As she continued past her joke though Friend tried his best to push that thought to the back of his mind. For now he should just focus on the little family of friends that they had here.

"Also glad we got to have talk. Think sometimes best support is just talking," he started out. They did not get to spend much time alone, but he did greatly value all of Yavis's - all of Vala's - support. "Goes both ways though. Personally better at giving physical aid, but if there is anything on your mind happy to listen. Or even just give a good hug if you need one."

Where she had only meant to make him flustered, she could tell that she had caused him to panic yet again. It was too late to clarify that his children with Vadra would just end up being Dragonborn and breathing fire wouldn’t develop until adulthood in most circumstances... probably. She wasn’t entirely certain but that’s how she had been educated.

For now she just thought that it would be a nice surprise for Friend of Foe when the time came.

Her mind quickly swerved away from potential Friend babies to catching herself from declining the proposition of a Friend hug. Hugs were nice and she shouldn’t have shunned physical affection for so long. Things were too tough to keep being a bitch.

“I uh... mmm. I would not be opposed to a hug right now.”

Without a moment of hesitation, as Vala accepted the offer of a hug the small amount of space that had been between them closed. His torso arched, his lanky arms wrapping gently yet firmly about her half elven form as Friend pulled Vala into his embrace. Words he was terrible with, but this. This was the one way he knew how to comfort, the soft fur of his cheek caressing against her forehead as he nuzzled her as close against himself as he could.

He said nothing as his body shielded her from the mountain's biting winds, letting out only a gentle purr to acknowledge that he was here for her and that the warm embrace would last for as long as she needed it, and as often as she needed it.

Her body tensed for a moment at the suddenness of being wrapped in Friend’s arms. She hadn’t been expecting him to just go for it. But soon she relaxed, holding onto him and hugging him back as if he was the only source of shelter in a thunder storm. He was warm, and safe. And the later of the two she hadn’t felt since she fell asleep in Armory’s arms.

It was difficult not to cry upon realizing that so to hide that fact she wanted to, she buried her face into Friend’s chest and closed her eyes to listen to his purring.

She didn’t know how long she stayed like that but eventually she made space, gently pressing her hands unto his chest and pushing back so she could reach up and kiss his cheek while he was still bent over. He was far too tall otherwise and with being the second shortest in the group, she had to take her opportunities where she could get them.
