The Fe'gan Mountains are the highest, coldest mountains Lambastia has to offer, with the highest peak recorded at 8589 m (28,179 ft). Only the toughest creatures survive here, and the trek to get to the Basantha Shrine lays through these harsh conditions. (+3 Endurance)

The war was never over. Even in brisk, early winter mornings like this, where early frost covered everything in a fine glitter and made every plant, twig, and carcase shine; there was no cover for the sheer amount of bloodshed and fighting that had taken place over the last century.

It had grown quieter, sure. Far less large battle fields with impressive battle-cries and righteous vows before charging into the enemies front line, and a lot more laying low, taking on the mannerisims of the enemy, and infiltraiting them from their civilian strongholds.

Ivicus’ eyes slowly opened, bathing the carved empty carven in a minty-green glow. His markings pulsated as he came back to reality, his mind having been wandering greater hieghts and dimensions than could ever be expressed. He’d been a general, but at the last cataclysmic failure from his previous leader, took off to make his own mark on the world- and in the war.

Others in the group had proclaimed him to be a deciever, and in the same breath, an unintelligent gambit who caused their loss. He understood why for the most part;  he’d done his fair share in making bad judgement calls, but those calls where only made on the behalf of people who he didn’t understand and were aiming for something he didn’t beleive could happen.

Now he had an idea, and with his links set up, knew it was time to act.

Pha, a soft brown lizardman wearing greenbattle arments came stepping in. The lizardfolk always walked like chickens; despite that prideful stride, all Ivicus coiuld see was a lowly bird. What luck it was that they were so keen on having an open mind, ripe for his ideologies to place and internal moral compass to change.

”Sir,” Pha halted a few meters away from the massive Battleheart that almost seemed to lounge in the large cavern, taking up most of the available space with thick black scales and his eerie glow. Pha saluted before speaking,”We’ve managed to track down the messanger. Goh and Tung are in pursuit and ready to apprehend him.”

Ivicus’ cold, glowing eyes looked down at the muddy lizard, sending a rushing emotion of proud fullfillment and approval. The lizardmen softly blinked, knee’s nearly buckling as the mental hold on him was filled with the strong feelings.
”Good work soldier,” Ivicus murmured, “Be sure to bring that flighty bird back here before me. I would like to talk with this being personally.”

Goh gave another salute and turned tail, taking quick pace back out towards the cold morning andits brisk daylight.

They were made for more tropic conditions and warmer weather, but Goh did not mind. Infact, he almost always felt fine all the time. The cold wasn’t noticed, despite the way his body shivered and shuddered, and what bit of awareness still hung around in his mind took joy in the way his breath was noticeable in the cold air. The rest of his awareness was on an autopilot, that seemed heartily stuck on following Ivicus’ orders.

Hand on the hilt of his sword, he took off through the tree’s, ducking, diving, and leaping silently through the dusted underbrush. His kind were made for running and terrain battleground, and moving through the underbrush was an easy enough task. The hard part was re-linking up with his brothers in arms, who were atleast a few miles off, chasing down a suspect with information to the enemies front lines.

He slowed to a stop, head snapping to and fro, picking out a thin trail and bounding down it with precise decision. It was these faint trails that smaller mammals used that always turned out to be key for scouting ahead. Very few on either side bothered to check out such faint map lines. Goh was smart though, and he’d spent a long time (how long had it been? He couldn’t remember..) running back and fourth along the tree’s, taking out enemies (or so he thought, it was all such a heavy blur) that he quickly learnt that all these trails stopped by an important spot; the river.

His running gradually came to a stop, breathing a little heavier but not a ton. He was far more interested in a faint ‘click’ felt in the back of his mind;  his brothers were in the range of their mental bond.
