[Sarah]

Happily Vella agreed though scarlet was not so sure they should be staying in one place for too long. “We would have to recharge eventually, so why don’t we do it here in the safety of the desert?” Vella said annoyed, she couldn’t see why Scarlet was so worried. “We have a huge magical ball surrounding us, It would take quite a bit for him to just get into the desert, let alone puncture this thing. He’s clever he already thinks a few steps ahead of us, and I doubt he is dumb enough to expose himself like this.” Vella reassured the demon what was still unhappy about the whole situation but no longer blamed it on the mortals who lived in this place.

[Sarah]

Scarlet went to find the room they would be staying in while Vella took the time to go back out into the garden. The lush grass was soft under her paw pads and she could have started crying if it wasn’t for the eyes watching her. It was a small dragon looking thing; it looked like a stone statue except its body moved in the rhythm of its breathing. Vella ignored it and walked down a random dirt path in the opposite direction from where they had come in. at least she hoped it was the opposite direction. She couldn’t really remember considering it all looked the same to her.

[Sarah]

Vella could feel where all of the magic was coming from. She could feel the large mana deposit down deep in the earth. It was not a natural deposit though; it was to perfectly shaped to be natural. Disgusted she walked on, trying to lose herself in the magical oasis. It worked the moment she came upon a small creek, it trickled lazily down to the small farm a small plank was used as a bridge to get over the trench it had carved. “Miss, I would recommend you stay in the house.”  Another girl was walking towards her, not the same annoying one as before but another with long green hair. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know.” Vella apologized turning around to walk back to the house, depressed that she wasn’t allowed to lose herself in the forest.

[Sarah]

Vella entered the house a little discouraged. She saw Scarlet sitting at a table stuffing her face with food. “Come one now, you don’t need any of that.” Vella scolded taking a seat next to the demon. Scarlet shoved the last of the food into her mouth and chewed. Her face so full of food she looked like a cartoon character, or at the very least a chipmunk.

[Sarah]

“I suppose this means we’ll be leaving for the nearest mountains in the morning.” Vella sighed wishing they had a map. “Yep, we’ll be headed north towards the Basantha Shrine.” Scarlet said looking around the small room for a map. “Isn’t that the holy Triumvirate shrine?” Vella asked tilting her head a little, not sounding excited at all. “It is, though admittedly it is not as exciting to me as you make it sound.” Scarlet teased, getting up from her place at the table to go study a bookshelf.

[Sarah]

-This place had tens of thousands of books or more and there isn’t a damn map to be found!- Scarlet thought still looking at the various books hoping to find something that could hint of a map inside. Shaking her head she sat down again. Yawning widely she laughed. “I think its bed time, come on, I’ll show you where are rooms are.” Scarlet said leading Vella away from the table and down a long hallway. “This is where all the rooms are, except Mus’s and the mage’s.” Scarlet explained, walking all the way to the end of the hall.

[Sarah]

“here we are.” She said opening a door. The room was average size, it had a separating wall right down the center. There was a bed on either side along with a dresser and a full length mirror. And two separate doors. “They lead to bathrooms.” Scarlet said pointing to the doors. “Not like we will need them, but it’s nice to know.” Vella said. “Which side do you want?” Scarlet asked, some angels where weird this way and could only be on a certain side of a room. Vella was no different. “left.” She said quickly trotting over to her bed. The sheets where clean and plush. The pillows looked to be filled with down.

[Sarah]

“Good night, we have a long search ahead of us.” Scarlet said taking her side of the room. She curled into the bed, the fluffy blankets wrapped around her. Even in the desert it was probably dropping below zero tonight. One would think that without hot a desert is during the day it would never be cool, but during the nights all of the heat left the sand to freeze. Scarlet couldn’t think of that scientists called it off of the top of her head. She knew there was a word for it though.

[Sarah]

“Time to wake up.” A soft voice called into the room. A blinding light filtered in from the opened window holes. Both girls got up and groggily looked around. Trying to get their bearings, Scarlet blinked a few times her eyes still fuzzy with sleep. E looked ready for the day and was excitedly flitting around Vella’s head. “Would you sit still?” Vella asked annoyed and instantly E stopped.

[Sarah]

“Who are you?” Vella asked looking at the person standing in the doorway. This girl was young she could tell, and she was also a half demon. She looked different, a little darker than most half demon teens. She looked like she had been through some rough times to say the least. Still Vella had no idea who this girl was. Therefore she had no idea whether to trust her or kill her.

[Sarah]

A grey and rainbow colored lucain stood in their doorway. Looking bizarrely pleased with herself. Vella felt out of the loop considering Scarlet was glaring at the girl. Vella had no idea who this girl was, -maybe she is one of Mus’s helpers.- Vella thought not having E take its eyes off of her. “Can we help you?” Scarlet growled finally.

[Sarah]

“Her name is rather complicated so you can call her Kat.” Scarlet growled fluffing herself up and stalking around the girl. “She is a very famous artifact smuggler in our realm, and protected by the same master as us.” She finished sitting down next to the girl. “Nice to see you to Scar.” The girl said smiling, and waved a hand at Vella. “Hello, I’m Kat. What’s your name?” She asked walking a little farther into the room.

[Sarah]

“It’s nice to see you still know your manners.” Scarlet growled. “Though just barely, if you weren’t protected by master I might have ripped you apart.” Vella could see it was hard for the girl to keep from laughing. For whatever crazy reason, this Kat was not afraid of Scarlet. That was interesting to Vella considering it didn’t seem like this girl had been around for very long.

[Sarah]

“Scar?” Vella asked tilting her head and smirking a little. “My name is Vella, It is nice to meet you.” She said smiling at the girl. Who so far seemed non-hostile and a little outgoing. The girls nodded, “its nice to meet you too, Scar has talked so much about you.” She said winking towards Scarlet, and giggled. Vella winced a little, but was extremely interested.

[Sarah]

Scarlet just glared at both of them. “She talked about me?” Vella asked a little shocked. Kat nodded enthusiastically, "I came under master’s protection a little while ago, after being threatened by an angel for no real reason. I met scarlet walking the grounds one day and we started talking. Well I started talking and she pretty much ignored me.” the girl laughed. -I wonder why?- Vella thought amused.
