Raindrop

Three taigras stood on the hot desert sand, two females and one male. The two females were arguing. "I want to join the war, Cloud!" Shouted the purine taigra "I would if SOMEONE would go with me!" she shouted, glaring at the other two. "No. No one is going with you, you're too weak and you know it Raindrop!" snapped the bleach taigra, Cloud "besides, I did agree we could come train with other pets, it gives you better fighting experience without being in the war." she said. Raindrop grunted. "Come on Rainny my friend, lighten up!" said the male, a glacial taigra, calling her by the name he had made up for her "hey you two are sisters, you shouldn't be fighting." he concluded. "Okay Shadow." said the other two, almost in unison.

The group decided to try to find an oasis or at least a cooler area to train...and wait. Eventually, after 40 minuites of searching, they came across a beautiful pond surrounded by grass and a few trees. Shadow, tired from all of his walking, laid down in the shade. Cloud found some bowl-like fruit shells, and got water from the pond. Raindrop, racing for a tree, climbed it and laid within the leaves Wow. leaves. This is a very lush oasis. she thought as she hid, waiting.

Shadow watched Cloud, then looked at Raindrop and sighed. I can't believe Raindrop is stronger than us... he thought.
Cloud walked over to him and set down the bowls of water, then laid down beside him and nuzzled him. "I wish Raindrop would stop acting like a child. I may be her best friend, and do those childish things with her, but I only do it because I can't bear to see her upset, no more than I can you." Shadow said, looking into Cloud's eyes and giving her a comforting lick.

Raindrop watched Shadow and Cloud from above them. She was now getting really good at getting around without anyone (except Forestgem) knowing. She snarled when Shadow licked Cloud, then leaping out of the tree, she let out an angry yowl and landed on her sister's back.

Hearing the yowl, Shadow jumped up and tried to knock Cloud out of the way. He had a feeling that something like that would happen. However, he failed. He watched as Cloud screeched in pain and tried to shake her sister off. I wish they would stop fighting over me. Shadow thought as he dove for Raindrop, knocking her off her sister. He looked at cloud and winced when he saw her laying on the grass, her sides covered in bleeding scratches. Raindrop was only slightly stronger than Cloud, but Cloud wasn't
a fighter and couldn't bring herself to fight her own sister, especially in a surprise attack, where Raindrop had the advantage. Shadow looked at Raindrop, pinned underneath his paws. "Are you crazy? You could have killed her!" he yelled, "Stop being a fool and think about someone other than yourself for once!" Raindrop winced at that comment and relaxed while watching sadly as Shadow walked away from her.

Shadow walked over to cloud and nuzzled her. "I'll get you water" he told her, and walked off to the pond to do so. When he came back, he cleaned her wounds then helped her sit up to drink. Cloud and Raindrop fought occasionally, but this was the first time he's seen Cloud with wounds this bad. Cloud noticed him looking at her sadly and with a glance at her sister, who was staring into the pond, she licked Shadow's shoulder. "I'm fine Shadow. Don't worry about me. I needed the training anyway." she said, trying to comfort him. "Training? She had the advantage. She could have killed you!" he said to her, surprised and angry.
"Yes, she had the advantage, but I should have been more aware so I wasn't open to attack."
"Aware? We were resting. Raindrop needs disipline."
"She also needs experience and something to do. Go practice fighting with her."
"You're right, I'll go." Shadow sighed. "Raindrop!" He called. "Want to practice fighting?"
Raindrop looked up at them. "Sure." she said, sounding, for once in her life, uneager.

Finite

Darn, it was hot out here. How could anything live in this cursed desert? The Battlefield Serraptor dragged himself across the scoarching sand. Why, why, why did he come here in the first place? The answer was simple of course: he came to train. Aha, but why did he choose this place? Most pets trained here, so...he might as well.

Sometimes he wished he didn't have a split personality. It was so bothersome...

The keen eyes scanned the barren land for life. Oh? There were three Taigras out there. Maybe they were friendly and would let him have some water. The Serraptor closed his eyes and imagined the crystal clear water. He couldn't take it anymore: he needed water...now! Summoning the last of his strength, he ran toward the three Taigras, hoarsly shouting: "Hey! Hey!"

The three turned their heads and saw the serraptor. "He looks really thirsty...maybe he needs water." Cloud said. She started to get up but hissed in pain and had to sit down again. "Stay here. I'll talk to him. You need to relax until those wounds heal." Shadow said, walking towards the serraptor calmly. Cloud, knowing that the desert could be vicious without water, called her sister. Raindrop heard her sister and reluctantly walked over. "Raindrop, get some water for the serraptor there. He doesn't look like he brought any water with him." Cloud told her. She sighed.Typical, Cloud is bossing me around again. she thought, but obeyed anyway. The serraptor DID look like he needed a drink. A minuite later, she was following Shadow with a bowl of water.

"argh!" Darkflame flew through the air and landet on his back.
His head seemed to burst of pain. Blinking into the hot sun, he
recognized a Demonic, Horse like Face of a Frightmare, blending into his sight. "That was...Idiotic" The Serraptor rasped, trying to get up on his own two legs again. Blade snorted. "Jes...jes it was...never atack a Frightmare." lashing his tail,
he turned his atention to the sky, where a giant Battleheart flew.
Moonhowl landet nearby, causing the earth to shake and Darkflame to fall over again. Snarling, he stood up again, gazing angrily at the Female Dragonlike creature, who smiled softly. Blade Chuckeled, then suddently, his head spun arround. "schhhhh..." he hissed "do you hear that?"
Darkflame whirled arround. There where voices nearby. "Should we go and meet them?" Moonhowl asked. "well..." The serraptor shrugged
"lets give it a try."
Darkflame rushed forward, followed by the others. He saw three Taigras,and a very thirsty looking Serraptor. Slowly, he walked towards them, in an not-aggresive pose. "hello!" he greeted, bobbing his head.
right behind him, Blade appeared, grinning creepily. Moonhowl flew abow the scenario, ready to attack if it was nessesarry

