Keeki wailed from inside her 'safe' place, she scrabbled at the crate above her trying to get to Demeter, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't move the heavy top crate.

Seishin picked himself of off the ground, his side felt slightly bruised from the fall, but he didn't care, it was Demeter he was worried about now. He turned to the Doctor, "We have to do something, we can't run anywhere and we can't attack the thing! How are we supposed to defeat it?!" his voice was full of desperation he didn't even know why he was asking Ptolemy these questions, Ptolemy probably had as much of a clue as he did. Seishin glanced around them, keeping an eye on the beast as he did so, the few men who were still standing were keeping their distance from the beast and forming a loose secondary barrier inside the magical one. Looking back at Ptolemy Seishin said to him "Try to distract it, I need to help Demeter" he quickly morphed into his human form and pulling his first aid kit, that he carried everywhere with him, out of his pocket he began moving towards Demeter and the beast.

The creature pinning Demeter moaned and gripped harder, she coughed in response, blood was in her cough. She fell limp, not dead, but unconscious. However a green strand of aura almost unseen swirled out of her body and into the crate hiding Keeki.

"Keeki...." the strand seemed to whisper...."If you want to help Demeter, become her knight by grabbing this strand of your own free will."

Ptolemy was doing his best to distract the creature, to little or no avail, he didn't even see what was happening with the small furry creature in the crate.

Seishin knelt by Demeter's head, keeping as much attention as he could on what was happening with the Beast whilst he checked Demeters' pulse and started cleaning her up and attending to her wounds. He was too busy to pay much attention to Keeki beyond making sure the beast wasn't attacking her.

Inside her crate Keeki shuffled away from the strange green strand, she peered suspiciously at it, several moments went by in which she did nothing but stare at the strand nervously. Finally she gathered her courage, she had to help her new friend and this strand seemed to promise her a way in which to do it. She had no idea what would happen if she grabbed it, but it couldn't be worse than what was happening to her friends right now. Slowly she reached a paw out and delicately curled her toes around the strand. Trembling slightly she waited to see what would happen.

The green strand wrapped around Keeki's body attempting to change the very makeup of her being. The energy flowing into her was vibrant and alive, moving through her like a tide. A voice whispered in Keeki's head, it was not the voice of Demeter, it was softer, more melodic, and even though it only spoke, it sounded like it was singing.
"Keeki..." the voice said softly,"You are now my knight, a portion of my power is yours. How that power presents itself is dependent on your body, mind, and soul. Please determine the nature of your new power...and save Demeter."

Ptolemy attempted to distract the monster more, but was commended with another slap into a wall.
