inside the entire perimeter, do nothing, touch no one. Then come back and report your findings."

Freddy nodded.

"That is all Warriors. Dispatch."

With that, Freddy and Jason exited the clearing to go back to their fort.

Freddy and Jason watched the Shrine carefully, judging when to hop out of their fort and blend in with a trainer.

"That one looks unsuspecting, and look at all of her animals!" Freddy exclaimed, talking about a women who had maybe twenty or so Kuhna following her.

Jason shook his head. "No Brother, Kuhna are our main food source and that's all she has, we would stick out like sore thumbs."

They waited a bit longer.

Freddy perked up again. "Look at that couple, they are perfect! They have only pairs of animals, no Kuhna, and all the animals are either wood or battlefield!"

Jason smirked. "They are perfect Brother, let us wait until they come to this curve and we shall merge."

They stayed very quiet while they waited and when the time was right, they calmly walked from their fort and made camoflage with the other animals in their group. With this disguise they were able to walk into the Shrine with no hassle whatsoever, though the monks didn't look like they were paying much attention...

Once inside, the two Werecain parted from their 'group' and began to silently take in all details. They never spoke to each other when preforming this part of the mission. It was vital that they got all information they needed to bring back to Demon. Without the correct information, all kinds of mayhem could spring forth.

So the two brothers looked around, recording every detail they deemed important. Including the three hallways.

It wasn't until they exited and headed back to camp that Freddy said something about it.

"Did you see those three hallways?" Freddy piped up.

"Yes Brother, what about them do you wish to talk about?"

"Well, those symbols for one, I swear I've seen them before."

"Like where Brother?"

"On animals."

"You must be deficient."

"Think about it," Freddy began. "Where do temple, pure, and cursed animals come from? In all of our battles, breedings, litters, all of our clan and our enemies clan, have you ever seen a temple, pure, or cursed Werecain that  hadn't come from this area?"

Jason thought for a few moments. "What if you are right Brother, and these animals have something to do with those symbols, what do our clan gain from it?"

"We could do something about that annoying Kuhna captive. We could do something about all three annoying captives. We could make them special, so we could sell them or use them to bribe our enemies, and if it works on the captives, we can use it to better ourselves."

"I think you may be on to something Brother, tell me, do you remember the names of the halls?"

"Yes. The one bearing the symbol you see on temple creatures was The Halls of Amnesty and Remembrance."

"What of the others?"

"The one bearing the symbol of the pure was The Halls of Purity, and the one bearing the symbol of the cursed was The Halls of the Lost."

Jason smiled at his brother and began to run faster. "Remember those dear Brother, and run with me, this is something very important to report to Demon."

When they returned back to camp, Demon looked very pleased. The two bowed and straightened, both bearing huge smiles. Demon found this amusing and chuckled.

"Out with it, what of the Shrine?"

Jason spoke first. "We, well, my brother, found something miraculous that could better our clan for many, many years."

Demon brightened, "Speak up Freddy, tell me of this 'miraculous finding'."

"Well," Freddy began. "While in the shrine, I noticed three doors leading to three different hallways. These were entitled the hallways of Amnesty and Remebrance, Purity, and the Lost. I also noticed sir, that the symbols you find on Temple, Pure, and Cursed creatures are in these hallways. I thought of how all temple, pure and cursed animals have spent some time up here. Maybe, just maybe, these hallways have something to do with those creatures being the way they are. Maybe they, change animals perhaps?"

Demon thought for a moment, turning to look at Collar. "My Dear, what do you speculate?"

"I think it's a wonderful idea, the only problem would occur if it didn't work and killed one of us. We are already a small clan due to the plague that was uncurable. We can't afford to lose any more." Her voice was beautiful but icy cold.

Demon looked to the twins, "What of that Warriors?"

It was now Freddy's turn to grin. "We simply test it with the captives. They are common and useless. What does it matter to us if they die? They are here just to be drug with us and slowly picked off and eaten. What better use would they serve than to be transformed and show us with hall does what? If it worked, not only could we empower ourselves, but we could also use the new forms of the captives to bribe and intimidate our enemies, or we could trade them for land, or use them to make alliances with bigger, stronger clans."

Demon thought for a moment then smiled, Collar also smiling beside him.

"Harmonica, bring out the captives." She ordered.

Harmonica, who had been in her hut until now, ran out to retrieve a large wooden barred cage holding several shackled animals. She let down the door and they lumbered out before the clan.

Demon examined the captives.

"Hmm...The Kuni is useless to our quest, put her back in the cage, it is the Kuhna we want, unshackle them."

Harmonica did what she was told and the three Kuhna sat, motionless, before their captors. They had overheard the plan and were terrified. What if it didn't work? What then? Would they be killed? Mutated? Or even worse, so horribly disfigured, they would slowly cease to exist?
