Tokini blinked. She considered it, then nodded.

"Sure."

What was the harm in a movie, she reasoned? Alyn wasn't dangerous, anyways. She wasn't dangerous to her, at least.

Alyn smiled. Could she be any more foolish?

But she didn't intend to hurt her. So, she guessed, it was alright. They would be just fine.

Tokini smiled, following Alyn to the restaurant. They sat, ordering drinks and food. She looked at Alyn.

"Am I in danger?" she asked, calmly. It wasn't too bad, of course, if she was. She could run.

"No moreso than usual," Alyn said. She leaned back, watching the girl across from her.

It was mostly true. After all, Tokini was often with her or near her. It was even mostly true now.

Tokini smiled a bit. "Really, now," she said. "What are you wearing to the party tonight?"

She had to ask. She had to get Alyn to come. The girl needed more socialization.

"Nothing," Alyn said, sharply. "I'm not going." She knew she sounded frustrated, angry. But wasn't it justified? No one had done anything to make her feel invited, and she said as much: "I doubt I'm invited."

She looked away, trying to conceal her hurt at that fact.

Tokini stared. "Of course you're invited! I'm inviting you!" she said. "Alyn, you really ought to come, it'll be loads of fun."

She smiled at her imploringly. "C'mon, Alyn. Please?"

Alyn looked sidelong at her. She did want to go, she could admit that. But she didn't want to go if she wasn't wanted. And then there was the matter of Renee...

"I can't. I have to stay with Renee and keep her company. None of you will." Renee was the first person in the pen that had learned what she was. The girl hadn't run away, even. She was her true friend,really.

Tokini blinked. She hadn't expected Alyn to deny her for such a real reason, but she respected her for it. She considered it. "She could come, too, you know."

She had assumed that someone had invited Renee, truly. The girl was nice, a little odd, perhaps, but nice all the same. She meant her invitation - she wanted both of the girls to come.

Alyn watched, warily, then decided to trust Tokini. "Well, then. I guess, if she wants to come, I will, too."

The "if" was really not much of an "if" at all, though - Renee would want to come. Of course she would. The girl loved to socialize, if others would let her. And Tokini was going to let her. Alyn would come, then, too - Renee needed protecting, she thought.

Finishing their meal, Tokini smiled. "Well, come on then! Let's go ask Renee, then get you two ready!"
