He sighed, pulling his bandanna away from his face and letting it fall around his neck. The morning was hot, and the temperature would only rise. The desert was a rough place to be assigned in the NCR, but he wanted to do his part. He sighed again, what he wouldn't give for a nuclear winter right now.
He looked over, his partner was snoozing softly next to him against a pole. He and nudged him, if he had to be awake then so was he.
"Hey man, wake up! Don't fucking fall asleep on me."

He snorted loudly, flinching slightly to the nudge.
"Huh, what?"
He looked around, running a hand over his bold and flaky head.
"I wasn't sleeping, just resting my eyes."
His voice was slightly muffled by the gas mask he constantly wore. The muffled voice sounded slightly harsh, like the vocal cords were damaged. He looked up to his partner with grey dull eyes hidden behind the gas masks goggles.

"Resting your eyes? Riiiiiiight." He growled, giving him a dirty look. "You were freakin' sleeping and you know it! It's bullshit man, us having to be out here for no reason."
He threw his hands to his sides in a tantrum way, he was so tired. Tired of being in the heat, tired of always standing around and never doing anything, and tired of being tired!
"I'm going to Sterlings tomorrow and telling him I want moved to a different shift. I want a good nights rest for once."
He crossed his arms, making an unpleasant expression on his face.
