Genesis thought about the question for a moment. "I... I don't know. I'm still kind of dazed from losing Cyclone. We've been together all our lives, so it's hard when he's not there." He looked back to where he had run, and then to another hallway. "He might have gone down this hall," said Genesis, trying to distract himself from thinking about the Mekkayena and Cyclone. He walked slowly down the hall, longing to know where his brother was.

Cyclone began to walk down a hallway, sniffing around as he went, trying to pick up some trace of the others. "Why, oh why did I have to chase that stupid shadow?!" he scolded himself.

And Sukai himself managed to get lost as well. At least it wasn't his cause which was lost. After all, he was looking for the lost Sahound brother. However, that wasn't the end of his troubles. Now, he had to find Cyclone and get back to his companions unharmed. As a result to this thought, Sukai was actually hoping that he would not run into a pack of Mekkayena. Or a Hunter.
After a moment, he caught a whiff of Cyclone. At least-.. he thought it was Cyclone. The halls were so dark, that he wouldn't be able to see him. Wait.. he had lightening around him, didn't he? This made the Sky Yonyuu's spirit soar as he followed the scent, calling out to him once more, "Cyclone? Are you here?"

"Cyclone! Where are you?" Firabi called, nervous that he would get hurt. And then Sukai wasn't anywhere in sight, either...
She looked around her, confused. "What, do I have to get lost, too, just to find them?" she said slightly angrily to whatever spirits might be roaming around here. "Yeesh!"
But she padded hurriedly after Genesis, not wanting to be alone in here. It was creepy, what with everyone vanishing like this. Maybe it was a sign that a Hunter of Mekkayena was soon to come...

As Cyclone:

Growing increasingly tired with each step, Cyclone laid down against a wall, letting his lightning flicker out. Suddenly, he caught scent of something. Where had he smelled it before? He thought for a moment. "Sukai!" he said, remembering. Following the scent, he ran down the hallway toward the Yonyuu.


As Genesis:

Walking close to Firabi, Genesis sniffed around, trying to pick up some trace of Cyclone. He suddenly realized that Sukai was gone, too. "Oh no! Not another!" Genesis panicked. He broke down and sobbed. Wait a minute... he thought. I can use Thought-speech, can't I? "Hey, Firabi, I might be able to contact either Sukai or Cyclone," he suggested. "Let me try."

In a faint distance, Sukai was sure he heard Cyclones voice. His ears lowered, and not being able to contain his heartbeat which was rigid with fright, pushed forward. Hopefully, he wasn't making a mistake.
The good news was, however, that he was looking for something that was lit up, right?
"I'm sure that was Cyclone. I have to find him before he ends up deeper in these Halls." Following his scent in the directions which his voice was coming from, Sukai began to run.
And now, his mind was closed. He just let his legs and senses take over. This wasn't good, for Cyclone was not as far away as Sukai seemed to imagine. At least, not anymore now that he'd been running closer, and closer. Soon, Sukai didn't realize just how close he was, and kept on running... until, before he knew it, crashed into the poor Sahound brother.
It startled Sukai, and he made a startled yelp in response to the body he'd hit.

As Cyclone:
"Huh? What?!" he said, shocked. He couldn't see in the dark, but his sparks let off enough glow to see who it was that rammed into him. "Sukai!" he said, happily. "I'm so glad I met up with you. But that means Genesis and Firabi are alone as well. We'd better try and get back to them," he said all in one breath. Brightening his sparks, he led the way down the dark halls.

"Sssh!" Firabi hissed, lifting her head. "Did you just hear that? It sounded like somebody yelped..."
And, sure enough, a small, tinny noise was echoing off of the walls.
"Hey, you don't think that it could be Sukai or Cyclone, do you, Genesis?"
She waddled in place excitedly, yearning for them to be reunited. Genesis seemed different, emptier, if only slightly, without his brother around. She empathized, knowing how it felt when someone close to you like that went missing...

"Yes... Yes I do believe I heard it, too!" Genesis agreed. "Hey, Firabi. I might be able to contact Cyclone through Thought-Speech. I'll try right now," he said. Genesis Closed his eyes, and conjured up a picture of Cyclone in his mind. Cyclone, can you hear me? It's me, Genesis. Genesis thought as clearly and loudly as he could. After a long pause, a feeling of confusion exploded into his mind, probably coming from Cyclone. He stumbled backward from the effort, and had to lay dawn for a moment to get his head and body straight. "F-Firabi! I just contacted Cyclone. I can probably lead him to where we are!" he said, both tiredly and excited.

Rearing up on his hind legs for a moment, Sukai let out a deep sigh, glad that the creature he ran into was what he was looking for; Cyclone. He shuddered, thinking it could have been something else. He looked up to the Sahound, and lowered his ears.
"Cyclone!" He said sighing,
"Yes, the other two are still alone.. but at least you no longer are." He said reassuring him. They had each other now, as Firabi had Genesis. "I don't think that it'll be too hard to get back to them.." He said to him, "We just need.... a plan."

"'A plan...'" Cyclone repeated. Cyclone, can you hear me? It's me, Genesis. he suddenly heard in his head. "Hey, Sukai, did you hear that? I think I just heard Genesis's voice! But... from where?"

Firabi clacked her claws against the stone excitedly.
"You contacted him?!" she whispered, not wanting to break the Sahound's concentration. "What is he saying?"
Seeing him so tired out wasn't doing much good for her emotions. "Aww, don't try too hard. It wouldn't be beneficial for you to pass out or the like around here, my friend."
Patiently she folded her wings about herself, preparing to wait a while if Genesis was in need of a rest; she knew that crafts such as this were most often very strenuous for whomever wished to tamper with them.

Genesis chuckled. "I suppose you are right. But, about your question," he said. "I contacted him... Somehow... But all I got was a huge wave of confusion." He shuffled his paws nervously. "I-it took a lot of energy out of me, but I think part of that was that huge wave of shock and confusion." He looked at Firabi. "I'm going to try again." Genesis closed his eyes, and pictured Cyclone once again. Cyclone. Please do not be alarmed. I'm Genesis, your brother. I'm going to guide you out.

Watching the brother, Sukai strained his ears forward, trying to hear the voice. He ended up with nothing.
"Sorry... I don't hear anything." Murmured the Yonyuu quietly. "Perhaps.. it's Telepathy?" He guessed, not too sure if it was himself.
"If not, which direction are you hearing the voice, Cyclone? We need to follow it to find them again."

"I... I don't know where it came from. It sort of came from inside my head," Cyclone said, confused. Suddenly, he heard in his head, Cyclone. Please do not be alarmed. I'm Genesis, your brother. I'm going to guide you out. Genesis? Cyclone thought with relief. Guide me out? How?! With Thought-speech, my brother. Tell me, are you alright? Yes, I'm fine. Sukai is with me as well. Very good. Let's get started, then. Genesis sent his words to Cyclone. "Sukai! It's Genesis using Thought-speech. He's going to get us out!"

I wish I could learn telepathy, Firabi thought as she gazed evenly at the Sahound. Because if I could hear the thoughts of others, I would be able to tell if they were friend or foe.
"I wonder if you could share thoughts with any other creature, if you tried." the Hollowheart said softly. If he was too far under to hear her, she wouldn't mind. It seemed to her that the most important thing now was getting the other two travelers back from the Hall of the Lost. Oh, these cursed rooms! They would never steal another thing from Firabi again. She would make sure of it.
