Why, I'd muchly enjoy your company, miss Yukiko. Shall we head off to complete those errands? I know a few places that are open after hours, just in case, but I think you'd all prefer to go to the regulars. Would I be correct in my assessment?

Temper temper Van! Perhaps a nice walk in the chill night air will cool your bubbling rage? The younger kuhna refused to dignify his spiel with any more responses, and instead began leading the way to one of the stores she imagined would be on the list for picking up goods. Quote trotted after her and took his place in the lead, ignoring the fact that she looked ready to rip him to shreds. She knew the way to the shops just as well as the flirt did, possibly even better. He is such a show-off!

Yukiko wasn't sure if Ryo was serious with her, but she decided to have an eye on her brother.
"Fine! After you!" she said fixing Ryo.

"Well then! Let's go....." he knew that Yukiko was fixing him, but now he had to bear with her. After all it was his idea to drag her along, but what else should he do? One way or another, they didn't have the slightest chance to get rid of Yukiko. She would stay, no matter what they say, and if he would try to shoo her away he would get into big trouble. Suddenly Ryo recognized that he hadn't the slightest idea where to go "Erm....guys.....where do we go now?"

Van turned around long enough to speak with her eyes. It was an angry "Well duh! Where do you think I'm going?" look, not exactly the most pleasant. She then turned and carried on her way. Quote let out a sigh and shook his head, a smirk on his face.

You'll have to excuse her; she does have quite the temper, no? Well, shall we follow? I don't think she's going to wait up for us. He let out a small chuckle and went ahead and began padding after her. He knew they'd follow; Ryo certainly didn't want to get chewed out by his sister. He could see that she wasn't exactly mellow. Poor Ryo.

Ryo saw Van’s angry sight and didn’t have the guts to say a word to her. As Quote talked to him, he tried to make a happy face and replied “Oh yes! Of course.....we should follow her.”

As they left the small alley and reached the town square Yukiko suddenly stopped.
“Okay guys! Seriously! You’re not going to run errands, are you? See, I’m not dumb, I know that something’s going on here!”

The words stuck in Ryo’s throat. What should he say now? Yukiko had figured out that they had planned something. Sure, Yukiko was the little rebel of the family and a daredevil, but would she understand his reasons? He coughed slightly.
“Erm......well.....I don't know what to say. You’re right! We are not going to run the errands. Not today.”

“HA! I knew it! What are you guys up to? Ryo, you know I never would betray you to our mistress! I just want to keep an eye on you!”

Ryo knew for sure that Yukiko wouldn’t betray him, and one part of him wanted to show Yukiko that he was going to change himself. He was sick of being the nice guy for everybody. He didn’t want to be mean or something like that, but he didn’t want to be the jumping jack for everybody anymore.

Van did not take kindly to excessively romantic things, such as Quote's flirting. In fact, she only liked romantic nonsense if it was so gradually done that she didn't notice. She thought it was gross, cooties and such. No, she had not grown out of such things; an odd thing, that. She turned around and glared at Yukiko. She had actually intended to properly run their errands, because, even though she enjoyed vandalism, she was a good girl, deep down. She bristled in annoyance. Somebody wasn't in a good mood. Quote, of course, ignored this; he was surprisingly good at that. Okay, not so surprisingly.

We were going clubbing. He purred. Oh, how he loved the clubs! So brilliantly artistic, in more ways than one could think of at the drop of a hat. He loved the flashing lights, the glowing paint splattered everywhere, and the dancing. Oh, the dancing! He liked that part best; the most straightforward, and accepted, form of flirting. Even Van enjoyed it. She didn't realize it was a subtly obvious come on, but that made it all the better. What you don't know won't hurt you, right?

„Clubbing you say?“ Yukiko smiled at Quote as he mentioned that „Sounds fun!“
She preferred to walk beside Quote while the group continued their way.

Ryo was getting nervous and of course he had noticed Van’s annoyed glare at his sister. He stepped up to Van, who was leading the group on their way. “I’m sorry…” he said low-voiced “I hope she’s not a pain in the ass for you! But if I would shoo her away I would get into big trouble.” he carefully looked back at Quote and Yukiko, to make sure they won’t hear him – but they were occupied with themselves.

