Abstract had somehow managed to pick the worst spot for training. In the middle of a burning hot desert. Wow.
Inspite of the heat, he still felt like he could do anything. Today was the day he was going to do a liiiiiiiiiittle self training.
He had dragged a boombox across the desert for this training, and he wasn't turning back now. He set the boombox down, pressed the on button, and listened as loud, bubbly music poured out of the speakers.
He took a step back and waited for the words to come on. There was some quick chattering and then....
To the left, take it back now yall.
Abstract did this action and bounced up and down, ready for the next movement.
1 hop this time, right foot lets stomp.
He smiled as he hopped and stomped his foot.
Left foot let's stomp, Cha cha real smooth.
He did the stomping and then began to 'cha cha'.
Believe it or not, he was enjoying himself more and more as the song went on.

Abstract was literally prancing around, smiling and giggling to himself. Now, this might not be training to some regular passerby.... But to him, this was all he needed.
Still grinning, he turned around as the direction came and stopped abruptly. He peered into the distance, his jaw slowly dropping. "No way." He hissed grumpily.

Trillium, the Cake Kuhna, had arrived. "Hey Abs."  She smiled pleasantly, as if this didn't bother him at all. She turned in a circle, flicking her tails.
"Trill. Abstract greeted grudgingly. "Why are you here?"
She sniffed, "Just because you get to train doesn't mean I can't."
"Yeah but-"
"-But you invited Edge, not me? I know. She told me, that's why I'm here."
He was nearly red with frustration. "Fine. Whatever. Stay. But you better be gone by the time Edge gets here!"
Trillium smiled faintly, "Oh, is that so? Are you sure you don't want me to stay? Or do you just want some alone time with Edge?"
"NO!" He growled defiantly, "Stay, then. See if I care.
Her smile brightened. She walked over to the boombox and turned it off. "Enough with that stuff. Time for some real training."
"Real training, eh?" He sneered, "What's 'real training'?"
Trillium rolled her eyes and pounced on him.
"ARRRG!" The two Kuhnas went rolling across the sand. Abstract more or less was freaking out, and Trillium... Well, she was just laughing as if it was the funniest thing in the world.

Yawning, Edge came walking through the desert. She had been waiting for this day for a long time, and now it was finally here. Little did she know, the training had already started.

"Get off me!" Abstract hissed.
"Not until you fight!" Trillium growled back.
"FINE!" He leaped out of her grip and turned to face her. "It's about time you learned your lesson." He lunged at her, rays of light spiraling out of his eyes.
Her eyes widened. "Eep!" She somehow managed to sidestep the rays and run towards a small, unstable tree.
Abstract raced after her, quickly catching up. "RRAAAAAA!!!" He lunged again, he could feel his paws hitting her fur and then... He hit the hard, crusty floor.
"Eergg...." He groaned and looked up.
Trillium sat on the highest branch, swishing her tails happily.

Edge trotted over the hill. "Hey!" She called and raced down. She smiled at the scene before her. "Am I too late?" She giggled.
"No." Abstract pushed himself to his paws. "You're just in time. We were just.... uh.... practicing?"
"Riiiiiiight." The Hydrokuhna laughed and padded to one side of the clearing. "Well, let's see what you got."
He ran at her, even though he really really didn't want to. At the last second before impact, he leaped over her.
Her paws immediately flew upward, slamming into his stomach and flipping him over.
He hit the floor with a thump. "Oooooggg...."
She laughed and turned around. "Wow. Nice gymnastics."
Abstract looked at her and rolled over. He got to his paws once more. "How'd you do that?"
Edge shrugged. "I made friends with Rhea."
He narrowed his eyes. "Right. Sure. Like I'm supposed to believe that."
Trillium snickered from her tree.

