The Sith was, as always, in a sour mood, but for Phobos that suited him just fine. He was to meet another Sith here today and he honestly would rather do anything else. Lana, tch. Of course it had to be her, the "nice" one of the whole empire. It made him want to vomit. The war needed to go on in his mind. The more dead Jedi, the better, but of course of course he wasn't in charge. If he was the Jedi would be gone and he would be relaxing on some beach. Of course he just had to attend this meeting. To not do so would be bad for him, but he certainly didn't have to like it.

Thus here he was ten minutes early and sitting ridged in his chair, exuding an aura of "waste my time and die". Hopefully that alone would get the message across to her to make this quick.

"Seems we can't get away from Alliance duties for very long, can we?"

This was asked by a Cathar with white fur, decorated with tiger stripes.  Her brown hair had the faintest hints of silver here and there, and she was dressed in a simple diplomat's outfit.

"No, my love.  We cannot," the human, with her striking yellow-orange eyes, replied.  "I should warn you, though--this is one Sith who--"

"--doesn't like Jedi, I'm guessing.  Not a lot of Sith do, Lana.  We're typically always in conflict with each other," Xyshari said, tapping Lana's nose briefly before she let her hand trail up to the side of her face to brush some of Lana's blond hair behind her ear.  "You forget, I have my saber, and I have the Force on my side."

"Yes, but I'd just as soon this didn't turn into an incident," Lana said.  "It's challenging enough with the fact that both the Empire and the Republic are pushing for an alliance with us, even with the Alliance dissolving soon."

"I'm willing to listen to anyone that you think is worth approaching," Xyshari said.  "Though I'd just as soon remain separate from both..."

Lana looked at her chrono, and nodded.  Seven minutes before the allotted time.  If what she remembered about Phobos was still true, he was probably already there, scowling.  She looked to Xyshari and gave a small nod of her head as she opened the door.

"After you," she said, and Xyshari entered the room.  Lana would follow after, closing the door and straightening her garments before turning to face the other Sith.

Phobos stood up and bowed slightly as they entered before gesturing to seats across from him.

"I trust you made it here without any problems," he stated as his eyes narrowed at the sight of Xyshari. A Jedi. Of course. Lana would be the type to pick up a pet or two. "Please have a seat."

"I'm hoping you can explain to me the finer details of just what exactly it is you're offering with this...Alliance. I won't be working with Jedi unless I can see a benefit to it. So please enlighten me."

He took his own seat again and folded his hands together, waiting oh so patiently for their explanation.

"There were no problems," Lana confirmed in a clipped tone.  "After what happened when we were invited to meet with Acina, it was a... refreshing change," she said, moving to one of the chairs.  Before she could, however, Xyshari pulled out one of the chairs for her, and Lana looked back at her with a small smile as she sat down.

"Yes, I never realized just how bad the storms on Dromund Kaas could be," Xyshari commented as she moved to sit in her own chair beside Lana.  She offered Lana a nod, and Lana returned it, crossing her legs and resting her hands on her lap.

"Not that I think it will change your mind," Lana began in her 'official diplomat tone', as Xyshari called it.  "But the Force users within the Alliance are more than just Jedi or Sith at this point.  Those who have remained after the Nathema incident have proven that their allegiance is to the Alliance, and they will follow whatever instruction they've been given."

"With just enough love of their old homes to sell certain points," Xyshari chimed in.  "What if I were to tell you of a planet long thought lost where some Jedi have managed to carve out an existence, away from everything that's happened in the last five years?"

His eyes lit up at the mention of a planet of Jedi and he stepped his fingers in interest. That was of interest and could work out for him. But then again why is this Jedi so eager to share this with him? Does she belief that tidbit to be enough to convince him to join them?

"A planet of Jedi. How nice. What I'm failing to see though is how this alliance will benefit me personally. I have no ties to any planet. I have no loyalty to any one person. The Empire offers me resources I need. What I want to know is what your alliance will offer me."

He stared them both down, unblinking and unflinching. If they believe he would help out of some "goodness of the heart" they were sorely mistaken.

"We can offer you agents for both sides, and information," Xyshari said.  "As I said, these people are loyal to the Alliance.  They don't care if we go to the Republic or the Empire, or if we send them on their separate ways," she said.  "We could send those that came from the Republic to the Republic forces, and those who came from the Empire back to the Empire."

"Whatever information they can get from their respective sides would then come back to us," Lana said.  "Information that we would be willing to provide, if you were to want it."

"Information on the Jedi there," Xyshari continued.  "On how they've managed to make Ossus livable, how they came across it again in the first place... what they hope to accomplish."

"A reasonable offer. And what do you expect from me in return? Loyalty? Service? Or something else? You do realize I am not a...how should I put this? A man who easily bends to other's wills. I care not for grand things like galactic stability and peace. I have only one goal on my mind."

