King was beginning to appreciate the fact that this man maintained a sense of humour regardless of his own circumstance and condition. He had never heard of anyone who could flirt in a situation like this, seriously intended or not.

"I thought I would just skip ahead to the part where I take you back to my place," he found himself answering in his usual suave manner, a smirk in his voice. It was incredibly unusual that he would speak without thinking but the response felt natural; a feeling normally reserved for the other members of the Deck. He didn't even seem to realize he'd done it.

They'd only made it two blocks before Roscoe decided he couldn't stay up anymore. King much preferred the idea of just getting back before cops and firemen swarmed the area, even if he had to carry the man the rest of the way. Meeting places were intentionally planned to be near or far at random. This one happened to be within walking distance. He paused a moment to look Roscoe over, considering his options.

Looking back, he noticed a faint orange glow of fire in the direction of the warehouse. First responders would be passing any moment, and him carrying someone too close to the scene would attract attention. With a sigh, he turned them both down the next street. A bench ahead was tucked into the corner of a warehouse entryway, out of the light of the street lamps. He eased Roscoe onto it and then just stood there, arms crossed, watching him. The longer they lingered, the higher the risk of getting caught.

"Feel better?" he asked casually, somehow managing to keep his anxiety out of his voice.
You can pretend that when you hear my voice, darling, it's your choice not to fall in.

But it's all an act, 'cause I know exactly what you're wanting. You know it's what I'm wanting

Boy I know what you desire, oh, you're such a bad, bad liar

This could be perfection, or venom dripping in your mouth

Singing like a Siren, love me while your wrists are bound
