Moss gingerly stands back up on her feet. "I'm fine, but thank you for asking. Chrissy is making a big uproar over nothing." Chrisanthium helps to brush some of the dirt off Moss by sweeping her with her tail. "Well excuse me for looking after you. You never stand up for yourself so I do it for you." Moss sighs "I happen to not let insignificant problems bother me, unlike you." Chrisanthium growls, but says nothing. As the crowd jostles and bumps the  group Moss makes the suggestion to leave this crowded street and go somewhere more out of the way. Chrisanthium nods her head "Ya, let's get out of here." She trots up to Gawain hopeing that he would follow "I like your wings. I wish that I could have some like that." Moss slowly walks up behind her. "Yes, Chrissy has wanted wings to fly with since she was a pup." She walks ahead of the two towards Kane and Aurora "Don't worry" She whispers to the pair. "We'll try to get out of this place as soon as possible so that people aren't around to stare anymore." Moss had noticed Kane's plight when she was dusting herself off and decided to try and help the poor creature out.

Gawain blushed under his fur. It wasn't often that he got compliments.
"Well, if you really want to fly... Maybe the Triumvirate could grant you wings some day! I heard they can do things like that."
'It sounds as if these beings are frighteningly powerful,' Imbrium thought-spoke to them.
She led the group towards one of the less crowded areas in an alley leading towards a tiny little church. There were not many people here at all.
"Should we go in?" Gawain asked everyone.

Kane blinked at the fenling, and Aurora knew what she was thinking. Does this fenling know WHY people stared at her? Why it actually bothered her? Does she know what the rumors say? Before either could say anything, the group moved down a small alley to a tiny church. Kane peeked over Aurora's shoulder then mewed as she jumped off. She mewed again as she stood on a step leading to the doors, looking at Imbri. Her companion spoke for her. "She wants to go in, if it won't bug you, Imbri." She smiled down at the fenling beside her, wondering what brought the small creature into a city as big as this.

Chrisanthium jumped as Imbrium spoke in her head. The only creatures who used it on her before were the twins and those tricky floranas only did it to upset her. She puts it aside and smiles at Gawain "I would love it if I could get wings and fly. I'd go around the whole world and see everything." She looks up at the small church without too much interest. She had wanted to see the larger churches, but they were probably filled to the brim with tourists and would annoy her. "Sounds alright to me." She pushes the door open and heads inside.

Moss is slightly shocked by the voice of Imbrium in her head. However, she remains composed and looks up to him "Yes the Triumverant are quite powerful. However, I see little reason to greatly fear them. If you show proper respect then they should return it and possibly reward it." She watches Chrisanthium walk into the church and sighs in frustration. How could she just do as she pleases without regard to the other's opinions, she asks herself. "This church does seem nice. I wonder if they have any lovely stained glass art inside?" She smiles back up at Aurora. Moss aproved of this fellox who obviously cared deeply for Kane, accepting her even with her species background. Any being who would do something like this was an instant companion for Moss.

Gawain followed Chrisanthium into the church and was awed by how large it looked on the inside. The high, vaulted ceiling towered before the group like a sparkling, ivory mountain. A stained glass window took up the wall opposite them, shining colored light onto the altar. There were only six pews, three on each side, and a single door in the left corner. Lovely though it was, there didn't seem to be a single person inside.
Imbrium came in last, ears flattened back. Despite everyone's reassurances, she still felt uncomfortable entering a holy place like this. Though she had to admit, she had rarely seen anything so beautiful...

Kane mewed and jumped onto Aurora's back as the two followed the others into the church. Once inside, the cat-like creature lept onto a pew and began to jump her way to the front while obviously trying not to touch the ground. Aurora laughed. "Sometimes I wonder if you're still a kitten, Kane." Glancing at the others, she made her way around, looking at the structure in awe. Then there was a crash and Kane shot out from under a pew to hide behind Imbri's leg. Aurora then noticed a pot of flowers laying on the floor, its contents scattered. She sighed and began to clean up the mess. Kane gave a weak smile at the others before placing her paw on Imbri's leg. "Didn't see...those there..." she thought through her paw, her voice still barely making it to the Nyghtmare's mind. Obviously she was trying to explain to Imbri, knowing that the creature was jumpy in a place like this.

