Kaiya rolled playfully out the bedroom tunnel and shot up to the sewer pipe where Lanna the plush Rattegan stood pacing impatiently. "Hey Lanna what's up?" she had barely finished her senrence when the rattegan burst into tears, crying loudly and wailing unfathomable words. "uhhhh, Lanna are you okay? I mean..." Kaiya whimpered in surprise as the Rattegan hurled herself at the Sahound. (Sorry 11:30 tired and on an ipod touch)

Hard as hard as it can be
Holding on to what we believe
Accepting fact and realities
In the darkness of our soul
Strength is what we need
Hard to receive or to hold on
Waiting to disappear
In the ocean of your dreams
No matter how hard we try
It will always hunt us
You'll know that your dream is over
And your strength you will take with you
Achieving what you want and living free forever

The Dalma followed the sahound out of the makeshift home, though not nearly as quickly as the other canine went. When she got to the surface, she was just intime to see the wailing rattegan fling herself at the shound. "Kaiya...?" Valentine started, steping closer and talking in a whisper, "Who is that? Is she ok?"
You may call, you may call
But the little black cats won't hear you.
The little black cats are maddened
By the bright green light of the moon;
They are whirling and running and hiding,
They are wild who were once so confiding,
They are crazed when the moon is riding
You will not catch the kittens soon.
They care not for saucers of milk,
They think not of pillows of silk;
Your softest, crooningest call
Is less than the buzzing of flies.
They are seeing more than you see,
They are hearing more than you hear,
And out of the darkness they peer.
With a goblin light in their eyes!

Kaiya growled vigorously, pinning the Rattegan to the ground. "Lanna, what is your problem?" Kaiya growled, wagging her tail in surprise. "She's just having one of those days..." she answered Valentine, who had walked up behind her, asking her a question. "So what is it this time, Lanna?" Kaiya sighed, turning back to the squirming Rattegan. Lanna sighed, "A boy! I like him, and I think he likes me, but I'm not sure, and I have no idea what to do, Kaiya help me!" Kaiya jumped off Lanna. Lanna scurried in front of Kaiya. "Hey, who's your friend? She have any advice on... boys?" she smirked.

Valentine listned to the rattegan's problem. She was confused about the whole ordeal, but tried not to show it. Stuck as a pup, both physically and mentally, she didn't have these problems. Sure she gained knowledge and possibly even wisdom, but not matureity. So it never sparked in her mind to have such interest in boys, further than thinking about them as just more friends. She'd yet to even have a school girl crush.
So it surprised her when the rat asked her if she had any advice on boys. Didn't she look like a young pup? So instead she just blurted out, "Why the heck do people let these things get so complicated and confusing? Its sooo simple." Either they had cooties or you could just go talk to them, right?

"Simple? SIMPLE?" Kaiya watched as Lanna reacted to Valentine's comment. Lanna flung herself into another rampage. "Who asked you anyway? I mean, a puppy doesn't know anything about guys!" she yelled. Kaiya rolled her eyes, and walked away from the Rattegan. "C'mon Valentine, she won't notice we're gone until after her speech. 'Sides, there's another way out."

Valentine stared at the odd rat with confusion. Wasn't it this rattegan herself who had asked the pup? She was just simply curious, since this older creature understood something the canine didn't. Kaiya's words snapped her out of this, and she trotted behind the sahound silently.

"Sorry about that, she's a bit psychotic. Ummm, oh, here it is!" Kaiya poked her paw into a circular hole dug into the moist dirt surroundings. There was a loud moaning sound, and a small door to the left revealed blinding sunlight, filtering through trees in the park. Kids were sitting on swings, but one child in particular made Kaiya freeze. He had brown hair and piercing green eyes. "Ah... let's go the other way!" Kaiya barked quietly. A blue strand of electricity shot off her back as she whipped around, and scampered toward the city.

"Oh, theres always people like that." Valentine answered to Kaiya's apology. She was still confused about the rodent's reaction, but it was best to drop it.
Kaiya opened the door, and Valentine saw the playground. So many kids! So much fun! The puppy almost darted out, but saw an odd look on her friend's face. Worry? Fear? They were going the other way. Valentine turned to follow her friend. "You alright?"

"Ummm, yeah... let's just keep going, PLEASE!" Kaiya glanced behind her and saw the boy following her with a quizzical look. She yelped and pushed her feet against the ground harder, lunging into a nearby sewer pipe escaping the outside world. "Okay Valentine, here's where our tour starts!" she panted like nothing had happened. The murky water from last nights rain puddled at the bottom of the metal ridges, and Kaiya tried and failed at dodging them on her way back into the darker interior.

Valentine matched Kaiya's quick pace, but glanced back at the boy in confusion until he left their veiw. Did Kaiya know this boy? Who was he? He looked nice enough...
She had looked back again out of instinct and momentary paranoia when the shound had stopped. The only thing the alerted the Dalma of the change was when she ran into her friend's tail. "Oh! Sorry!" She yelped.
Now the tour would start? Valentine was still quite confused about the boy, but a tour would be a nice change to the massive onslaught of confusing events, the Dalma supposed.

kaiya jumped over some small puddles, and ignored a hungry looking rattegan who stared oddly at the girls as they eased past. When Kaiya appeared on the other side of the tunnel, she emerged where the two had first met. For a little bit Kaiya rolled about showing Valentine where all her neighbors dwelled, occasionally glancing over her shoulder in paranoia. When Kaiya ended up at a nearby apartment building, she sniffed the air and her eyes grew. "he followed us!" she yelped, trying to drag the young dalma behind her as she ran for shelter.

The Dalma was too confused to resist being dragged off, and instead was more help to get the two into shelter than a hinder. "Who followed us?"
She hadn't liked the paranoid looks Kaiya had been taking around, and it all seemed to ruin the mood of the light-hearted outing. But people were confusing. She had just happened to meet one of the worst.

"No... that was just... never mind, I mean, you probably think I'm a freak and totally insane. I probably am, but the weird thing is when your weird you don't notice. It's actually kind of hilarious in a depressing sorta way, I guess. Sorry, I'm doing it again." Kaiya babbled. She hid in the shadows, her eyes darting toward the light outside. "Mmm..." She whimpered, sinking back farther into the tunnel. A pair of jeans raced past the entryway, and then disappeard. I am SO sorry, Valentine, but we might have to cut our tour short... again." Kaiya flicked her tail nervously, and suspiciously tip-toed out of the tunnel, turning the corner and hoping the Dalma was following her.

The sahound kept blabbering and blabbering. Valentine quickly lost her, getting only that she was crazy and paranoid. That was nothing new. She was one hundred percent lost. And it really didn't help when Kaiya just up and ran after blabbering somethinga bout the tour being cut short. Not knowing what else to do, the pup followed.

Kaiya turned around, making sure the Dalma was following her. She stopped, and started another nearly endless speech. When it finally concluded, she panted, turned back around, and headed back toward her home. "His name is Rickie. That is all I can tell you." Kaiya said in a monotone voice. It was almost creepy the way she said it. She flicked her tails, and then was back in a hyper state. "I really am sorry about the tour... again. I guess you'll have to do it another time..."
