Veloc wasn't the happiest person on the sea. He didn't suffer from sea-sickness, he just didn't like it. He knew he'd like their destination even less, and should cherish the water while he had it, but found it simply impossible. Their vessel really wasn't helping. It was large for a raft, but still a bit cramped for the amount of people on board. He looked around at the Kodile, Tundragoon, and Kuhna. How this raft held together was beyond him. It was merely a large amount of logs tied together.  He had made it, and even he wasn't proud. But stay together it did, and the makeshift sail was powering them along.

The reason that he didn't like the water? It was quite simple, really. He couldn't swim. It had just never come up. Besides, with water, you just didn't know what looked below. Could be a shark, could be a robotic squid...

could be a demonic fellow using magic to breathe under water.

"Land." Stated Veloc, for indeed you could see land in the distance. The Wilt'no Desert, driest place on the planet. Absolutely no place for three cold-lovers and a thick-furred kuhna.

Are we there already? The Kodile icewing had just woken up from a nap. I cant belive we were able to travel this far on this hunk-of-junk!He then took a few steps forward to the front of the "ship".  So. How much longer do you think we will get there. Because if its going to be a while im going to sleep a bit more.

Gymsei simply stared out at the vast amount of sea that they had gone over.  "You know what, I'm gonna enjoy this last time of coolness before we have to go onto that accursed, barren heated no-man's land."  And with that, she jumped in to the water.  Hopefully though, there wouldn't be any Kalamarei in the water, since she had a bit of thing with that type of water creature.  But nonetheless, she was just happy to relax and float along side the raft.  "Hey, Veloc!  Can you throw me that rope?  The one coiled up beside the sail?"  Gymsei was just going to tie the lose end to one of her tails so that she wouldn't have to worry about paddling to keep up with the others.  Just float along and think of ways to help Kyune.  There had to be some way. "Hey, doesn't he have any other enemy?  Someone as bad as that King?  Someone who is his pure enemy?  Because if you're right, about him needing a bane of some sort to keep him moving, to keep him powerful, all we would have to do is introduce him to the bane, it might just help him."  "I agree, if what you say is true Veloc, but the question still remains.  Would he be powerful enough to defeat his inner self?"

[Draco]

"Another hour or so, unless the wind picks up." Veloc replied, tossing the rope to Gymsei. "Yes, that is one of the reasons we are headed to the desert, instead of going directly to Basantha. Not only because we would have died in the violent waters around there, but because Kyune has enemies in the desert. Well, his father had enemies in the desert, and that transcends generations. A tribe of insect-warriors lives here, and their chief happened to be one of his father's bounties." Veloc whistled. "His last bounty, actually. He killed the last Oni King, he killed the chief of a Nagi tribe, he killed many beasts of unimaginable power. But the Sca'har chief is what killed him. If anything can act as a bane to Kyune, it's that."
"It may also be protection to us. They will recognize him, even in his current form. They are not so savage as the Oni's, and will have no desire to take our lives. But Kyune, they will attack in full force. I doubt they will succeed in killing him with his current power, but they will hold him off long enough for us to get to Basantha. That's the plan, and it depends entirely on us finding the one and only Sca'har tribe in resistance amidst the thousands of dunes of the Wilt'no."

[Firetra]

*yawn* Well thats nice for us. A chance to slow him dow and a free getaway.He then layed down on the raft. If you need my help just wake me ok.He then closed his eyes and you ten could hear a slight rumble. That would be his snoring.

[Elektra]

Chuckling when the little Kodile started that snoring of his, Sleet looked at him questioningly.  "Sure can make a lot of noise for a little guy..." he said before falling asleep.  "Boys..." Gymsei mumbled herself.  

(Wow, sorry, I'm really just failing today... )

[Draco]

"But guys... don't assume that the Sca'har won't harm you. They have been a bit on edge lately, with their last chief dying of old age. Now they are trying to pick a new one. This isn't like elections, or even family line. It is the strongest sca'har in the tribe, and the grueling tests to find who have made them a bit quick-tempered. If you anger one, you won't know what hit you. And you most likely never will." Veloc shook his head, remembering his last none-to-pleasant encounter with the Sca'har. They had six legs like most insects, but were seven feet tall and walked upright. Two for walking, four for fighting. Their favorite weapons were long poles, with jagged arrowhead blades at both ends. Beautifully crafted, one of Veloc's knives was sca'haran. He felt he could maybe hold his own against one, and that was if the insectoid was armed with a pair of chopsticks. Even then, his chances wouldn't be good.

[Elektra]

"Well, we can always try you know.  And I'm pretty good with reasoning you know.  Perhaps we could work out something with them.  Wouldn't it work to try?" Gymsei said calmly.  Hopefully they could wrok out something with them, or else there was going to be a lot of fighting.  "So how far do you think we are from there?"

