Once a grand cathedral dedicated to the Holy Triumvirate, all that remains now are ruins ever since the religion was rejected strongly in 1823. While the religion is back in favor, the cathedral was never restored. (+3 Defense, +2 Offense)

God of Death?

((er... Limited...?))
How dark are our hearts?
A feeling close to nostalgia, tickling up one's spine like a vagrant raindrop that ceased to fall so long ago. Great towers rise, and none but dark ones stood upon the altar to sentance and condemn; forever contradicted, for all was not at peace, with soul and self.
How deep was our longing?

Softly, paws fell upon stone, stone that had long since forgotten the feel of footsteps. All was silent within the foreboding ground, with murderous intent still lingering in the air, after these long centuries of dormancy and neglect. Perhaps this figure was here to resurrect these wayward ideals?
But no, he only watched.

A bell's tinkling; a feeling of annoyance. For how long had he been plagued with this dreaded trinket? Too long, far too long. And yet, he could not find it within himself to relinquish it.
Green flames burned in such an unreal fashion, like the mage-fires of the old, scorching nothing. Perhaps it was cold flame. A dark pelt, dark but still ashen, streaked with silver, with age? No, not age, for the being was young still.
What did he want here?

As soft as the footsteps of the dark Kuhna were, there approached one whose step created no sound whatsoever, her paws barely coming in contact with the  cool marble floor. Her white coat continuously flickered between looking fully corporeal and fully ethereal, and faint gold flames flickered at the tips of her tails. But the most interesting thing about this particular Kuhna were her eyes... Their soft grey depths appeared to stare right through to a person's soul, and they had a haunted quality, as if she had seen what no mortal ever should. Slowly the Spectrekuhna made her way into Lambastia, though for what purpose such a creature had in this tainted place, none could know. She made no indication that she had noticed the male with green flames (though such a trait was indeed a rarity); instead she simply padded past him further into the cathedral, as if drawn by some force...

Estranged, palest contrast to the foreboding figure; but the silver was the same, and endlessly gaunt. Haunted too, this one... And with her, burned great holy blazes, that in which questioned the very nature of this palace of bloodshed.
Just what were her intentions?

Certainly, her presence was not anticipated by one who wore such a cloak of shadows; his own emerald light gave way to his shock. Had he not come seeking solitude? Or mayhap, the dark airs of the place drew him to it, for surely one of his name, his nature would indeed have affinity with such a location.
For, were his eyes not filled with a holocaustic glow?

Hesitation, but what for? there was no recognition in the form of this being. Quietly, his wills did battle, unquenched was the thirst of curiosity thought long subdued and the stoic disposition.
Then, in as hushed and serpentine a voice that has never been heard, the one who carried the nameof Death spoke.
"What is wanted of me?"

Ears flicked back as a susurrus voice reached them, asking a question that had surely been echoed by many... but it was not her place to pose an answer. Pausing in her steps, the flickering Kuhna turned her head to look back at the deathly one, but she spoke not a word. Instead, she gave him a look as if to say, "Will you not follow?" and continued her path. The presence of this green-flamed Kuhna intrigued her somewhat, but her own presence in this cursed place was a higher puzzle, and she was determined to discover just why she had come. Perhaps it had to do with her past... perhaps not... but she would find out.

The longing to understand; deep within our corrupt, uncertain hearts, for knowledge is indeed as much a curse as a blessing. Soundlessly, our aspirations lie in wait, prowling the mind, the soul, forever evading the moment of truth.
Was this our true nature?

The silhouette was still, reduced to stone for his ponderings, for loathing was steadfast in its claims to his heart, and the golden halo about her form burned within his eyes uneasily.
But, as is the nature of felines all, he thirsted for revelation.

She could not be the truth, for was her form there; within the outline was nothing at times. Mere mirage could not entice so, one might conclude, but in this shell of the former adversities, what freedom had one for such assumptions?

Pawsteps of a different sort could be heard... Only to the listening, though. The paws were producing such sound that was almost a vacuum of noise... Her paws falling upon the ground seemed to suck the sound from the air in an eerie fashion... Twin tails flicked behind her and she carried her head with an innocent air of one who was young. She looked quite young, as well, with large, innocent, curious eyes and rather large yet graceful paws.

Jaenelle trotted silently to behind Hades, staring at the green flamed Kuhna curiously, eyes wide. As her jaws parted, such a sound emanated from her throat that was not quite a grunt, and not quite a squeak, but a noise of surprise, nonetheless. She slowly furrowed both brows, trying to work out in her mind what this particular male would be doing here... Her young appearance was confusing in and of itself; what would one so small be doing in a place that emanated such... Evil? To that effect, what would evil be defined as? What was Hell? Jaenelle's eyes slid out of focus and she appeared to be staring at nothing, perhaps the air between herself and the other. Aereka was conveniently ignored.

Again, a pause, as another entered the tainted halls of Lambastia... It was becoming quite the crowd, and Aereka was not one for large groups. Without so much as a cursory glance back at the newcomer, the ghost-like Kuhna continued her course. The other two were free to follow her if they so wished, but she would not be staying in the outer corridors of the cathedral. No, her calling was deeper within. Still she did not know for what purpose she had been called, but something had spoken to her and told her to come... Her pale fur bristled lightly. Such a dark place... why here? But then... why not?

Confusion, like the gentle flutter of the winds, stirring in one's heart locked steadfast in ice; and a question bloomed in the shadowed one's mind. What drew these other beings here? Mayhap he might take his leave, but it remained too late now, and too early.
Was it fate?

Resigned to the role of the follower, but where was he to go? And what of new company, and her intentions, and the motives to her actions still? Could he not be rid of her in this abyss; but certainly she would not be still. A harder fate to resign oneself to.
Again, the words snaked forth from his maw.
"What is wanted of me?"

