"He didn't answer that day," Xyshari continued, motioning to Lana to follow after her as she followed after the shade of Loq. "I assumed because he was on official order business, and the order took issue with my departure because they saw it as me starting to stray down the dark path," she said, waiting for Lana.

"It is not darkness to work towards preserving your life if it is not yet time for you to rejoin the Force," Lana said, her face forming into a scowl. Xyshari offered a chuckle.

"Would you have the same opinion if it had been you I was hunting?" she asked.

"In retrospect, probably not," Lana said. They followed the shade of Loq into the canyon, and before long, both Xyshari and Loq stopped suddenly, looking around. While Loq's expression was more guarded and cautious, Xyshari's eyes were wild with fear and dread - emotions that were uncommon for her.

"My love?" Lana asked, and Xyshari shook her head.

"A dark presence approaching - not even trying to conceal its nature," Xyshari said. "I don't..."