He turned to Van again, still speaking low-voiced “Quote said, that we are going clubbing. But is it really THAT what YOU want?” Vans fur shimmered like velvet in the light of the rising moon, Ryo couldn’t avert his gaze. Secretly he hoped to get the chance of dancing with her. He wanted to know what her fur smelled like. But on the other hand he was afraid that Van and Yukiko could get into a fight. “What I mean is……..if you want to go elsewhere……I would accompany you!” he smiled shyly.

Quote acted as though nothing had happened, but he was grinning inwardly. Kind of like the cheshire cat but... Backwards? He decided they could have some idle chatter along the way, since there wasn't really anything else to do. Meanwhile, Van lashed a tail irately and shook her head.

No, she's not a pain. She muttered back. It's just- nothing. It's nothing, really. She gave him a glance after his final statement. No, that's fine; I like the club. It makes me feel free, you know? Her fur was still somewhat stiff, and her tails continued their subtl angry movements, but she was noticeably calmer now. It's kinda like... A home away from home, I guess, but better.

Ryo was delighted as he heard that his sister wasn't a pain for Van. He assumed the worst if it would have come to a fight between them. Now that this concern was solved he was afraid about this whole clubbing thing. He turned to Van again and mumbled "Erm....I feel a bit awful about it, but I can't dance!"

While Ryo and Van leaded the way, Yukiko was still walking by the side of Quote. "I hope I'm not too nosy, but may I ask you how you've met Van?"

It's fine. ^-^ We all get blocks from time to time.

Van was finally at a decent level of calmness once more. She let out a childish giggle as she slowly began to prance as she typically did.

Dark! She mewed. That's nothing to feel bad about; we can't all be dance masters. She looked back and gave him a mischievous wink. It's kinda like those bikes that people always talk about; they're hard to get used to at first, but once you've gotten past that, it never truly leaves you. Y'know?

Quote gave a shrug and a small smirk.

It's nothing special, really. We all met her the way we typically meet our associates; Madam - I'm sorry, the mistress - just brought 'er home one day, and she's been with us ever since. She attached to me pretty quick. I haven't the slightest clue why. He gave a humble shrug and shake of the head.

"I see!" he said and smiled. Ryo was really looking forward to learn how to dance. Who knows, maybe it turned out that he had a hidden talent.

They walked a few more minutes without saying a word as suddenly Yukiko charged forward and between them. "Hey hey! Is that the club?" she said and pointed at a glamorous illuminated building not far from them, that was built up on a hill.
"Hey Sis..." Ryo said slightly irritated "You almost scared me to death!" but then he looked up to the building. It was colorful illuminated and a huge spotlight projected its light into the night sky.
"Wow...."

Van didn't even stick around to see their responses. She sped up and sprung into line, with quote following a few seconds behind. He paused and looked back at the other two kuhna.

Sir? Madam? He gestured for the two to go ahead of him, and followed the watery kuhna behind Van. There was a suspicious-looking bucket next to the guard - some sort of kirund covered in fluorescent paint that was bopping his head to the beat.

'Ey Van, how's it goin? He gave her a wicked grin, which she daintily returned.

Things're good man! You?

It'd be better if I was in there too, but what can ya do? He gave a shrug.

I feel for ya man. She shook her head and handed him enough keystones for the four of them and, despite rational logic, shoved her paw into the bucket. She quickly pulled it back, splattering a neon orange substance upon herself. She turned back and grinned at Ryo, revealing that she had some of the paint on her teeth as well. She then pranced into the club, adding her own messy trail of prints to the messy - but awesome-looking - floor. Quote followed suit after the siblings had headed in, but in a neater, more gentlemanly manner. He ended up heading into the club with his signature marks; quotation marks around each of his eyes and vivid tips such as his paws, tails, ears, etc.

It's go time!

Yukiko overtook her brother and followed Van inside but first she wanted to make some fun at Ryo. She saw the bucket standing next to the entrance and noticed that Van had shoved her paw into it. Yukiko also shoved her paw into the bucket, after pulling it out of the bucket she immediately pressed her paw into Ryo's face. She almost collapsed with laughter as she saw the baffled expression on his face.

"What the....." he touched his face and then looked at his paw, it was glowing orange. "Yukiko!" he said a bit angry "thank you very much!" and passed his sister and entered the club right after Van. Inside the club the paint in his face glowed much more because of the black light, but every try to wipe the paint off his face was futile.