[Draco]

"Of course we are going to try, not like we have any other choice. Oh, and this is generally about the time when something bursts out of the water and tries to eat us, I almost drown, but we make it there anyways.. So, Gymsei, you might want to get up here. Besides, the waters will get rough soon. I hear there are whirlpools around here, even maelstroms." Veloc said, keeping an eye out for anything. Of course, it would be under the raft, but whatever. He had been on enough adventures like this to generally know what will happen next.

((You can make up what bursts out, but it has to be SOMETHING. Just wouldn't be an ocean trip without something bursting out of the water. ))

[Elektra]

"I doubt that there's anything coming after us, I mean, really, you're just getting to uptight.  Relax, will y-" Gymsei was cut off, and surprised when something grabbed her.  "Help m-" she managed to get out before being dragged under the water.  Despite how much she struggled, whatever was grabbing her wouldn't let go, and still kept tugging her under.  Gymsei was running out of breath, her lungs were ready to burst, and she was getting dizzy, her eyesight getting fuzzy.  

"Gym!" Sleet shouted.  He knew that she was a very strong swimmer, so whatever was pulling her under had to be strong.  He couldn't swim well in such warm waters himself, but he was just about to jump off when he was pulled back.  "What are you doing?!  We have to do something!"  Then he remembered that Gymsei had tied that rope to her, and Sleet went over to the rope, and began to pull it up, but after a few tugs, he came to a tattered end...  "Do something!" he said angrily.

[Firetra]

Icewing woke up suddently at the sound of screaming. Wh-w- what are we there yet? *yawn*! He then saw Sleet holding up a tattered rope and little bubbles coming out of the water. Oh my gos-Bam he too was pulled under. But lucky for him he was part Hydrokuhna so he could breathe under water. (read oni king about pgs. 5-7) He then saw what was grabbing him. It was a octopus about 20Ft wide and about 30ft long. it had 8 muscular arms and in the other was Gymsei. He quickly shot out a burst of water and then quickly froze that area. one arm down. He then shot a jet of water to propell him to Gymsei. he then use the same method and shot to the surface. Giant Octopus get down! He then shot back into the water and was going to defeat it when he saw what was around it. THERE WERE 5 MORE!

[Elektra]

Gymsei turned her head and saw Icewing jetting along, but after that she went black.  Just limply floating there, in the creatures tentacles.  "Icewing!"  Turning to Veloc, Sleet was ready to scream.  "So what do we do!" he questioned angrily.  "Just let them float there?"

[Draco]

Veloc shook his head and sighed. "Get down where, exactly? We are on a flat raft." He asked, and the they weren't one a flat raft anymore. One of the octo's tentacles had slammed into it from below, sending all of them flying into the air. Veloc acted fast, and grabbed at the sail, hoping to use it to slow his decent. He couldn't reached, and plummeted straight into the water. He kicked around wildly, wishing that he had taken the time to learn how to swim. He knew how to fight, at least. So went an octopus came at him, he threw a knife at it. He aimed for where he assumed the brains were, and the knife went all the way through. Darkness was beginning to cloud his vision as the still leaving octopus grabbed him, intent on strangling. This wasn't right. There was something wrong about this octopus, and then he realized what...

It wasn't real. It was made of shadows, and Veloc instantly knew who had made it. He began to lash out with his feet again, desperately needing air. His vision was blurred and blackening, his lungs screaming. Finally he opened his mouth, unable to hold bag the reflex, and water rush into his lungs. After that, everything went and gone. He was out cold.

((Yea... it's just that octopuses (octopi?) don't attack people, so I had to make up a reason. Someone mind rescuing him?))

Gymsei snapped out of it suddenly, just in time to see Veloc throw a knife at one, but it seemed to just go straight threw...like a...a shadow.  That was it!  This thing was simply an illusion.  Rushing to Veloc, she had freed herself, and rushed him to the top.  Sleet caught on, and hoisted him up, while Gymsei focused, looking through it.  She easily dispelled the illusion since she was able to access her abilities better than most, and hoped that Icewing would be able to catch on soon enough.

[Firetra]

When Icewing  was battleing one. The one cloesest to the surface dissapered in a cloud of shadow!Then he noticed that he could slightly see through the octpi. And right behind them way Kyune. He had actualy followed them underwater through the whole ocean! But he pobably did not remember his powers. He called up all his stregth and summoned a malestrom! It started as a very small whirlpool. The it grew into the full power of the storm. he qickly summoned his will of the water to bend him and all of his freinds into a tight bond of water. He then rocketed them the whole way to shore. He then passed out on the sandy beach.


((dont ask why he didn't do that to get him accross the whole ocean. It takes all of his strenth to do that. and he already depleated his power with the malestrom so that was the furthest he  could get on that power.))
