Quiet footsteps echoed through the Halls of the Lost. A Void Sahound slowly padded into the hall, his eyes void of emotion. It had to be this way... It was the only way for him to keep his demon under control - to never show emotion. Ever. Not even to those he loved. Sighing, he looked around at the walls, trying not to remember that one fateful day so many years ago, when he had stumbled into something a pup should never encounter. A fate so terrible that it would haunt him until he was dead. The demon lay inside him, waiting, always waiting for its chance to take over his body, and turn it into a killing machine. His musing were interrupted when he caught sight of the light from a Generation Ancient Kuhna's firey tails. Curious, he began to walk toward it, wondering what this Kuhna could be doing here.
Before the Void Sahound could reach Soul, there was a bark from behind him. "Hey look, it's Fidel!" Scout, a Wood Sahound, raced into the hall, her tail wagging furiously. A Seraph Sahound padded calmly behind her, her wings folded neatly against her body. Deciding it wouldn't be wise for them to see him, since they could spark an emotion inside him, Fidel slipped into the shadows.
"Where did he go?" Scout asked, looking around with disappointment. She walked over to the Generation Ancient, and sat down, her tongue lolling comically out of her mouth.
"Hello, I'm Aurelia, and this is Scout," the Seraph said kindly to the Kuhna. "Who are you?" She also sat down, and stretched one wing out luxuriously. In the shadows, Fidel turned away, willing himself not to have any emotion whatsoever. Even love could possibly cause the terrible transformation to his demon form.