But no more; the lingering was filled with unease, so the shade moved on, and though he was silent, seemed to make the most noise in this dreaded place, plagued with only painful memoirs of long ago.

"That you must find yourself." A midnight whisper escaped Jaenelle's jaws, as she turned from him and padded quietly after Aereka. Names seemed to be a minor detail in this situation; they each had been summoned to Lambastia's Grand Cathedral for their own reason. The only difference the Elder Kuhna could see was that she, for the most part, understood her reasoning for being here. It was Witch that she came to understand. She came to take her other half into herself; to become one with her mind. To meditate and to repair the crystal chalice.

"Handle the chalice gently; do not break crystal..." She murmured, to Hades and Aereka and to herself. Her chalice had been broken before; she had spent two long, stressful years repairing it. Breaking once was difficult. The chalice was fragile if it had shattered before; like to shatter again if the wrong stimuli was introduced... And then, there was no escape from the Twisted Kingdom, which many considered a horrible thing.

It was just a way of seeing things to Jaenelle. The landen called it madness. But the Blood knew better. They knew one could be lead out of the Twisted Kingdom if one's chalice was repaired.

Her eyes fixed on Aereka, the fading in and out, and the Kuhna's body in general. She was a pretty Kuhna, if not a haunted looking one... No doubt she was here to find something, as was Hades, who had the same confused and yet compelled look, deep within his eyes. The question was what were they there for? They didn't seem to even know. Well, they would find out, in their own miniature quest inside this dark cathedral.

Again, her ears flicked back as the others spoke, and Aereka found herself musing over the Elder's puzzling words. Chalice? Crystal? What could she talking about? Her body flickered into nothingness for a moment as she thought, then came back into the tangible world. Well... perhaps she would learn, if this Kuhna was to come deeper into the cathedral. Silently, the ghostly Kuhna continued forward, padding past grand alabaster pillars and once-magnificent stained glass windows, now broken. Deeper, came the urge. You must travel deeper into this forsaken place... The golden fire that smoldered at the tip of her tails created ever-changing shadows upon the floor, shadows that danced and leapt as if to run from the light... just as this entire building had done.

Confusion; mingling in the stale air filled with the remnants of massacre beyond memory, whose spirits ravaged sought vengance still. Green flames flared, in annoyance? But emotions too were distraught with perplexity.
Had he come without motive? And what drove the others? Uncertainty plagued; like insects in the summer breeze, without rest. What was to be done but go on?

Sanity seemed to ebb from his form like the tide; in its place, something quite akin to fear. But that too was tainted, stained with anger and unanswered queries, reflected in green pools of blazing acidity. Best if one might not touch the shaded one now.
Perhaps it was this place that brought out things in one such as he; or even his companions.

One certainty: peace was not to be found in this fortess of the haunted.

Jaenelle's stride quickened, though it was still completely silent, as though she was walking on the air above the floor. Her wings spread for a moment as she paused, staring quietly as a ghost at the ceiling. Then folded up again, as she continued on. Soon she was level with Aereka. She stared as she walked, at the eyes of one so similar to herself in coloration, one so silent, so much her elder. The fading Kuhna was somewhat of an inspiration. But she was confused. She was unsure as to why she was here, and what she would do.

"You do not know why you are here... You are as lost in the darkness as he is. But you will do great things as you have done." She murmured so that only Aereka could hear, her voice more childish than it had been the previous time she had spoken.

Her eyes flickered to Hades over her shoulder and she sensed his emotions, conflicting and sliding in and out of focus as one's vision tended to before unconsciousness claimed one's mind. He would do great things. But he should not know it.

((Sorry, Chaotic Mind, but it says that this RP is 'limited' in the first post, which means that you need to ask Kitzu's permission before joining...))

At these words, the faded Kuhna turned her head to fully bear upon the Elder, a faint look of surprise upon her usually sad countanance. You will do great things as you have done... What manner of being was this Kuhna, that she said such things? Did she have the power to gaze upon the past and future? Was she some sort of prophet? ...Or perhaps a false prophet; it would not be strange to hear of one in this twisted place. Ah well, best to proceed with caution, as it always was. Even deeper into the cathedral she went, until... the hall opened up upon a once-grand altar, the pews smashed and the altar itself in crumbling ruin. Aereka strode right up before it, finally coming to rest and curl her glowing tails about her paws. Here... Here is where it would happen... though what, she still knew not.

(Kitkit said I could respond before her. :3)

Jaenelle's sharp eyes picked up on the subtle change in Aereka's expression, having been trained to do so for the longest time dealing with Daemon. She knew of the past and she could take a very educated guess at the future, though prophet was not the word that could be used to describe her. She followed her elder obediently, her large eyes widening even more at the sight of the alter and pews. It was destruction, and very organized destruction at that. But what could have done something like this?

Certainly not something that she knew of... Not many creatures intentionally inflicted this kind of damage to a place.

Her paws carried her past the faded Kuhna and closer to the altar. One raised and stepped up onto-- air? Jaenelle climbed the air as though climbing stairs, though none were to be seen.

Ghosts of those long dead still linger here... Her midnight whisper was soft, as though she were speaking to herself, and more likely than not she was, watching spirits of the dead in this place of so-called evil. She turned, standing still high on air, tails lashing behind her. Her stare pierced Aereka and Hades, brow furrowed, looking as though she were staring into their very souls. "I don't suppose either of you would know any ghosts about this cathedral? They have been here since long before my arrival... Few are recent; the vast majority are quite old and faded." This last was added as clarification, as though her words could be made less vague and perhaps Aereka and Hades would recognize one of the ghosts.

Likely as not, they couldn't even see them, but how was she to know that?