Gawain pranced up the aisle, his eyes full of wonder as he took in the sights. Imbri smiled slightly. He really is little more than a child, she thought. I keep forgetting. It's been years since I found him as an infant; if he were a Nyghtmare, he would be a full-grown stallion by now. Just like...
Suddenly, a crash jerked her out of her reverie. She struggled to keep herself from rearing. Then she saw it had only been Kane. The little cat thought-spoke to her in a tiny tinkle of a voice. Imbrium bent her head down to nuzzle the startled creature.
'You needn't worry about me, little one. I dare say I've been on this earth longer than you have.'
How long it had been since she'd had someone find such comfort in her presence? How long since she'd felt such a strong urge to protect? She shook her head, fighting off the nostalgia of memories.

Chrisanthium is amazed at how pretty the church was on the inside. She had expected that only the popular churches were the pretty ones. Now after seeing this one she had a total change of opinion. "Wow, just look at this place Gawain. I can't believe that Moss and I would have missed this place!" She doesn't notice the vase breaking as she was too interested in the pretty stained glass. She runs down the pew to where the podium stood and got behind it. Stretching up so she was standing on her hind legs she puts her paws on the podium's top and begins a "sermon". "Good day everyone. Today we will begin with the sermons of Jediah the prophet and Elanor the enchanted."

Moss enters the church with silent awe, she was so glad that they had found this place. She supposed that this would support the theory of everything happens for a reason. Her ribs still did hurt a little bit, but no matter. There were much more painful things in the world and she should be enjoying the time that she was here in this lovely church. She walks over towards a beautiful window with the sea depicted in it. She stands up on her hind feet with her front paws leaning against the wall for support to get a closer view. That's when she hears Chrisanthium's "sermon." "Crissy! I am ashamed at you." She gets down and starts walking towards the pew. "We are in a place of reverence and tranquility and you make fun of it. How could you?" Chrisanthium gets down and hangs her head knowing that she was in trouble. "Aw come on Moss. I was just haveing a little fun."

Kane purred as Imbri nuzzled her and turned to Aurora who had just finished cleaning. The fellox walked over to the choir section and looked around, probably trying to figure out the sound quality there. Then, satisfied with her examination, began to hum a beautiful tune she heard when passing a church once. Closing her eyes, she became wrapped in the enchanting melody. Kane, knowing her companion was in her own little world, turned to Imbri again. While the nyghtmare's head was still down, she placed a paw on her forehead. The words this time were still soft and bell-like, just like her voice, but were clearer. "What are we going to do now?" Kane's questioning eyes gazed at Imbri as she half-listened to Aurora's clear voice ringing through the building.

((OOC: I don't have any real plot planned out, so feel free to pull the story in your direction if you have any ideas!))

Gawain chuckled quietly at Chrisanthium's speech, despite Moss's scolding.
"It's all right, Moss," he said with a warm smile. "I'm sure she doesn't mean any disrespect."
He continued up past Chrissy to the altar, where he saw that some of the floor tiles had been cracked. One had even been pried up and lay shattered on the ground nearby. Bare earth showed where the tile used to be, and a tiny blue flower rose up from the little patch.
"Hey, guys, take a look at this!" Gawain called to the others.
Imbrium had been listening distractedly to Aurora's beautiful singing when Kane thought a question to her. She hadn't had time to answer before Gawain beckoned them.
'What is it, Gawain?'
"It's a flower! Come and see!"
Intrigued, Imbri trotted up the aisle to where the Sygriff stood.
'So it is,' said Imbrium. 'Strange that it should grow here. Where could the seed have come from?'
"I don't know. It's certainly beautiful, though."

Chrisanthimum thanks Gawain a million time over in her head. If he hadn't said anything Moss would still be scolding her. She turns her head to see what Gawain was looking at then follows him over. "Ooo. It is pretty Gawain." She gets down onto her stomach and crawls up so close to the flower that her nose almost touches it. "I  should know what type of flower this is. The other leawolves and I do all the gardening around the pens." Chrisanthimum wracks her brain trying to remember what it is. "Oh I know! It's a Himalayan blue poppy." She steps back from it proud that she remembered the flower's name. "I wonder what it's doing here, it's normally found in colder climates?"

