This was not a place for a slithering hellion of creature like her. Even her gait was altered to a  coiled,shy, slink across the smooth floor.
She glared at the ticking clock that blended with her skin, and she couldn't help but release an impacient sigh. Where was her fellow explorer? A restless, harmful wyrm wasn't something an intelligent creature wanted to deal with."So why keep one waiting now?"She wondered angrily to herself.She released an even heavier breath, almost releasing a fiery blast of breath.It would've been lethal to the stone she was examining if it hadn't been the only thing keeping her calm.
She studied the designs and cracks with super interest."Oh, what a pity,"she said, her voice full of poisonous sweetness. If only she were the one who owned them.They would've been in much better condition.She was too busy studying the sculpture to look near the doorway for her partner. The statue was much more important to her than that matter it seemed.

She slunked into the door silently. How much trouble she was in making Sa'lanthia wait that long!Now all she could do was hang her head with silent dismay and hope for the best.At least she's a little distracted at the moment, she thought hoping that Salani couldn't read minds, as she watched the Wyrm observe the statues with...love?Affection?
Kagurra gave a limp step as she advanced towards her fellow explorer. She almost stopped to double over in pain as the heat of anger flew off of her as if she was hellfire itself.Kagurra was calm and relaxed practically all the time. If she was about to vomit, that said something.
Kagurra's gait was a limp, slinky one as she advanced towards Salani on all fours." Soooo....." she looked down at her feet unable to speak. She rarely ever spoke anyways.But she had to find something to say other than a miserable excuse. Giving a miserable excuse would mean she'd be sorry for the whole expedition."Umm..."she quickly fired her excuse in a relaxed, sleepy, tone.However, it didn't  fail to sound elegant and charming.." I had to retrieve this,"she snatched a small journal from the satchel at her side,"for note taking and important clues we may find." Her sleepy eyes soon filled with anxiety as the Wyrm slowly coiled around to face her.

Sa'lanthia slowly wreathed around as a colder presence disturbed her raging heat of hellfire. She was angry enough.Why, to find her partner and rip her to shreads... she wanted to do just that. But she only managed to release a small, throaty, reverberating roar. She was about to yell until her throat dropped, but Kagarri quickly apprehended her.
"You know you were supposed to be here...30...minutes...AGO!" her mouth opened revealing an extreme gush of lava and fire, not saliva,pouring from her mandibles."Arrrgh...why do you need THE BOOK?"she looked warily at the cringing Kagarri, even closer the journal held in the trembling hand."You could have-no should have- grabbed a few sheets of slate and hurried here!"

She gave another small spasm of fear as all of the anger and hatred overwhelmed her."I-I didn't mean to..." then her spasm went away. She lied down on the smooth stone floor, and put a blank, cheap smile on her face.Salani gave a roll of her eyes as she waited for an answer."Of course my dearest... but slate isn't as useful as this paper I got from that!....Monk?" Kagurra searched the long corridor for that monk she had gained the useful tool from.And it was nowhere to be seen."Huh, mysterious right?Anyways," she hopped to her feet and yawned widely,"we should start heading down...that way!" she stuck her tongue out of her mouth,her face contorted in a look of confidence.She stood as still as a statue.

Salani looked at Kagurri with disdain in her eyes."My gosh.When will the dear ever mature."Sherolled her eyes and spoke as if Kagurri herself were not present. Salani enjoyed every bit of her taunt.
She had never known the meaning of friendliness and didn't want to know then.She just took the blow from her mood swing,became quiet, and slithered on in the direction of the pointed paw of her hopeless friend. Staring at the stones was much more interesting at the moment anyways."Are you coming, or is this gag an hour long?" Her glare bore into the Florana as she coiled around into a heap to look at her. She had no intentions of waiting for an answer.

Kagurra replied with a small sound, one that one would think to come from a drowsy, dizzy animal." Of course I'm coming Salanth."She smiled and yawned as she moved back into a relaxed position. Her eyes never opened, 'less someone happened to look into the and forget there memory... but somehow Sa'lanthia was immune.-Maybe because she's such a hellish creature- she thought with a frowning face." Lopp-dee-lopp-dee-dop!" she rolled on the floor quickly and returned to her feet to look at an impacient, fiery Salanth.

Sa'alanthia glared impaciently as her travel bud rolled on the floor.With a huff and small whisper, she said in a madea stern voice," well hurry up before I make you taste the rainbow." She wrapped her tail around Kagurra and dragged her into the middle of the room. The lovely cieling was captivating, as well as the giant statues. Well, which hallway were they to go down first?
She turned to Kagurra [who still happened to be rolling on the floor despite a strong grip] and asked," well, choose Ms.Looner! Are we going here," she pointed to the first hall,"here," she pointed to the second hall,"or here?" The last hall was dark.

She gasped with a silly air.Sa'alanthia should have never let her choose!"Well,OBVIOUSLY the dark hallway!" she stuck her tongue out again, only her expression was as serious as Salanth's. "I'm serious.The dark places are usually more fun,and how do I say it..." her faced creased in thought as she tapped her bottom lip lightly. What was the word? With a slight glance at Sa'lanthia, she expressed the need of help to jog her thoughts.Though she was had twice the brain creases of 5 humans, she didn't let it show through too often.

Salanth opened her mouth as if to protest, but a sudden magnetic pull seemed to come from the hall.Her eyes glowed as if in a trance.Then the shout from Kagurra snapped her out of it.She twisted around and glared at her partner, a glare to match her sweet grin."Sure.It seems to call to me anyways. Who knows?The dark hallway may be the best of them all!" she slithered eagerly towards the hallway on the right, taking her time to look at the grand statue. She coiled into a pile and looked at Kagurri as she sat before one."You coming?" she slithered into the door way, and hesitated."What exactly are we looking for again?"

Kagurri hurried after her partner who stopped short of the entrance.Her question had made her "chibby face" draw itself across her eyes and mouth. Pointing slightly towards the door, she wiggled her null limb while talking in a babyish voice."Remember? We are on a late expedition for the rare Mekkayenas, the ones said to dwell in this shrine."she shrugged with an I-dunno expression."Hey, it's better than going to Lya Point Cathedral." She nuzzled Salanth's tail slightly with the underside of her chin before she nominated herself to be the first to step into the darkness.

Salanth couldn't believe she had grown a soft side for this explorist. She had been a very...unpleasant creature before she had met her, and now they were practically sisters and counterparts to one another.

She hissed lightly when she saw Kagurri enter the hall first.Who had said anything about her being the leader?!
She slithered beside her fellow explorer, much more eager to view their new surroundings. There were old,chipping columns everywhere. They too looked to made of marble."Wow, Kagurri, lucky thing we both are in ownership of night vision."She looked upwards as if starry-eyed."Then we wouldn't have been able to see these without it." However, she grew doubtful of the hallway that stretched like a tunnel. There were only stone columns lining the walls of the beginning of the passage." Well, we did choose this place," she muttered under her breath as she slithered forward into the darkness, examining the marble columns as she went.As she headed into a deep part of the cave, her eyes acted as flashlights and began glowing red.Though she was compelled to move forward, she stopped to call out to Kagurri."Are you there? Kagurri!"
