Once a grand cathedral dedicated to the Holy Triumvirate, all that remains now are ruins ever since the religion was rejected strongly in 1823. While the religion is back in favor, the cathedral was never restored. (+3 Defense, +2 Offense)

Days of Sunlight [Mousen and Shieba] [PG-13]

Rosy warily stared at the remains of the cathedral in front of her. It was such a nice day, why did she have to come to this place again? It was creepy and there were dark things inside! Actually, that was probably why she was here again. Training. Training again! Ugh!

"Daaad! Do I have to? I don't really feel like going in there again. Last time was such a desaster!" Rosy flapped her little wings. "You know Mom will be mad as well!"

Gemas glanced at his daughter. "She will only be upset if you tell her again that I've been forcing you through cruel exercises - which I ask you not to do again, please. You need to know how to control your powers or you might accidently hurt someone one day and you don't want that, do you? I do have to make sure this does not happen."

"Yeah, yeah." Rosy sighed. "But if you're too mean to me, I'll tell Mom anyway, so be nice or you'll have to sleep on the floor." Carefully, she entered the old building. It smelled of dirt and decay and really, it was a horrible place to be. At least there was some sunlight falling into the place this time thanks to parts of the roof missing. Hopefully, that also meant there would be no evil spirits about.

Gemas threw his daughter a slightly upset, slightly exasperated look, but said nothing and followed his daughter inside. He knew the place well by now and was sure there was nothing here at this time of the day which could seriously harm his daughter anymore. Rosy had improved a lot, but that also meant her power had grown and she still needed better control. For the sake of his nerves, Gemas hoped she would gain that soon.

"So where are we heading?" Rosy looked around. "I don't want to get my ribbons dirty. If they tear, you'll have to buy me new ones!"

"Why do you have to wear them to training anyway?" Gemas asked. "That makes no sense at all to me if you want to preserve their state."

Rosy scoffed at him. "Really, Dad, men just don't get it. Girls like to look pretty at all times when they leave the house!"

"Your mother is not wearing any ribbons and is still beyond beautiful. I really don't think you need this, my dear." Gemas took the lead for now, moving further into the depths.

"That's just because you're a dork in love when it comes to her." Rosy made sure to follow quickly, not wanting to lose her father in this place.

((Failpost. I apologize. D8))

She didn't want to be here, she didn't want to be headed towards a filthy, tumbledown cathedral. Nor did she want to be stuck with a deranged, still slightly grief stricken, scythe wielding kuhna that talked to crows all the time. To top everything off, she'd fallen in a puddle. Narcissa Noir, one of the last of the great and powerful Noirs, was covered in muddy puddle water. It was humiliating. The young ominous myu reaper took a great pride in her fur, and to have her hard work ruined was more than her temper could stand. Despite the fact a passing shower of rain had washed the worst of the mud away, Narcissa was fuming.

"Oh goody, I've always wanted to see dead grass and ruins. What fun." The myu spat as the two figures came up to the cathedral. "I've been dragged up here against my will, only to almost drown in a puddle deeper than Davy Jones' locker and what do I get? Nothing. It's not like you care, oh no, you're just like; 'We have to get the the cathedral, Sissy. Because it's very important, and it doesn't matter if you, my darling daughter, almost gets killed on the way, so long as we get to the cathedral which I don't know anything about but it's dark and scary and awful, so it has to be important, because dark scary things are always so important!'" It was amusing that she managed to copy the kuhna's tone exactly.

Rexus sighed. He was an oddly coloured kuhna, with unnerving maroon eyes, with an  expression seemed to be a mix of utter exasperation and melancholy "I've never even said anything remotely similar to that, Narcissa. Besides, the puddle wasn't that deep."

After a moment they stepped through the crumbling archways into Lya Point Cathedral. Suddenly it seemed that young Narcissa Noir, wasn't quite as brave as she had been moments before. When she did speak, her voice was hushed. It was odd, considering how interested she was in finding out about the dark  art of Necromancy.

"Are you allright?" Rexus asked her, sounding somewhat awkward.