"It's true!" Edge protested.
"Fine, whatever." Abstract rolled his eyes. "Can we get back to the training?"
She smiled, "Definitely. But this time Trillium and I."
He opened his mouth to protest but then quickly shut it. "Alright." He muttered.
Trillium leaped from her spot in the tree down to the ground. "But that's no fair! I don't have any of the stuff you guys have!"
"So? You did just fine against me." Abstract laughed. "Come on."
Edge nodded in agreement.
"Fine." She growled and backed up. She ran at the Hydrokuhna, hoping her speed would give her the advantage.
Edge sidestepped and lunged at her from the side. They tussled in the dirt for awhile.... A long while.
Trillium pushed upwards on her hindlegs and flew out of her grip, somehow managing to land on her feet. That was the one thing Edge didn't have. The ability to get out.
Smiling to herself, Trill dashed forward, not waiting for Edge to move. She tackled her, got her in a tight grip, and didn't let go.
"Grrrrrrraaaaahhh!!!" Edge squirmed and pushed and kicked... But nothing seemed to work. She was stuck.
"Fine. You win." She grumbled and Trill let go.
She got to her paws and glared at the Cake Kuhna.
Abstract just laughed.

"That was SO funny!" Abstract chuckled. "Edge, the so-called friend of Rhea, got beat by Trill, the really weird, bizarre, weak weirdo!" He laughed and laughed and laughed.
Edge scowled. "Be quiet!" She hissed.
He just kept laughing.
She pounced, ramming into him.
"AHH-he he-HHH!" He laughed and pawed at her face.
"Hmph." Edge rolled away from him and sat down. She then began to clean her paws.
"Okay, ew." Trillium made a disgusted face.
"What? Don't you wash your paws too?" A surprised look shifted onto Edge's face.
"Well, I do... But... Not like that."
Abstract burst into another round of laughing.

Edge scowled again. "Then tell me how you're supposed to do it."
"Well, I usually use a-
Abstract zoned out. He did NOT want to hear about cleaning paws. Was Edge really 'friends' with Rhea? And if so, did that mean she was friends with Haunted?
He shuddered. Haunted scared him. Then again, Ghost scared him too. His eyes came back into focus, as well as his ears and then caught the last of there conversation.
"Oh! I see." Edge nodded.
Trillium smiled and then spoke. "Alright guys, it's time for some serious training. We've just been sitting around all morning. Let's get working."
Both Abstract and Edge stared at her in shock. "What?"
"You heard me.
They exchanged glances.
"Alright then." Abstract stood. "Let's get too it.

"I'll go first. Both of you come at me." He backed up and crouched down, prepared.
Edge and Trillium look at each other, and then nodded. They both ran at him, paws out and feet ready to kick.
Rays of light shot out of his eyes, slamming into Edge and pitching Trillium to the floor.
"Oooooof." She groaned. "Can light be off limits?"
"I second that! Trill muttered.
Abstract rolled his eyes. "Fine. I'll use my.... Other thing." He grinned.
Grunting, both girls got up and off the ground and ran at him again.
He pulled out his paintbrush and began to paint in the air. One painting was a wall right in front of Edge, the other was a huge water mass in front of Trill.
"Where did this come from?" Edge whispered.
"WATER!" Trill dashed forward to slurp up the water, only to get a mouthful of sand.
The illusions faded, revealing Abstract.

Trill spit out the sand. She licked at her fur, trying to get the sand off.
"That was....."
"Cool?" She guessed, showing off her clean tongue happily.
Edge nodded. "Yes. Cool."
Abstract beamed. "Alright. Your turn Edge."
She nodded and walked a couple paces away.
Abstract and Trill nodded to each other and took off towards her. Both of them were the same speed, so it didn't take long to get to Edge and overwhelm her.
"GRAH!" She rolled away from them. "It's not like I'm going to face two opponents!"
"True." Trill took a step back. "You guys can train. I'm not entering."
Edge smiled. "Thanks." She looked at Abstract, as if scanning him for weaknesses.
He lunged. She sidestepped. He swiped. She dodged. He backed up. She aimed a blow to his face. He winced as her paw hit his face. She smiled. He lunged again and slammed into her chest.
(Short battling over)
"EEEEEEE!" Edge yelped as they rolled on the hot ground.
Abstract battered her stomach and gave a quick blow with his feet that send her skidding to the other side of the room.
Trillium raised an eyebrow. "Edge? You okay?"
Edge slowly got to her paws. "Yeah. I'm fine."
"Sorry." He muttered.

