Zephion

Near the heart of the desert, a magnificent creature stood. Being a purite, it was odd for him to be there, but he knew that war was comming and the desert was full of poor creatures trying to train in the scorching heat. He looked around, and let the chill of his body cool the air around him. If only my friend Forestgem was here He thought. However, Gem was at home, most likely laying in the shade of the orchard and watching the little pets play.

Zeph looked around and snorted, not something he does often, while trying to figure out what the war was about. "Nevermind Symona, I'm obviously not doing anything by just standing here." he said, and he started to walk across the desert.

When he got to the other side, he recalled the anxious Taigra, Cloud, fretting and Forestgem trying to calm her. He knew that Cloud, as always, was worried about her sister, Raindrop. What he didn't know, he soon found out, for Gem saw him and called him over. "Zeph, Raindrop is going in the war and, as usual, Cloud is worried." she told him. "Oh I'm sure she's..." he started, but then his ears perked up and he wheeled around to face Gem again. "She...what...WAR!?" he said in surprise. After a minuite of Gem's explaining, he understood why the war was happening. How could he have forgotten?

Zeph sighed. I hate when I forget things like this. he thought. He looked up at the sun. "And I hate standing around in the broad daylight for no reason." he muttered. He shifted. "I guess I'll just lay here for a while then leave."

After 30 long minuites, Zeph stood. "It's more comfortable at home. I'm leaving." he said to himself. Then he started walking towards home...or rather the boat to home. (He lives on an island.)
