With temperatures rising over 143°C (289.40°F) in most areas, the only relief is during the nights when it is much cooler. All travelers are advised to keep to the local towns on the desert's outskirts and avoid traveling too far from civilization. (+3 Endurance, +2 Defense)

Return to Wilt'no Desert

Postby Audra » 07/19/2008 7:55 PM

"Well nice to meet you Mille and Ky- Erm, OK, bye Stariana," Chel said, awed. Wow, Stariana sure did seem in a hurry. Oh well, Seychelles thought.

Audra then said to Ky, "Yeah, supposively there is...Would you guy like to come find it wih us?....Anyways, so what are you guys doing out here? Were you lost or did you just have the urge to trek through Wilt'no..?"

You see a colorful Canopy Gurador, rare in these parts, head hung high, and as he flitters past, you notice that he accidentally dropped a badge on the ground. It looks like such:

Obviously it must mean something, but the pet is then gone in a flash. Curious, isn't it??

Audra then said hurriedly.
"Oh no, I guess we must be on are way, too, for..erm..sentimental reasons and whatnot. Good-bye!" Audra then nudged Chel a bit, and she then bowed so she was in position. Audra hopped on her and they lifted off, flying away from the little town.

(OOC: Sorry, I had to go. I was waiting for it to be a little more active, but that's OK. Well, it was fun, anyways.)

Kinte watched as two pairs of wings left the little merchant town. He didn't seem to care what came or went, stopping here was his form of entertainment between running back and forth from town to town. He looked ahead and trotted to the nearest doorway, dissapearing within. After what seemed to be only a short while he reappeared with a large sack slung across his shoulders. It bulged with its unknown contents. Many locals stared at the pack in wonder.

My wraiths, though not wraiths then, wandered deep into the heart of the polar storm. They tried to fight sleep, naive to the inevitability of their fate. When they awoke, they saw before them my own self, so much a part of the ice and cold they almost fail to see me. I wear a crown of the coldest, sturdiest ice, and my claws and fur have coated themselves in it.
I stand aloof to the cold, for I have lived in it so long, been a part of it so long, it no longer concerns me.

My wraiths are cursed to wander the polar tundra, eternally freezing, following mortal explorers and trying to warn them with their presence that they should not travel onward, should not make the same mistake. But there will always be those who persist in pressing on, never knowing what they are doomed to face, or destined to suffer.

oot-- Sorry but this seems to have died. I shall be making my leave, have fun the rest of you.

Kinte trotted seemingly toward the group. Only when his tiny feet did not stop and he passed did anyone think otherwise. Laden with such a heavy bag, he no longer had the grace to run across the desert sands as he had come. Instead, he trudged, half-sinking with each step. Kinte opened his maw and panted, grinning as if his efforts were one big joke. It took him some time, but he eventually joined the horizon and did not appear again.

Millie wiped her brow, annoyed by the heat of the desert. With a grunt of anger, she grabbed Pooky by the collar of his shirt and dragged him off. The two walked down the street; Pooky being dragged, Millie doing the dragging. "Well need to find a ice cool place to rest. Those guys weren't much help,"she grumbled. Pooky shrugged,. a small smile on his face as he waved goodbye.

I love adventurous tales like that. That uplifting feeling that comes from seeing unknown lands and the knowledge that you came across—nothing can replace it! It opens a path from which self-confidence, experience, and important friendships—from the sharing of life or death situations—are born! But hearing it just isn’t the same. I want to create my own magnificent story!

A great adventure!

Millie stopped in front of a large inn, Pooky nearly colliding with her as she did so. with a small, cat-like grin, the Gyrophant woman bounced inside, nearly scaring the bartender half to death with how tall she was. Pooky followed along behind at a more respectable and comfortable pace. He hurried to the counter to pay for a few rooms. Millie was looking around with interest. As the Kuhna boy paid for their rooms, Millie started up the stairs, eager to find hers and take a long, cool nap.

Millie found her room with ease (after Pooky told her the number) and headed inside. The air conditioning felt cool against her face, and she sighed contentedly as she bounded onto the bed, eager to take a long, quiet nap. In a few moments, she was zonked out. Pooky found his own room in a similar fashion, and settled down for his own nap. In a few days, they'd head back home, but for now, it was time to rest.

(Both have left this RP)

((Eep, I'm so sorry, I couldn't keep up, and I just told myself 'Later' until I forgot, and now...>< Well, I'll just do two posts and leave))

Picking himself off the ground, Crest sighed. Something seemed...different. What happened? Ah yes, he shut down. Typical. Looking around, he noticed Liqite prodding a piece of metal on the ground. Then he gasped as he recognized it to be a piece of his shoulder. Hearing the sound, liqite's head snapped up and she grinned. "I fixed it. I didn't do as much damage as you thought, metal-brain." she said, laughing. He ignored the insult and glared at her. "Can I have my shoulder piece back?" he muttered, and grabbed it before the other yonyuu could react. Snapping it back into place, he looked around again. "Where'd everyone go?" he muttered.
You can pretend that when you hear my voice, darling, it's your choice not to fall in.

But it's all an act, 'cause I know exactly what you're wanting. You know it's what I'm wanting

Boy I know what you desire, oh, you're such a bad, bad liar

This could be perfection, or venom dripping in your mouth

Singing like a Siren, love me while your wrists are bound

Liqite smiled. "Oh, they're gone. Didn't bother to find out where. Oh well, I don't really care. I want to get out of here too. That shopkeeper still looks pretty mad, and I think he plans on doing something about it if we don't leave." she said, glancing over to the man sweeping the glass up from the broken window who occasionally glared at the yonyuus or swore loudly. Rolling her eyes, she shrugged. Crest nodded and stood. "Let's go then. I have no want of being in the desert any longer. I think I have sand in my joints." he ignored the laugh from his companion and walked away. Following close behind, Liquite couldn't stop laughing.

((They're gone~))

((I feel like such a bad person for abandoning my own RP X[ ))

Malik and Reina, seeing they were alone, looked at one another.

"Do you want to head back to Beatrice?" he asked. Reina paused, then nodded.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll make a good part of this family." he said, hoping to ease her fears. Thankfully she had grown more open since when he first met her.

"Yeah, let's get going." she said aloud.

Leaving the deserted street behind them, they made their way back to Beatrice and Sven ready to explain what happened to them while they were away.

((My last line was going to be 'And they walked into the sunset of friendship' just for the cheesy factor XD I did a quick run-through of the posts and I'm pretty sure everyone left, so you could label this RP as closed.))
