Kadora's words rang in Roro's head; "I cannot follow you into the mountains.Julianna and I have to head toward the caves. Please be careful, and try not to get your head bitten off."
She was speaking of finding the Hunters. She had sent him to the Basantha Mountains to go the the Shrine in search of their clan. The shadowy black hunter she'd encountered made her curious and hopeful.
Roro sniffed the air...nothing but the musty smell of the thick fog filled his nostrils.He was currently in the jungle, rapidly approaching the foot of the Basantha Mountain range. Through the canopy of dark green trees he could see blue sky and snow-capped peaks.
With every step he took his leather armor rubbed against itself and sometimes creaked. His sharp eyes were angled straight ahead and his ears were alert to every noise in the jungle. Suddenly he stopped. He thought he heard something......nothing. The birds were still chirping--everything seemed normal; except that smell. He smelled blood!
