Once a grand cathedral dedicated to the Holy Triumvirate, all that remains now are ruins ever since the religion was rejected strongly in 1823. While the religion is back in favor, the cathedral was never restored. (+3 Defense, +2 Offense)

(Jair; Human Form)

Jair shook her head, braids whipping wildly around her cheeks. Beside her, a rather larger than life creature trundled unwittingly, it’s massive bulk enough to send even the bravest of wayfarers running. The woman, intimidating in her full set of purple armor, and the creature, intimidating in it’s own permanent armor, seemed quite a sight as they strolled down the country path, seeming oblivious to the rain that pelted them and set up a musical chorus of tinkling bells as it landed on their armor. The purple haired woman laid a hand on her companions shoulder plate, and the giant creature lumbered to a halt, looking perplexed. For such a large creature, it’s brain was relatively small, and made it a bit difficult for it to comprehend most things. So it didn’t know why they were stopping when they had such a lovely forward motion going. “I can only imagine this rain isn’t going to let up,”

Jair sighed, tilting her head up and closing her eyes as the rain pelted her cheeks. Her helmet was clipped to her belt; she’d wanted a bit of fresh air for a change. “What do you think?” The creature rumbled slowly, looking at her devotedly, but not understanding the question. “Yeah, I agree,” Jair continued, practically speaking to herself. The two of them deviated from the pathway, and found a low, rocky outcropping near the side of a mountain face, relatively close to the path. The large creature settled down beneath it, and Jair seated herself on one of it’s spikes, taking great care not to cut herself up. She leaned back, folding her arms and watching the path quietly in the rain.

I love adventurous tales like that. That uplifting feeling that comes from seeing unknown lands and the knowledge that you came across—nothing can replace it! It opens a path from which self-confidence, experience, and important friendships—from the sharing of life or death situations—are born! But hearing it just isn’t the same. Mirage groaned; it seemed as though the rain was never going to let up.  Just her luck.  She had managed to get away from the pack for a while, and her day off suddenly gets soaked.  Her pelt almost sizzled at the cold wet drops hit it again and again, and she pelted through the rain as she made a beeline to the cathedral's entrance.

Mirage had been going so fast that she toppled right into someone who had been standing at the entrance.  There hadn't been enough time to stop, and there wasn't any way to slow down either due to the lack of traction.  She had been running smoothly, and had just gotten to the entrance, and, bam!  She hit something quite hard, and found herself toppling over and over.

She muttered something under her breath, and got up.  Of course... she thought to herself as she caught a glimpse of her appearance.  She had accidentally shifted when she fell, and there wasn't anyway to get back to her quad form until she was dry once more.  Once she regained her composure, she looked over to see what exactly she had collided with in the first place.

“What the-?!” Jair and her pet, Beskgar, leapt to attention, before Jair was unceremoniously plowed into by a wayward woman and her clumsy antics. The armored woman went down hard, landing in a heap next to the giant, lumbering form of Beskgar. Jair was certain she’d been bowled over by a woman (Although she’d thought the thing had four legs, not two) and sat on the floor, blinking hard and wondering what had really happened. She lifted her eyes, growling softly as Beskgar looked confused.

Had something furry and small just run inside? Why was there a person there now? Oh, it was all too confusing for it’s tiny brain. So Beskgar decided to let his mistress handle it; she was smart, right? Jair struggled to her feet, dusting the dirt and sand that had inadvertently clung to her armor and gloves as she stood. “Hey!” she shouted, narrowing angry violet eyes a the woman. “Watch where your going you di'kutla klutz!”

She ejected her vibroblade form her gauntlet, eyeing the woman suspiciously. “What the shab do you think your doing here?” she asked, brandishing the weapon menacingly. “And what do you think your doing running into me?! Bad idea, little girl. I’m the last person you want to make angry.”

"Little girl!?" Mirage growled.  She just about lunged at the girl in front of her; the only thing, or things stopping her was the bot beside her and the weapon she was brandishing menacingly.  "Let's get this straight right now.  I'm not a little girl, and you sure as hell don't want to mess with me." she said with venom in her voice.  This is ridiculous... she thought to herself.  Who did this woman think she was?

Her hair began to heat, and before she knew it, the air began to heat up and crackle around the two.  She was going to lose control if she didn't calm herself down.  But then again, this woman did deserve to be put in her place, talking to another person like that, right?

Mirage stood there debating about whether she should attack her or not when she noticed something about the woman in front of her.  She didn't seem to be from around here.  There was a familiar feature, but at the same time, it made her stand out from others...  Kinda like him.  No, that isn't possible! she said to herself.  But still, she had to try.  Trying desperately to remember a scrap of the language, she said, "Copaani mirshmure'cye, vod?"

