Kalona walked beside Luke.  His feet barely made a sound on the cold, stone floor, but with every step his chains rattled.  He too was searching the shadows for anything suspicious, but nothing seemed to be popping out or catching his eye.  "Hm... I guess it was just the wind." he said to Luke.

[Remedy]

Luke nodded.  He looked around, but it didn't seem like anything interesting was there.  "Yeah.  Well, what do you want to do now?  It's creeply, yet strangely dull in here..." he said.

[Elektra]

"Nah, I like it.  Or, I like the creepy part..." Kalona laughed, but in that laugh, there was sorrow and malice.  This was the last place he wanted to be, this was where it all went wrong.  He'd killed her here.  She was an innocent, young thing.  So innocent, so pure.  It was unimaginable for such a being to actually exist.  And that was why he committed such an act.  He wished to be so carefree, and yet, in doing so, he banished himself to a violent, lonely life.  "I don't know about you, but I'd like to see if there's anything else that lives here."

[Remedy]

"Hm... yes, I will admit this is place is making me curious." he said, looking around.  The room had a strange chill about it that was something more than just the cold wind blowing in from outside.  He shivered and looked at Kalona.  "Where do you think we should begin looking for... whatever or whoever might live here?" he asked.  Then he remembered that Allison needed him today to take care of their kits.  I'm sure Alarice will handle it... he thought to himself.  Right now he was out exploring, so there wasn't much he could do about the children.  He wasn't a very good dad...

[Elektra]

"Don't you know about the Mekkayana's that live here?  Unless they want you to see them, you won't ever get a glimpse of one, but they're here.  Nasty, robotic canines.  No hearts, no living parts.  A lot of them malfunction though.  That's what makes 'em so dangerous..."  Even he didn't want to run into one without some kind of warning.  That would just make for a really messy fight.

[Remedy]

Luke shrugged.  "No, actually, I haven't heard of them.  I mean, I have, but I thought they only hung around in the Lya Pointa Cathedral." Luke said.  "It certainly would be interesting if we were to spot one."  Although it may be an interesting experience, a little feeling of fear mixed in with Luke's feeling of adventure.  Should he really be looking for trouble with a new family at home?  He tried to brush off these emotions as he searched with Kalona.

[Elektra]

"I dunno, but I've heard rumors about them being here."  Kalona smiled at the thought of having one of those creatures to do his bidding.  It would be a very helpful thing to have around.  "But if you don't want to go and look, it isn't like we have to.  But I don't really know what else that there is to do around here."  The stone walls seemed to hold secrets of the creatures that had come here before.  There were small encryptions on the wall every now and then.  Kalona began to wonder if any of these told the secret of how he could go onto a better life.  Certainly somewhere like this shrine, the cathedral, or even the Nusan' Temple could hold the key.  Right?

[Remedy]

"I'd love to go look for one," Luke said.  He needed to improve his hunting and possibly fighting skills as well, and this seemed like a good time to do it.  "Where should we start lookin'?" he asked, flicking his tails excitedly.  Hunting in a freezing, creepy, ancient, yet cool place... what a wonderful passtime.  Maybe he'd learn some new skills from this Kalona guy to use on Dash when he got back... Ya never know.

[Elektra]

"Honestly, I have no idea.  I'm not even sure if they are here at all.  That, and I think that Hunter's put up a more interesting fight.  But, like I said, that's just my opinion."  Chuckling, Kalona scanned the room they were currently in.  There were two openings that they hadn't yet tried, but the question was which to take.  Obviously splitting up would be a very stupid idea, but regardless, they had to do something.  Just standing around wasn't helping them out at all.  "So right or left?"

[Remedy]

Luke shrugged.  "It'd be interesting if we ran into either." he said.  He was excited about this little hunting trip and decided that it would be a good chance to get away from all the stress that his new family was laying on him.  "My gut says right." he said.  Unlike Allison or most other people Lke knew, he wasn't trained in being careful.  THe family he grew up in was always reckless and careless, so he gained most of those qualities.  Hopefully they wouldn't be passed downto his children, though, since recklessness tended to get him and his brothers in some tight positions.  At least Allison was there to shield the children from bad influence...