Trill and Edge glared at Abstract at the same time.
"Come on guys... It was an accident!" He smiled nervously.
Both tackled him. After a flash of claws, the two stepped away from him.
They had cut his hair precisley  into a triangle.
Abstract looked down at it. "A triangle......?"
The two girls just smiled like they knew something he didn't know. Which was probably true.

(Switching to Edge's point of view. It's all kind of been in Abstract's for awhile. Text will be in green.)
How dare Abstract! Hitting a girl. Jeez! What happened to manners, eh?
She was good friends with Abstract.... Most of the time. He was nice. Unlike some guys she knew. And, in truth, she could say they were a little more then good friends. But of course, she wouldn't say that out loud. Oh no, never out loud! Just in her own private thoughts could she say this.
There was something special about Abstract.... She just couldn't pinpoint it yet.

And so, the day continued without another pause. I shall now commence into: Descriptions of their battles! OOOz!! (Tournaments are staaaaaarting! NOOOOOOOO! I must complete 11 posts!)

Trill flung herself at Abstract, who quickly rolled away and got a good sized blow to her shoulder.
"ACK!" Trill tumbled head-over-heels.
He quickly got back to his feet prepared for another pounce.
But this time, Edge got him by surprise.
She pounced from the side, tackling the unaware Arkuhna.
"GRAH!" Abstract handled it pretty well. He threw her off with one kick of his feet.
Well, actually, his feet slammed into her stomach.
Edge was okay. Don't worry. Just got the wind knocked out of her.
She eventually got up and staggered into the shade of a spindly tree.

Trill lunged at Abstract again but he sent her flying with his light beams.
She managed to save herself by sticking onto one of the branches from the tree Edge was sitting under.
He ran at her, ready to pounce and bring her back to the ground.
She climbed higher and avoided his reach.
"Grrr...." He reared up on his hind legs and leaped. He clung onto her back as they tumbled too the ground.

Edge recovered eventually and decided to tackle Abstract again. She slammed into the side of him and he went sliding across the desert, Edge clinging on for dear life.
He kicked her in the chest and took a breather as she tumbled backwards.
Edge groaned in protest as she stood and looked at him.... Something new was about him. Something strange.... He hadn't even broke out in sweat yet.

Trill took him on again.
Abstract rammed into her as she reared up on her back legs. She fell backwards and he stepped away. He was literally jumping with exhilaration.
Trill pushed up on her back legs and sprung onto his back.
He thrashed and whirled around, trying his best to throw her off.
After a couple minutes of this, she rolled off.

Edge and Trill took a few turns, sparring with each other.

Edge slid under Trill and battered her stomach but all Trill had too do was step on her.
Thankfully, even with her slowness, she managed to roll out of the way and give a good blow to Trill's flank.
Trill scowled and pounced on her.
Abstract watched from the distance, smiling, and.... Actually enjoying himself. He had made two greats friends today and he didn't care how sore and tired he was.

Edge and Trill plopped themselves next to Abstract, panting.
"Have fun?" He asked.
"Are you kidding?" Trill hissed. "It's over a hundred degrees out here!"
"Yes." Edge responded but it was barely a whisper.
Abstract glared at her. "Then why'd you even come? I let you stay. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't even be considered for the tournament."
Trill clenched her jaw. Her anger reflected in her eyes. "If it wasn't for me, you'd be stuck here with her!" She gestured hastily to Edge.
"Hey!" Edge stood abruptly. "Stuck here with me? Am I some kind of pest?"
Great. Now all of them were angry.