(Yeah, PM me if you need to know what that means, but I downloaded KT's dictionary, and thought that phrase appropriate for their situation.  Course you probably know what that means anyway.  xDD)

Oh snap. No she did NOT. Jair’s eyes narrowed into dangerous, purple slits as she glared at the woman across from her. She didn’t seem particularly phased by the woman’s weird aura, or the fact that she could practically see sparks flying from her body. “You either have very little brains, or very little value on life, aruetii,” the purple haired woman hissed, her own sparks practically flying form the intensity of her gaze. “In case you were not aware, it was YOU who stumbled over ME. I’m not sure if your tiny little mind can comprehend this, but you owe me an apology.” She flashed the blade again, advancing a few steps with dark intent.

She seemed bigger than she really was in armor, and was well aware of how intimidating, and how durable the armor was; in a fight, it not only made her look scarier, but it also provided a diverse shell of protection. Then Jair received one of the biggest shocks of her life (Second only to the news that she’d be a mother) when the girl spoke Mando’a. The phrase she uttered, however, was not a friendly one. Jair’s eyes narrowed even further, into sharp, dagger like slits, and she hissed at the woman, clearly angered into a rage. “You tell me, aruetii. Because I think you’re the one who deserves a good smack…and maybe a good knifing to finish it all up. Before I gut you, mind telling me where you learned that phrase and from whom?”

((Haha, oh man. No, I don’t need translation. XD I totally know what it means.))

"That's where you are mistaken.  And if you proceed to call me such a word once more, you'll find yourself in a hell hole before you can say Coruscanta.  Ne shab'rud'ni!"  She took a few steps back to give herself some aiming room.  She had yet to perfect the technique of barking fire, but with a target as big as the di'kut in front of her, it would be pretty hard to miss.

And yet, just as she had been ready to attack, the woman's question caught her off guard.  And she was right to question the origins of her speech, Mirage hadn't spoken anything but english for many years, and now suddenly she was spewing out Mando'a.  "Ner buir Mando'ade." she said confidently.  Of course, she didn't remember much about him, only that he had taught her how to fire a blaster and how to fight with a team.  Then she had gotten separated from him, and that was the end of that.  Was it possible that this woman she was about to try and kill had some answers about him?  Yet, she didn't really care.  She had called into question her loyalty and authenticity, and for that she would die at her hands (or paws).

Barking, a ball of flames flew through the air at the mysterious woman, while Mirage sent a few more barreling straight at her target, not even an inch off course.  Meanwhile, the image of a blazing sun had begun to burn on the stomach of Mirage's human form, and small rings began to envelop her, lending to her power.  This was going to be fun.

Jair was beginning to wonder just who this girl was. She spoke Mando’a (Although not too well; her pronunciation was a bit off), and she said her father was a Mandalorian? Or mother, of course. Mando’a had no gender, so Jair wasn’t certain, but she imagined it was the girls father. She unclipped her helmet from her belt and shoved it on her head. Beskgar rumbled angrily, no longer confused as to what this girl was; she was an enemy, and she needed to be taken care of. The first ball of flames Jair dodged, stepping to the side with grace that any other woman in armor probably would have been hard pressed to imitate.

The next ones were blocked by the bulky tail of Beskgar as he swung the giant axe-like appendage in front of his mistress, keeping the flames from impacting. They barely even made a scratch on his impenetrable armor. He trundled around to face the girl, and rumbled a warning and Jair sheathed her blade and drew her twin pistols, spinning them around her fingers. She didn’t hesitate; she fired straight at the woman, no longer concerned with the mystery of who she was. The blue blaster fire lit up the front of Jair’s helmet, creating an eerie blue light that bounced off her armor.

“Dunno who you are,” she grunted, firing more shots. “But if you’re a Mando, you should know that attacking one of your own people is taboo. Mandos don’t fight Mandos unless we’re paid to be on opposite sides. If your not an  aruetii, then you should know that! Stand down, girl, or I won‘t hesitate to kill you.” Beside her, beskgar rumbled his agreement, ready and willing to take on  this strange, fiery young woman in defense of his mistress.

Finally, she decided that it wasn't worth it.  If she tried anything else, not only could she be accused of being what this woman continually called her, but she'd be dead before it got to that point.  She morphed into her quad form, and knelt down to signal that she was going to surrender.  "Do you know others?" she asked her.  "And, well, so I don't have to keep referring to you in such vulgar and accurate ways, your name might be nice."

"If you do, can...  Can you take me there?  I need to see my father." Mirage said stubbornly.   She had to figure out who the hell this woman was, even if it cost her something.  It wasn't like she would march her somewhere in chains.  Right?