Cloud wheeled around, falling over and yelping in pain. Shadow turned when he hard Cloud yelp and ran over to her. Raindrop sighed, putting the water down. She gestured to the battlefield serraptor to drink, and bristled up at the new group. Shadow sighed. He hurried in helping Cloud back into a comfortable position, then walked over to stand in front of Raindrop. "Hello. To all of you." he said, remembering that he had not yet said hello to the first pet that came. Then Raindrop hissed, and Shadow put his tail up to her mouth to shush her. Then he noticed why she had hissed. He tensed at the sight of the huge battleheart. Yet did nothing. He didn't want to be offensive.

Darkflame noticed that Cloud and shadow got nerveous about Moonhowl.
"its okay" he said to both, the Battleheart and the Taigras. Moonhowl landet a little more gently than before and gave a little bow to Shadow,Cloud,Raindrop and Finite,not without glaring at them through
wise,piercing eyes.  The Cursed Serraptor was more worried about Blade,
who still stood there with an eery,twisted grin atached on his face. He begged that he would stay like this for a while, not doing anything too creepy. finally he said: "My name is Darkflame, this..." he looked at The Battleheart "...Is Moohowl, and the Fryghtmare is...BLADE!" he hissed angrily, as Blade tried to sneek up behind Cloud. The Frightmare snorted, causing little sparks to fly out of his nostrills,and joined his group again.
"I hope its okay if we could just get a drink here" Darkflame sayd.

Cloud tensed and growled when the Fryghtmare came up behind her. Shadow nodded to Darkflame, keeping an eye on Blade. He wasn't taking chances with Cloud being injured. "Of course you can drink here. We don't care, but..." he trailed off, turning to speak to the Frygtmare. "Don't even think about going after Cloud, over there. We, especially Raindrop here, wouldn't mind a fight. By the way, I'm Shadowclinger, Shadow for short." he said, gesturing to the other two Taigras as he mentioned them.

Battlefield Serraptor

Scarjaw watched the group of pets in the oasis from a distance.  He was not afraid, not even of the Battleheart.  Then again he was never afraid.  It was a battleheart that taught him to know when to be afraid.  That was one lesson he didn't listen to.  He felt uneasy about the other Battlefield Serraptor.  He never liked seeing his own kind.  It made him uneasy.

"Looks like quite a party you got goin' on over here," he said as he climbed down from his cover up in a tree.  "I trust that you will be kind enough to give me some water."  Even though he knew they would, that was a lie.  He trusted no one.  No one except Dawnhoof.

Blade chuckeled and looked at Shadow in an irritating and povokating way.
He wouldnt mind a fight either, but he prefered to just stay calm here.
"I'm sorry " he said with his deep, dark voice and gave Cloud a overstated
bow. Darkflame watched the whole scene very axious, but relaxed.
this was close to a fight, but obveously the atmosphere was better again.
The whole group tensed when Scarjaw appeared. Moohowl was gazing at the new one very closely. He did not seemed too afraid or uneasy, and
that was rather unusual. She dind not liked it, but in fact, everyone who aproaches a Battleheart at least is very carefull. But this battlefield Serraptor aperrently was not, and that iritated her. but perhaps she just
was seeing ghosts.

Tentative depths of an ancient amber hue reflected the multitude of figures that dwelled just beyond a moments travel. Their auras radiated as varied as her own hue, yet she knew their intentions – they had all gathered in this place to fight. Training, to be more specific, something she too lacked in great accumulation. The opportunity presented now would do nicely to alleviate that matter though, and pushing herself up from the depths of her shallow trench, the prismatic fenling began towards the group. From even this distance, Aea had begun gathering an assessment of the situation towards which she strolled. There were three tairgas, three serraptors, one hollow heart, and a frightmare. Not exactly the sort of company such a small creature would usually approach. Aea knew she had the advantage of natural adaption though, so with ears set forward and tails ever so slightly raised, she strode in to the gathering. Without looking to either side she walked to the water and bent her head. "Excuse me."And with no further invitation she began lapping up the crystal clear liquid that had drawn them all together. Would they take advantage of her stance? Or was she right to be at ease? Aea swiveled her large ears to find out just what movement they were planning to make.

Shadow narrowed his eyes at Blaze, but nodded and turned to look at the Serraptor that had just come into view. He nodded. "Yes. We won't keep water from you in the desert." he said. When the Fenling walked up, their eyes went to her. Raindrop laughed when the small Fenling so boldly took a drink from the pond. Cloud smiled. This newest arrival was the only one of them all who was bold and wasn't wary of the others.

It wasn't that the fenling wasn't wary, but she did possess a certain flair for concealing it. Only after sating her thirst did she draw up to her full height and allow her body the instinctual pleasure of shaking the dust from her spectrum fur. The sensation was absolutely marvelous and she continues from muzzle to each tail tip until thoroughly convinced she was clean and thus prepared to take on the matter with full bitter force.
Languidly she turned her gaze towards the taigras and allowed a smirk to form upon her features. "You find my presence amusing, Taigra? I find it to be very much so for the fact a jungle dweller is so far from their homeland." But weren't they all? Well, save for she. The large eyed, large eared, and minuscule frame did make her well suited for the sweltering enviroment. The Fenling lowered herself to sit upon her back haunches while her optics traces the figures around her. Their auras were so deliciously distorted..a shudder not entirely unpleasant ran through her. "Where are my manners. I'm Aea. Welcome to the desert."
