"We wouldn't be 'ere if ya hadn't dropped 'at ol' 'ing, now would we? What's so importnt 'bout a token, anywayz?" Kachu complained. The two thieves walked side by side, Denook'o towering over Kachu's small body.
"That thing has magical abilities and is worth loads of dough. Isn't being rich and powerful what we wanted when we got into this?"
Kachu snorted at Denook'o's words and kept walking. "Heyz, know where we could get some food 'round 'ere? My stomach's growlin' louda than a battle'eart."
"The token comes first."
Kachu snorted once again and tried not to say anything.

The thieves decided to stay the night in a cave-like structure formed in the ruins. "We'll get food in the morning, Kachu, stop complaining."
"Complainin'? Who's complainin' ova 'ere? It can't be me, I was jus' sittin' 'ere actin' all pretty-like."
Denook'o shook his head with annoyance and for a second wondered why he even teamed up with this tavil.
"G'night, Denny, don't let 'em bed bugs bite." Kachu said with a wide grin on is face as he started drifting off to sleep.
"Same." Denook'o lowered his head so he could do the same. Man, I have to teach that fleabag how to pronouce is TH's..

Kachu blinked his eyes open. He turned his head to see Denook'o still sleeping in the rubble.
"Heyz..Denny.." He whispered, hoping for a response. There was none. The tavil grunted and got up.
"I guess I be gettin' food.. Jus' don't be expectin' me t'be gettin' food fer 'e bo' of us." Kachu started walking through the ruins. Every once and a while he would call out random things like ''ere, food!' and expect the food to come to him. But what can you expect from a creature with almost no education? He picked up the scent of something sweet and started following it. "Food!" He exclaimed when he saw the two apples laying on the ground.

Denook'o opened his eyes and yawned. He stretched out his wings and blinked a couple times. "Kachu?" He said as he turned around. "Kachu? Kachu?!" He started to panic. His only friend and partner was missing. He flew into the air to get a better look at the area to see if he could find Kachu. He finally spotted his bleached fur and flew in it's direction.
"Kach! Don't eat those!"
Kachu turned around to take a look at Denook'o and said,
"Kach? Since when d'you be 'e one t'be givin' nicknames, eh?"
"Kachu, I'm serious. You don't know what's in those."
"What's in 'em? What is 'is, eh? Snow White? Sleepin' Beauty? I don't know teh difference."
Denook'o glared at Kachu for a while and finally said, "Fine. But I warned you."
Kachu grew a big smile on his face and took a bite of the apple.

I guess the apples weren't poisonous, Denook'o thought to himself about an hour later.
"So, where d'ya 'ink ya left 'at ol' Token, eh?"
"Nearby, I guess. The area looked a lot like over there." Denook'o pointed a talon to the west.
"Right. After we find 'is 'ere Token, we'll be back on our regular schedule, right?" Kachu asked hopefully.
Denook'o nodded as a response and the two headed toward the area where the Token might be.
"If the Token isn't here then there's no use looking anywhere else afterward."
Kachu nodded, holding in all his joy. They both dug through piles of rubble and searched. Where could it be?

"I-I don't think it's here." Denook'o stammered sadly.
"Ha. What'd I say, eh?" Kachu spat. "Yer always tellin' me 'at you left stuff behind in the most redicoolus places an' whenever we actually get 'ere you always say it's somewhere else." The tavil pouted like a small child. Denook'o grunted at Kachu's words and kept digging.
"You do realize that if it isn't here we can leave, right?" He said, trying to brighten up Kachu's mood. Kachu immediately got up and started tugging on Denook'o's feathers.
"Mmkay. It ain't here, Denny, let's go!" He said over and over. Denook'o couldn't keep from laughing the entire time. Kachu was such a child, personality-wise. It was going to take the tavil a long time before he started taking being a thief seriously.
