[Sarah]

“Mentor you have visitors!” Jade called leading the two lucain into the house. “Did you get here alright? Do you need anything? Would you like rooms? Will you be staying long?” Jade berated them with questions as they headed towards her mentors study. Mus had been on a cleaning kick for a while and now most of the place was spotless. Jade was thankful for this, she wouldn’t want to have their visitors think they were a bunch ruffians. A few curious eyes peeked out from the shadows and around corners but no one came to greet the two lucain.

[Sarah]

“Mentor told me you would be coming but I didn’t think you would be here so soon.” Jade continued filling up the silence with her very preppy voice. “We don’t often get willing visitors down here. Where are you from? What are you doing in a place like this? You are all so quiet, are you some sort of secret agent agency? Is mentor in trouble?” Jade rambled on for a while annoyingly enough for the whole house, Scarlet wondered why the girl had waited until now to be annoying.

[Sarah]

“Shut up you damn little girl! It is absolutely none of your business why we are here.” Scarlet screamed feeling like pulling her hair out. “Yes please shut up.” Vella chimed in breaking out of her thoughts. Jade looked offended and a bit crest fallen. “Mentors study is just at the end of the hall.” Jade said curtly before flying away to sulk in a corner.

[Sarah]

“Thank the lord!” Scarlet said after the girl was gone. “That was worse than the time I got disassembled by Marids.” Vella laughed, it could not have been that bad, but it was pretty awful. “Let’s just hope that Mus is how she is described.” Vella said, they had reached the end of the hall and now Scarlet was knocking softly on the door. “Come in.” A small voice came from behind the thick door.

[Sarah]

Scarlet pushed it open her jaw dropped. Vella came in just behind her with E and her jaw dropped as well. It was a huge library filled with countless books and papers. “Oh! You’re here earlier than I expected.” Mus said pushing a few books aside. “Please sit.” She said inviting them to the couch. “It’ll only be a moment and then I will be with you.” Mus said smiling. Her words so soft the girls had to strain their ears to hear her.

[Sarah]

“You are Scarlet and Vella correct?” Mus said sitting down on another couch across from the angel and demon. Both of them nodded. “I apologies for my apprentice, she is a little much.” Mus said softly. “if you don’t mind my saying, you two are very different.” Vella said looking back at the door. Mus sighed and nodded. “yes, I think they sent her to me hoping I could calm her down. I doubt that will ever happen however.” Mus smiled a slight bit amused.

[Sarah]

“Yes, well should we get to it?” Scarlet asked moving in her seat a little. “Oh! Of course I’m so sorry, I got a little sidetracked.” Mus apologized siting up straight and business like. “It’s no problem really, Scarlet is just a little anxious.” Vella said trying to comfort the Herbalist. “ah, yes I could imagine, a demon having to be so close to an angel it must be hard.” Mus said “I could get another chair…” Mus was cut off by a sharp look from Scarlet.

[Sarah]

“No, I’m fine, there is no need for chairs, or anything else that could waste the time we already don’t have.” She said sharply. Mus nodded quickly. “She is a very protective demon.” Vella explained. “I can see that, you know it is forbidden?” Mus asked both Vella and Scarlet nodded. “But it doesn’t really work the same with fallen angels.” Vella explained. Mus nodded and shifted positions feeling a little awkward, "It is still forbidden, fallen or not." She reminded them.

[Sarah]

“So what questions do you have?” Mus asked. “I assume you are here to ask questions, at least that was what I was told.” She waited expectantly for the girls her yes studying each of them. Vella nodded “you were told correctly, we are here to ask some questions about corruption in heaven and angels or demons who can erase or plant memories into ones mind.” A shocked look swept over Mus’s face. She had not been expecting them to be so forward with it.

[Sarah]

“This is a touchy subject, as I am sure you are aware.” Mus said slowly. “I can of course answer your questions in part. However not much is known about either, and heaven hardly shares its records with us mortal beings.” the girls nodded, even they were hesitant to share with this woman. “but what from what I have found there is a small amount of information in various libraries. I have a few of the books and have been studying the information on and off for many years.” Mus picked up a book and opened it.

[Sarah]

“Somehow I knew you would be here for these reasons.” Mus studied the page looking for a specific line. “Ah, here it is.” Vella was very interested now, she hadn’t really been listening before and now she kind of wished she did. “right here it states that there is a legend of an angel who fell because of his corruption. It was a long time ago, and no one has ever seen him.” Mus laughed a little. “well, that was less help than I had originally thought. Sorry about that.” She set the book down. “I know of him.” Vella spoke up a strange look in her eyes.

[Sarah]

-For a blind angel she sure can show how she feels.- Scarlet thought waiting for Vella to explain herself. “It was a long time ago, but I remember being in training when a very loud boom sounded from the city. It was like a nuclear bomb had hit the skies.” Vella shuddered. “I don’t think anyone had felt such anger since demons where created. It was an all-out war after that, I don’t remember much from it, as a trainee I was taken into hiding. Later I remember hearing about an angel who had been spreading lies and had been rallying other angels to his side against the gods. It was a very challenging time for us.” Vella sighed, she could hardly remember the whole thing and what she did was fuzzy.

[Sarah]

“well, is there any hint on where we could find him?” Scarlet asked turning her attention back to mus. The woman shook her head, “no, the only thing it even hints at is that he lives in the mountains. That’s it, just that he might live in the mountains.” Mus shook her head “I’m sorry I don’t have more. But I do have information on your second question.” The girls looked at her, a little nervous to hear what the shaman had to say.

[Sarah]

“Some very powerful angels or demons gain access to other’s minds. Mostly they have access to mortals since we are easier to control. Every so often there is an angel strong enough to place or erase memories. Said immortal can’t control other demons or angels mind’s just plant ideas, or erase them. It is a very draining power and it is tricky to control. Even the most disciplined can screw it up.  Sometimes the memory isn’t completely erased or the mind’s thoughts get altered so that the information that is trying to be set gets skewed.” Mus picked up yet another book, but this time she only placed it on the shelf next to her.

[Sarah]

“I recommend you go to any mountains you can, and stay as far away from this person who is hunting you.” Mus said turning back to her cleaning. “How did you…” Vella began to ask but was cut short by Mus. “It is plain on both of your faces that you are being hunted. And I would assume it is the same person who erased himself out of your memories.” Mus dismissed both of them, but before they left the room she offered them a place to sleep and a recharge.
