Ardenix loved the way the crisp air felt moving in and out of his lungs. It was cold--stinging cold--but it was pure, full of nothing but the smell of trees and snow and cold stone. It felt... natural. Unpopulated. Well, unpopulated save for the large numbers of people who'd signed up to investigate these cave systems, but he and Vinezza had managed to find a spot away from all the
rank amateurs to make their ingress.
With her naturally thick coat of fur, the cold didn't seem to bother Vinezza at all. Similarly, as the bigger and stronger of the two, she was tasked with carrying their goods. Ardenix went up to her and removed one of their canteens for a quick swig. Even the water he'd bottled down in town tasted good up here.
