Kaiya stared mystified as Valentine trotted away. Should she follow, or was the Dalma trying to get away from her? She mumbled quietly, and then shot forward with sudden energy. She hopped over the Dalma with ease, and then screeched to a stop. "So, wait, where do you live if you just came here? Are you staying for long? I live just around the corner with one more Sahound... an Imperial... and, as usual, he DESPISES me..." She scratched her ear with her paw.

Hard as hard as it can be
Holding on to what we believe
Accepting fact and realities
In the darkness of our soul
Strength is what we need
Hard to receive or to hold on
Waiting to disappear
In the ocean of your dreams
No matter how hard we try
It will always hunt us
You'll know that your dream is over
And your strength you will take with you
Achieving what you want and living free forever

Shocked by the sahound's sudden leap, Valentine crouched low and tucked her tails between her legs. She recovered after Kaiya turned to face her. And instantly started talking.
"I live in the Meadow, as we call it. A meadow, obviously, where alot of creatures seem to gather. I think its closer to Roraldi Forests than here though. I'm only one. We live peacefully for the most part, though there are a few bad apples we haveta deal with." The Dalma said, answering the sahound's question. "And what makes the one you live with hate you? Ooh! Can I meet him?"
You may call, you may call
But the little black cats won't hear you.
The little black cats are maddened
By the bright green light of the moon;
They are whirling and running and hiding,
They are wild who were once so confiding,
They are crazed when the moon is riding
You will not catch the kittens soon.
They care not for saucers of milk,
They think not of pillows of silk;
Your softest, crooningest call
Is less than the buzzing of flies.
They are seeing more than you see,
They are hearing more than you hear,
And out of the darkness they peer.
With a goblin light in their eyes!

After the Dalma stopped talking, Kaiya looked up. "Uuuh... Dane doesn't like company... but I guess you could kinda meet him??? And sorry for scaring you..." Kaiya glanced in the direction of her home. "Actually, I'm just staying there for about a week. I'm FINALLY escaping the city... I've been invited to a valley..." she stopped short, glaring at something right above Valentine's head. "Don't... move..."

"A Valley?" Valentine asked, half to herself. "Sounds cool! That would be fun. But Citty wouldn't let us settle there. She has some say 'cause her friend Flame is kinda our leader, and she absolutly hates mountains. She prefu--- Wait what?"
As soon as someone says don't move, the average first reaction is to swing your head quickly to see why. The Dalma was no exception.

"NET GUUUUUY!" Kaiya yelped, as a dog catcher hovered above them. She barked loudly, and then yanked on Valentine's bow, "Mmmph, COME ON!" she yelled, dragging the puppy along the sidewalk with her. She ran toward her home, crossing the street, when suddenly a car screeched to a halt right in front of her. (Short!)

Valentine didn't even bother running. Since when were their pounds in Evelon anyways? Animals always freely ran everywhich way. Dogs included. And Kaiya wasn't technically a type of normally demestic dog like Valenine was. And surely her bow, kept all clean and pretty like the rest of her short, silky fur, would give away that she did have a home.
So instead she growled at him. She didn't normally growl, but someone was threatening her, and her friend, and that was not OK. Someone who shouldn't even exist as far as the old puppy knew. And she knew more than she let on.

"Uh, Valentine, why aren't you running from net guy? Oh, darn, I'm going blind, that man doesn't have a net! He's got.. what is that?" Kaiya's ears twitched. The mysterious man held an unusual object, that could be a weapon! Kaiya didn't know what it was though, and she hopped around noisily trying to draw attention, when the boy she had shocked before ran up, yelling at the man.

Valentine's ears perked as the sahound spoke. Darn! The dog was right! That was no net. The Dalma hadn't even tried to look. She just turned and snarled. Why look when you know what something is? Well, appearantly she didn't.
But the Dalma saw how Kaiya could've been mistaken. It seemed like a raquet of some sort.
The boy from before started yelling at the man and Valentine walked out of the way. Though she could communicate with humans, human to human communication was normally much more valued to the average man and would turn his heart much further for some reason. And she was too busy being happy that the boy had come through.

