Whitetip runs along the desert with her pack following her.As she sniffs the air hopping for so prey, buy no prey.Her and her pack run farther along the desert in serch for some prey.

Bleached Gyrophant

Dawnhoof wandered around the sandy dunes of the Wilt'no Desert.  His companion had left an hour ago to get water, so Dawnhoof just went on a relaxing walk around the wavy dust.  He kind of liked the desert.  He was the biggest thing around.

whitetip raised her head and she saw dawnhoof. "mmm..... "
white tip called out to her pack and the started down a dune twards him.She lowwerd her head and creped twards him even more.She was licking her lips while drool driped down her cheek.

Dawnhoof felt something.  He didn't know what it was.  It could have been vibrations in the sand, it could have been a blur in his periferal vision, or it could have been a small sound, but something caused him to turn his head.  He then stared into the eyes of a vicious predator.  He could also see the rest of the pack behind it.  Dawnhoof extended himself to his full height and waited for Whitetip to make the first move.

whitetip ran twards dawnhoof but, bluebrow hezzitated and ran and leeped onto dawnhoofs back.Useing his claw he was trying to stay of but then blackthorn ran up jumped and bit bluebrows neck and pulled him off and they started to fight.

Realizing he was under attack, Dawnhoof reared up and slammed his front hooves into the sand, sending dust flying up in the air and lowering the visibilbility level to two feet.  Then he slashed his tail around to see if he'd hit anything.

the wall of dust was thick and it became very quite.*roaring sound* 'Whitetip jumped for Dawnhoof's neck to deliver a hard bite.

"Raaaaaaaar!"  Dawnhoof roared and slapped at Whitetip.  He then thrashed around tried to shake the gyrraptor off.

(OOC: Just a friendly tip.    Declaring the result of an attack [ie. hooked onto Dawnhoof's neck and bit down hard] is against the rules.  Say things like 'Whitetip jumped for Dawnhoof's neck to deliver a hard bite.   )

Furrez had been so excited to go on a desert adventure. She hadn't expected the heat to be so intense...right now, she was sheltered beneath Advent's belly, and large droplets of his sweat kept dripping down on her.

Suddenly, he broke into a run, nearly knocking her from her perch.

"Whaaaaa ishhhh ihhhht?" she called, knowing her voice must sound distorted. Advent stopped and lowered his head so that she could read his lips.

"It's an attack! A pack of Gyrraptors is attacking a defenseless Gyrophant! We have to help!" Without any further ado, he rushed on, flames already gathering around his mouth. As he neared the battlesite, he released them with a loud roar: "PYRO!"

When the other gyrophant sprayed the fire, Dawnhoof found time to back up and release a conflagration of his own.  Dawnhoof blew fire at the pack, moving his head around to spread the flame.  Then he moved over so that he was back to back with the other gyrophant, so they could watch each other's backs and get a 360 degree view of their opponents.

"I think they've gone," said Advent, looking around cautiously. "Let's get out of here before they come back with their friends." He stamped a hoof against the sands, watching a small puff of sand rise and fall, sticking to the sweat. Furrez, crouched beside him, was smiling.

"We dahd eet!" she cried happily, looking to both her friend and the other Gyrophant.

"Well, we'd better get going. It's sweltering here, and there are no more Gyrraptors," said Advent. He nudged his friend gently, and the two of them set off across the sands. However, he turned his head back to look at the other Gyrophant.

I hope we'll meet again, brother...

Advent and Furrez continued across the sands. Sand, sand, as far as the eye could see. After a while, Advent lowered his head towards Furrez.

"We're lost," he said apologetically.

"Dahn," was Furrez's reply. Just as he had wanted to say.
