Atlast the small ding told her that the elevator had arrived. The female kuhna wasn't one for emotional outbursts. Though she could have sung at the arrival of that lift. She sighed in exasperated relief. Finally!

The lights flickered on and off in the elevator she now found herself in. She had to get the fault one. Especailly after she'd waited an age for it. Now it was going to take an age to get to the bottom floor. Just her luck.

Frederick mentally sighed. This was no good at all. He lay upside down handing of the arm of a leather chesterfield sofa. It was emerald green in colour. He sat in the huge family library.  Of the massive family home ocourse.

Grey light flooded in from a sky light on the huge domed roof. It was a huge country house. It sat just on the outside of Adelect. The library was huge. Leather bound books clung to every avalible space.

There were huge, long ladders reaching up right to the roof of the place. So many books. They filled the massive room they were in. Some had spilled fourth of the shelves an ended up stacked in piles. Others were squished on where there was any space at all on the lower shelves.

Frederick must have looked very undignified. Though the butler didn't say anything. He just got on with what ever he was doing. Thinkng it best to leave to boy alone.

Frederick, like Emeline was very bored. He was a little bit sad too. He was very nervous about his relationship with the arkuhna. He didn't want to never see her again.

Emeline often sat like this when she couldn't concentrate. Frederick had attempted to do the same thing. It wasn't helping in the least. He'd just remained bored. Not to mention a tad uncomfortable.

Books upon books had been thrown aside. Casualties in Fredericks war against boredum. Classics could be picked up from amoung the paper-filled floor. Modern romances to sci-fi. It seemed as if he'd tried many a genre of book to fight the boredum today.

Half written letters. Unsent emails. Even texts saves as drafts. All means of comunication were ceased. Nothing he was writing/typing/texting had came out right.

Screwded up paper joined the books. Spilling out of waste paper baskets. It cluttered the floor. There was no hiding from the fact the library was a complete mess. The cleaners woul have their work cut out for them today.

After a moment he fell over. Crashing into the mounds of paper and books. Freerick shook his head and got up. Casting an eye at the time.

Still that early? Frederick was amazed at how time had managed to slow itself to a snails pace this afternoon. He streched out slowly. Lying upside down on the arm of a sofa idd nothing for your back. What a drag today was.

Several moments deliberation later Frederick was running through several rooms in the house looking for his umbrella. Unlike Emeline he knew it was working. Just where was it? That was the question.

It was a huge grand house. A pain to search through when you'd lost something. The best answer was to look in the most obvious places. The more unusual could wait.