Jair was, frankly, surprised that the fight went out of her so quickly. Maybe she wasn’t a Mando after all. But then, she was smart, so it could go either way. Jair lowered her weapons, but kept an eye on the woman as she holstered her twin blasters. Beskgar rumbled, angry that it’s battle had been forestalled, and settled down again, making a very loud thump as he landed in the dirt.

Jair continued to study the girl behind her helmet, stepping forward slightly. “Of course I know others, silly girl. You refer to yourself as a Mandalorian, yet know nothing of your heritage or culture. That, little one, is the most important part of being who we are. You probably don’t even know about the Resol’nare, do you?” she mused, frowning darkly behind her helmet.

Jair folded her arms across her chest, tilting her head to the side. “You want me to take you to Mandalore? For what? Do you even know the name of your father? Who he was?” She shook her head. “Without that information, there will be no way to know who he really is.” She settled on Beskgar’s shoulder, one hand on her upraised knee. “My name is Jair Bikadinir. Tell me, dar’manda, who are you?”

Now, what happened next wasn't exactly what Mirage had planned on doing, but something inside of her had sparked when this Jair walked over.  Deciding to have one last go at her, she lept up as soon as she was in range, only to be shot down by that damn robot that seemed to know nothing besides defending its master.  She would have to get herself one of those things later on.  It certainly seemed useful enough.

Once more, she found herself in a humiliating position.  And this time, in more pain.  The shot had actually hit her.  How does she do that? she asked herself.  She was awestruck at the accuracy that her foe had when in combat.  It seemed she didn't take time to even look at her target or to aim.  She simply shot, and it hit whatever she wanted it to.  This was just ridiculous.  Now, she really was at Jair's mercy...  And that stupid robot of hers...

"No, I don't know exactly who he is...  I wasn't that old when I was taken from him...  And I'm Mirage.  All I know, or remember is that he was part of the GAR..." she answered, getting up carefully so as not to slip again.  She was eye level with Jair as she seemed to inspect her 'opponent'.  This would be a good time to at least see how she reacted to different things.  The air around her once more heated up, but this time Mirage disappeared all together.  "Hi, Jair." she said playfully, waiting for an answer.

Jair raised an eyebrow, and pulled a knife from her belt. She began to inspect her fingernails, flicking the knife lightly beneath them to remove some dirt.  Beneath her helmet, and utterly bored expression had settled onto her face. She wasn’t quite sure who or what this woman or creature was, and she wasn’t entirely keen on finding out. She was surprised to hear the girl could speak Mando, and was related to one. It didn’t make her Jair’s family, but Mando’s tended to have a long-standing, unspoken respect for one another, and they tried not to fight or kill one another when it could be avoided. The universal armor and language was something that signified a Mandalorian. Outsiders were not appreciated when they tried to imitate them, but the Mandos were not above taking those who could truly fight or had a good, strong heart or mind into their folds. Jair wasn’t sure if she could lump this girl in with the imitators, or with the true Mandos. She raised an eyebrow behind her mask at the mention of the girl’s father.

“Impossible,” she snorted, looking less than amused, though her expression was hidden. Her tone betrayed her annoyance. “The only members of the GAR were and are clones. As far as I know, you’re too old to be a daughter to one of them. They age twice as fast as normal humans. Whomever your father was, if he was a clone, would’ve been dead long before now. Unless, of course, you were unfortunate enough to inherit some of his accelerated aging genes, but I have yet to hear of that happening. I don’t even know if it’s possible. You’re dini'la, little girl.” When she disappeared, Jair scoffed, sounding unimpressed. “You can’t hide from the thermal imaging on my HUD. Sorry, but you’re not difficult to track at all. In short, I can see you.”

Mirage sighed, becoming more and more anoyed at the arrogant di'kut that stood in front of her.  She even took the fun out of her mirage act.  She shook her head, finally seeing that this was a woman who either didn't have a lot of fun in her life, or was just flat out crazy.

"Watch what you say about me.  I don't appreciate your comments; they certainly aren't helping us much here.  Now, will you please help me?  I know that he was part of the GAR, regardless of what you say."  Something told her that her father wasn't dead.  She wasn't sure what, but she knew somewhere in her mind he wasn't.  It was as if something was actually blocking off a certain section of memories, like someone didn't want her to be able to remember.

How strange... she thought to herself.  She looked up at the older woman, finally getting a good look at her.  She was in amazing shape; almost as if she'd never had a carb in her life, and never stopped training.  Her robot, on the other hand.  Well, Mirage still hated it.  It seemed to have no brain of it's own whatsoever; it was content with simply following Jair around like a little Sahound on a leash.  "So will you take me?" she asked, looking her straight in the eyes (or she thought she was, seeing as the helmet concealed the woman's actual face).

(Fail post, sorry about that)