He looks to Lana.

"I've heard from your partner, now I want to hear from you. You understand the Sith. Our goals, our purpose."

Xyshari bowed her head to Lana, who leaned forward in her chair.

"The furthering of our power, and of our knowledge," Lana said in her usual pragmatic tone.  "This information would be offered freely.  The only thing we expect in return is for the identity of our agents to be defended.  Ultimately, they are loyal to us, and understand that there are still risks involved.  But it's hard to get information from dead agents."

Xyshari nodded.  "Whatever you want to offer us, we'll consider.  But we don't expect anything in return for this information."

He hummed in consideration as he leaned back into his chair. So they were going to leave it up to him. Alright, he could work with that.

"I can protect agents, and slip in some information but I won't be doing much more. I have my own assets within the Empire to protect. I cannot stretch myself too thin when I have duties still to perform. In exchange I expect to be kept up to date on the status of the Jedi and their planet. Is this agreeable with you both?"

"Yes," Xyshari said curtly, and Lana simply nodded in agreement.

"Yes, this is acceptable," Lana said after a moment.  "We have agents from the Republic who are poised to send this information to us.  As for information on the planet itself..." she looked to Xyshari, who nodded.

"How much do you know of the planet?" she asked.  "The Jedi of today know bits and pieces, but... well, in some areas, it helps to have been the Warden of the Order," she said.

"Only that it is where the Jedi began. I was but an apprentice when I left the order and killed my master. I had no interest in history then, only gathering power."

He stares intently at Xyshari.

"It was believed lost to us long ago. But is any place truly lost? Tell me, do you know where it is?"

He leaned in closer and rested his head on his steepled fingers. He was watching her closely. While she may not be a Jedi now there was history there and it was likely she knew more than she would wish to reveal, at least that's what he believed. The brainwashing of the Jedi runs deep to those who were in their thrall for so long in his mind.

Xyshari leaned back in her chair as Phobos looked at her, knitting her fingers together.  Lana looked between the two for a few moments, waiting to see what would happen.  After a few moments, Xyshari pulled out a holomap, and tapped in a few coordinates.

"Ossus is in what we now know as the Outer Rim, in the Auril Sector--specifically, the Adega system," she said, and she zoomed in on the area.  "The Order did try to keep this information secret... but I was a Council memer.  No secrets were barred from me," she said.

"Back when Exar Kun fell, he came to Ossus seeking secrets that the Jedi were rumored to have hidden there.  The cataclysm that resulted in the Cron Cluster exploding, heralding the start of the Great Sith War, left Ossus barren; toxic," she said.  "And yet there are Jedi there now, three hundred years later."

"And the coordinates of this location exactly?" He reached into his vest and pulled out a datapad before handing it over to her.

"I'd like them put in this. Along with any other information you may have on this planet and of any Jedi you may know of there."

He smiled, and it wasn't entirely unpleasant. Like a nexu right before it devoured it's prey, only with less teeth and less drool.

"I have one last request I forgot to mention. The Empire's archivist is off limits. None of your spies are to confront him or go near him. He belongs to me, and I alone will retrieve information from him. Is that clear?"

"We've no interest in specific people," Lana said simply.  "And we'll make sure that our agents know the same."

Xyshari, meanwhile, took the datapad and began to enter in information.

"My own knowledge beyond what I have seen in archives is limited," she said.  "There are two Jedi whose names I immediately recognized there: Tau Idair and Gnost-Dural.  If what I remember about Tau is still true, she's likely heading up security of some form there.  She was always wearing heavy battle armor, and has a bit of a temper.  Beat a Sith with her bare hands, and then shoved him out of a transport with a grenade in his mouth on Corellia," she said.

Lana turned to look at her lover, her brows knitting in concern.  However, the Cathar continued unphased.

"Gnost-Dural is the archivist.  Whatever he's looking for, he'll hide carefully--almost jealously," she said.  "The two were the lone survivors of a campaign in the swamps of Mimban," she continued.  "There are... two others I have heard of there.  Nadia Grell, a Sarkhai Jedi, and... Archiban Kimble.  Not Force sensitive, but a doctor," she said.  She paused for a moment.  "...those two are also to be protected."

"Good. He's too clever. He would sense something is amiss if questioned far too easily. He trusts me, everyone else not so much."

"I promise I will leave those two alive." And that shark faced grin is back.

"As for the other Jedi I see that as more of a challenge than a threat. I haven't had a fair hunt in ages. I do hope she is as good as you say she is, I've been missing a good challenge."

He waves his hand at mention of the archivist. "The archivist is of little value to me. He'll be easily exterminated and his knowledge taken for our own."