Yukiko entered the club shortly after her brother. She was still laughing and grabbed her belly as it began to hurt from all the laughter. She put one arm around his shoulders "Don't be a poor sport! You look funny!"

He sighed.

Van stopped when she heard the hydrokuhna chatting, and looked back to see Ryo with a glowing orange front. Apparently, he'd attempted to wipe off the paint, but ended up spreading it around instead. Not that Van was sharp enough to figure that out. She grinned and padded over to him, glowing very brightly from all the splatters that she'd gotten from herself.

Dude! She yelled over the insanely loud electronica blaring overhead. That looks wicked! Quote walked past them, shaking his head at their insanity. He headed straight for the bar, ready to woo any femmes he could. Which would be most of them, but that's not the point.

Van held her literally glowing grin as she turned away from the siblings to melt into the pulsating crowd, more than ready to become part of that pulse. As she rubbed against just about everyone - and thing - around her, she gained more and more color. A green here, a pink there, a little yellow up her nose. She was beginning to look like a neon rainbow. And while she danced, Quote flirted with all those high-off-of-fun-and-other-things gals that were extra-susceptable, the jerk.

Ryo did it like Quote and headed for the bar, placing himself onto one of the bar stools he waved the bartender nearer to him and Quote. "I'd like to have a lemonade please!" he said, trying to drown the music. The bartender looked weird at Ryo, but before he could say something Yukiko popped up between Quote and her brother, telling the bartender "He misspoke himself! He wanted to order a double Jack!" and smiled at her brother. She also ordered a bottle Tequila, four shot glasses, salt and a bowlful lemons.

Before Ryo could complain she thrusted the glass with the double Jack in his hand. "Just relax little brother! This is going to be an awesome night and you will never forget it!" Then she poured the Tequila into the shot glasses and handed out the salt and the lemons. "To your health!" Yukiko said before she licked the salt from her hand and downed the drink. She pulled a funny face as she sucked on the lemon.

Ryo turned around with his back leaning against the bar, sipping on the Jack. At first the taste was awful, but he didn't want to show any weakness, so he sipped again and again. After a few swigs the drink began to taste. He was looking for Van on the dance floor. Ryo just sat there and watched her dancing.

Suddenly Yukiko called out to Van "Hey Missy! Wanna have a shot?" and held up the bottle of Tequila. "This round you will take part!" she said to her brother with a big fat grin on her face.

Van was quite caught up in the dancing, but she distantly recognized Yukiko's voice. She turned and looked at the others gathered 'round the bar, her eyes glazed from heavens-knows-what. Her loud, drawn-out Woooo! tuned out Quote's snarl as she pumped her fist - paw-fist? - into the air. There was a massive wave, with the rest of the dancing crowd cheering from her to the edge of the group. An interesting phenomenon, Find might say. This wave also caused an aftershock; the dancing heated up, the tired dancers being rejuvenated by some sort of bizarre rave magic.

Quote completely disregarded his current lady-friend to glare at Yukiko. How dare she offer Van, his charge, a drink! Sure, he wasn't exactly being a good role-model, but she knew not to follow in his footsteps. On the other hand, Yukiko was a girl, probably older than the Nuvuldan, and thus someone she might actually listen to! As he bristled at his watery companion, the girl he'd been flirting with became offended after he ignored her prods and rubs and left - presumably to find someone else to rub.

Speaking of young, irresponsible females, Van stumbled over to the bar and sprung up between Ryo and her babysitter, waving the bartender over. Fizz water. She panted, receiving an odd look. Newbie. Before they had a chance to ask, a biolune - or maybe just a splattered void - ferrikoon flitted over, bottle of carbonated water in hand.

Sorry 'bout him, little miss. He just started last week.

'S okay. She waved it off, choosing to chug the fizzy water - hence the nickname - instead of wasting her breath on chatting. Quote was very on edge, since someone was probably going to offer her something. As gentlemanly as he was, he wouldn't stand for anyone slipping things to his - oh he hated to admit this to himself - little sister figure. He glared at Yukiko, daring her to offer the glowing kuhna something. Anything. Even a lemon. Wow, what had he had?
