"See? You really should pay more attention." Ezekiel shrugged the elder Lucain off and smoothed out his fur, nodding briefly to the other Celestial Lucain.
"Oh..oh, right! Yeah, I'm Famfrit..sorry 'bout that, I got too carried away. But yeah, this is your brother, Zeke and your other sister Lenore's still back home." He let out a short, sheepish sort of chuckle after responding to all he heard his child ask, like one would use when they got caught stealing from the cookie jar and tried to brush it off with a joke. One ear flicked with a small shift of the blades coming from his shoulder blades. It was an odd sort of silence, like when a parent finally found an orphaned child. A mother always knows its child. Even if he hadn't seen Enylet in forever, there was still that primal bond. For the Triumvate's sake, he carred the pup for a while, birthed him and raised him for a few weeks until he was old enough to go home with Xenev. Question is, while a mother always recognizes it's child, would the same be true in reverse?
"You can call me Fam though, or whatever else you like.." With a silly grin, he folded large arms across his chest as he watched the other pace and listened to him continue talking. The news was grim, but one, he'd prepared for it, and two, while he was a bit..disheartened and frightened, he'd never show it. He didn't want Zeke to see his parent be afraid of trying new things, to see it was good to swallow pride and fears in order to better oneself. Well, he didn't think anything was wrong with himself, but Klaus urged him to go, and he liked to see her happy, too. "I know..and I understand. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't prepared to subject myself to that." That was Famfrit for you, constantly putting others before his self. Klaus knew him well, as did his children, and they knew when he was upset, and saw how frustrated they could get when he pretended nothing was wrong, but they shouldn't worry about him. He'd get over it, and besides, he felt so selfish when he thought about telling them. They shouldn't have to carry his petty burdens.
Ezekiel lifted a brow, an ear going back in contemplation as he listened quietly to the exchange, keeping a careful eye on the other two Lucain. He knew better. Famfrit was worried and afraid, but he was too defensive and selfless like that to tell anyone. In itself, those were good traits, but Fam took it to excess, and it worried those around the house when they saw him mope in his room while he worked himself up into rebounding and coming back just as cheerful as ever. But there was always a sad note to what he said.
Then this other Lucain, his brother, was saying he shouldn'tve come. True, perhaps, but he was curious. He wanted to know. Hell, he had a right to know. He highly doubted he'd let Xenev get away with running test on him and using him as a guinea pig like his father was willing to do--in some ways, it was crazy, submitting to the Triumvate knows what for the sake of others..
Zeke shook his head slowly, then, with a strong but not at all harsh tone, interrupted Famfrit before he could say much in response to the last bit. Fam blinked and looked at his boy with a mild bit of surprise, but otherwise just let him talk with a low chuckle as Zeke's tone softened to it's usual indifferent mildness. "I'm hoping his reaction will be good enough that I might gain something from the meeting. I'm sorry Fyuri will react as such, but it's of no fault of mine which puppy went with whom, so she'll have to live with it. If she doesn't react so harshly, then I'd love to talk with her and yourself."
He stopped and took a deep breath, contemplating the last words.. "I am your brother, and I'll stay with Famfrit until the process begins unless otherwise asked, but I will not be made an experiment out of, rest assured.
Famfrit made a slight face, his indecision clear on his face before hunkering up and treading over to Enylet, looking him over in a curious way. "Zeke, don't sass your brother, he's doing you a favor." His head pulled back a bit as eyes went a little wider before a hearty smile spread across his black lips and he threw an arm around his shoulders and gave him a one-armed hug as if he'd known him all his life.
"Aside from the colors, you look more like your father..but I remember when you were born~" Zeke lifted a brow at Famfrit, how open and impulsive he was, and kept an eye on Enylet, curious how he'd respond as Famfrit, keeping an arm around him, held out both hands..maybe seven inches apart at most. "I went into the clinic often to make sure everything was going right..it's not normal for me to be able to carry pups, and I always made sure I had a sonogram taken, especially after all your legs developed since one of you just wouldn't stop wiggling around and kicking, especially a little while after I ate something you didn't like. Oh! And I had to get a Caesarian section, and they took you out first and just fawned, and you were about that big, the biggest one. You started wiggling and whining right then, so they cleaned you off first and swore you'd look just like me." He tilted his head, pouting his lower lip somewhat in an approving manner. "They were just a little off, but I think you still turned out fine.~" He was tempted to say more, but he bit his tongue, thinking it better not to add that last bit about these four being the result of an experiment on himself. 'Might pour salt in the wounds.
Zeke just rolled his eyes and tread over towards them. Famfrit was trying to welcome Enylet, but in a..cheesy way. He didn't say anything on it, though, as he was contemplating switching over to Reven.