Moss backs off from scolding Chrisanthimum for the time being. The leawolf was only playing after all.  Moss wakls over to see this strange flower. She shakes her head as she sees the destroyed floor. As Chrisanthimum wonders what it's doing here she looks around the church and everything had a small piece of blue in it. "I believe it is because of all the blue artifacts in here. Just look at this, some of the books are blue." She goes to a lower level of the podium blowing off dust from a book on the shelf. She pulls it out for everyone to see. "Most of the stained glass has to do with blue colors, and look" She  runs down to the front of the church where there is a blue tile the same color as the flower. "What could it all mean." She sits down on the tile and a great rumbling goes through the church.

Kane turned her head at the sound of Gawain's call and followed Imrbi over to the flower. She mewed happily at the sight, obviously delighted with the pretty plant. In the background, Aurora sang quieter, not wanting to stop but not wanting to bug the others either. She was clearly trying not to sing louder, she was so happy about the flower. Something about nature always made her want to sing more. Kane listened to Moss and Chrissy, curious. They had a point. Then she half-hissed, half-yowled as the church began to rumble. Instinctively, she latched onto Imbri's leg, twisting herself around it. Aurora staggered mid-note, surprised by the rumbling. "What is that?" she shouted out as she ran over to the group.

Gawain looked around frantically, wondering what on earth could be happening. Imbrium stood her ground. If she had been alone, she would have bolted by now. But Kane was depending on her. She wouldn't let the little cat be hurt.
Suddenly, the tiles in front of the altar began to shift and move. They retracted into the sides, slowly revealing a staircase going down into the darkness. When it was finished, the rumbling ceased. Gawain walked over and looked down.
"What in the--it's a secret passage!" he said excitedly. "Let's see where it goes!"
'This place is dangerous, Gawain. We should leave. Besides, it's dark down there, and we have nothing to light the way.'

Chrysanthemum grabbed on to a nearby bench as the building shook shutting her eyes tight until it was all over. When the shaking stops and she opens her eyes again her jaw dropped.She couldn't believe what she was seeing. A staircase descending into the darkness appearing out of nowhere. This was the best church ever! "Holy Tuskow! I totally agree with you Gawain, this must be explored. Let me just get a quick light snack, don't leave with out me." She dashes out the door blinking at the strong light. "Yummy. This shouldn't take too long." She sits beside the church letting the sun wash over her.

Moss dashes off the blue tile and bounds underneath the bench Chrysanthemum is clinging too. She watches as the floor opens up with wide eyes. She just couldn't believe what she was seeing. When the shakeing stops and Gawain and Chrysanthemum both decide to go down Moss's stomach leaps into her throat. "Absolutely not. I agree with Imbri this is just to dangerous." But as usual Chrysanthemum was out the door and not listening. Moss huffs in irritation, but continues. "If anything were to happen to any of you I would never forgive myself."

Chrysanthemum trots back in with a slight glow to her now that she was completely full. "Alrighty I'm ready Gwain, let's go." She starts to walk over towards the stairs when Moss jumps in front of her blocking the way. "Chrissy this is far to dangerous. You can't go."

Kane watched in awe as a starcase appeared before them. At the same time, she felt Imbri's urge to bolt, and sent a thank-you to the Nyghtmare's mind. Somewhat unwillingly, she peeled herself away from Imbri's leg and walked up to the opening, listening to the others as she stared down the steps. After the others ceased talking, she mewed.

Aurora was watching a large, crumbling statue beside her warily when the rumbling stopped, and did not notice the stairs until she heard the others arguing. Turning, she noticed Kane looking at them and sighed. Gracefully, she walked over and sat next to the small creature, waiting for the others to stop arguing. Hearing Kane mew, she looked down and stifled a giggle. "Of course you're not scared, you little adventurer!" she nudged her teasingly and looked up at the others, feeling the need to explain. "Kane and I...our master, Jaden, is the Master of Shadows. We aren't scared of the dark, and as long as it isn't...uh, pitch black, as you call it, we are taught to see. We are creatures of Dark, and we call your kind creatures of Light. It's complicated if I went into details..." Giving a small smile, she watched curiously as she waited for the reaction.
