Many people of all different backgrounds, looks, and shapes and sizes filled the streets of
Aldrect this day. Being such a place, and being so small at that, it was a chore just to make it 3 steps forward without being trampled into the pavement! Weaving carefully, yet quickly, through the sea of legs, a shimmering silver Kuhna padded along with a small faintly green kit sticking close to him.

"Stay close, Nuala." the new father warned his baby girl. The tiny kit, just old enough to begin showing the beautiful markings of her Minty species, smiled at her father and giggled playfully. "I will, Daddy!"
A few more dodging steps and some quick turns and sign-reading later and the father-daughter pair finally made it to their destination, the beautifully crafted marble fountain that stood so elegantly in the center of the city. Not only was it the main thing they had hoped to see here, but it was also the meeting point for them. Today they, meaning Silva, Mirabella, and their two kits, had decided to get out and about and do a little sightseeing. Silva and Nuala walked over to the fountain and claimed a seat on a small bench nearby. He looked up at the fountain in awe, his eyes glistening with excitement as he watched the shimmering waters fall. He fought the urge to flatout jump in and swim around if only to set a good example for Nuala.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Nuala, who had been happily chasing a small roley-poley on the ground, quickly turned around and looked up at the fountain. She tilted her head as she smiled, quite empty-mindedly and laughed. "Yeah!" She ran up and fought her way up onto a small ledge on the side and stared into the water. She giggled at her wavy reflection and began pawing at it. "Ah - uh, Nuala ... be careful!" he moved behind her, ready to catch her should she fall. 'I never thought being a father would be so ... worrisome!'
He placed a paw on her back to help steady her before he turned to scan for a familiar face. "I wonder where your mother is?" he sighed, hoping she hadn't gotten herself lost in such a huge city.