((XD EPIC plot save. In the sleepless state I'm in, that could not've been done. I don't know why I never realised you were such a good writer. ^.^))

Kaiya listened but couldn't decipher what the young boy was saying. He was screaming at the top of his lungs, and she darted away, hoping the Dalma was trailing. She turned around a corner and stopped, pressing against the cold brick wall. Was valentine coming?

Glancing away from the scene between the human males, Valentine just barely glimpsed Kaiya's tail dissappearing. Turning on her hind feet, the Dalma bounded after her friend. She was happy to get away from fights, never really liking any of them. Some claimed her too much of a pasifist, but she would fight if she had to.
Catching up to her friend, she opened her mouth, speaking between hard pants, "We'll meet your friend now?"

"He may be just slightly more kind then that man..." Kaiya breathed heavily. She stood up from her comfortable sitting position, pulling herself to run around one more corner, which then opened up into a park. She slowed to a walk, waiting for the Dalma. "Welcome home." she sighed, trotting over to a small ditch. She crawled into a sewer pipe, "Don't worry! It's just a hidden entrance!" She scrambled up, then twisted to view a large underground room that resembled a small meadow with dirt clumps covering the ground. An imperial Sahound sat on his hind legs, messing with a bone on the ground. "Eh, would ya stop bringing mutts into my house then?" he grumbled, rolling his eyes and walking toward a tunnel. "Oh, come on Dane!" kaiya sighed. She turned to Valentine, "Welcome to my unique home with rude  Sahounds!" she called the last part loudly for Dane to hear.

((Warning. Don't say my character's reactions, for you don't know what they will be. Act out your characters. Leave others to their rightful RPer's. TECNICALLY thats against the rules and you can get into alot of trouble, but as a newbie at this, I'll just tell you to watch out.))
Valentine followed Kaiya, tails wagging the whole way. Down the sewer pipe, into the meadow. It was like a whole hidden world in the city, that no one but old mutts and strays seemed to know about. It excited her And made her a little giddy that now she was aloud to know of it's secrets.
Then the other hound commented on her, and she had to retort. "I'm a Purebred Dalma, for your information." She said, sticking out her tongue. It was a futile attempt to be bratty on the Dalma's part, as canine's always had their tongues out in some way or another some would say, but she did it none the less.
But her attitude turned to giggles as Kaiya welcomed her to the area.

((SORRY, i fixed it!))
Kaiya led valentine down the small hill, and ran right into Dane who had just come out of his room. Dane snarled, "So you're a purebred? They pay good money for them..." "Dane, go away, she really wanted to meet you, and now you're just insulting her!" She turned and stalked away from Dane, hoping that Valentine was following her. She lifted her legs high, and pulled her ears back, walking toward a tunnel to the right. After she disappeared around the corner, she walked normally, glancing behind her to see if Valentine was coming. Her room was simple, a small dog bed,  food and water in one corner, and bones scattering the floor. "I soooo can't wait until I go to the meadow!" she mumbled to Valentine.

Though she acted insulted, Valentine wagged her tail, giving a joking snarl. She was sure this guy had a reason why he was a jerk. That wouldn't make it ok, but it would make her understand. It was hard to make her dislike someone. They'd have to actually threaten her or someone close to her, and not an empty threat at that. So despite his horrible attitude, Valentine liked this other sahound.
Valentine watched Kaiya trot away and turned to follow, flicking one of her tails in a temporary farewell to the imperial.

Kaiya hummed the tune that'd been stuck in her head all day as she trotted around, showing off her things. Her favorite object was a huge rawhide bone that was filled with moist chicken. She licked her lips just thinking about it and turned to Valentine. "Umm... well, welcome, not much but I survive. It isn't enough, however, for Dane." she sneered. She bounced around, tackling everything in sight, and then turned to valentine. "You really want to live in the city with fake grass and noisy streets instead of the peaceful countryside?"