"Fine, it's just creepy in here. There could be spiders or something." As a general rule, she liked to avoid places that looked dangerous. Especially when they were as creepy as Lya Point.

"Nothing to fear from the dead, unless their bones are rotting away with a delightfully contagious disease."  Of all the things to sound cheerful about, or more cheerful, anyway. Rexus was normally more sombre than a funeral dirge, and he didn't lighten up much even when he was cracking tasteless jokes.

"You're macabre." She paused for a moment. "And that wasn't funny, either."

From somewhere inside the cathedral, Rexus caught the sound of voices. His ears tilted backwards nervously and a paw rest on his scythe, which by some strange quirk of fate had miraculously appeared at his paws. He'd been sure he'd left the darned thing at home. "Sissy-"

"Don't you dare call me that! I hate it!"

"Narsissa, did you hear that? And if that that is a something, then us somethings are no longer nothings, and us somethings may actually end up as nothings if the thing that I heard was a something." He whispered hurriedly from behind a large piece of fallen sandstone. The unfortunate kuhna had a tendency to babble when he was nervous, it was useless to even attempt to understand him. Narcissa's yell had been loud enough to echo through the entire cathedral, it would be near impossible for anything not to have heard the shrill voice. So much for being discreet.

((Fail. x3; <33 And Narcissa does have a habit of rambling, yush. XP;))

(I love Narcissa already. XD)

Gemas whirled around when he heard the voice and, instinctively, let his aura flare. There were few living beings that weren't intimidated or just wanted to plain flee when they felt the aura of the Master of Death and his own was a perfect copy. "Stay behind me", he whispered to Rosy. The normal, dark creatures of this place knew no language so maybe there were just lost travellers looking for a place to rest. But it was just as likely that thieves had found this place to rob the dead of their worldly belongings and not only did Gemas dislike disrespecting the dead, he also was wary of such people.

"Oh man. I knew this would suck! This is so bad! Dad, you must protect me!" Rosy ducked behind a large stone, but then her father actually started to slowly make his way towards the voice they had heard. "W-what are you doing?! Maybe there's a crazy rapist there!"

"It sounded like a girl", Gemas replied with a sigh. "I will not be raped by a girl and neither will you. Follow me, but stay silent."

Rosy inwardly cringed, but silently followed her father. At least they had little to fear with his aura turned on. Rosy didn't mind it, being of his blood, but she knew others who weren't her mother did. "If there's a rapist, I expect you to kick him in the nuts", Rosy mumbled, but only recieved a glance from her father as response.

They were near the entrance area again and no one was in sight. "Maybe they left?" Rosy quitely suggested.

Gemas shook his head. He could feel something, faintly - an aura he had felt before, though it had been some time. He breathed a sigh of relief, wondering if he had managed to startle the Kuhna with his aura again just like during their first meeting. "I can feel your aura, servant of the woman you call Death." He didn't even bother hiding and just walked straight into the direction he could sense the Kuhna.

"W-what?" Rosy hesitated for a moment, then followed. "You know the rapist guy?!"

"He's not a rapist." Gemas sighed. "Though he did break the law before." He was, actually, interested to see what had become of the Kuhna who had summoned his dead love before against the rules - and he wanted to know who was with him. Surely not his master; Gemas couldn't feel an aura powerful enough for that.

"Nope, there's no auras here. Just bones. Yup, bones. Dead bones, very dead bones." Narcissa's attempt at impersonating dead people could have used a little work. She'd been startled to see the two figures coming towards them, she'd been even more surprised that this fluffy purple creature seemed to know her father.

"Quiet, Narcissa. I don't think you make a convincing bone." Rexus said,  stepping out from behind the rubble. "It's nice to see you again, especially after you managed to reduce me to an incoherent mess last time, not that I wasn't an incoherent mess before hand, though." His manner was slightly apprehensive, even though he was certain that the fellox meant no harm, Rexus wasn't sure if he could stand to hear more startling news about the state of his soul.

"If he's going to kill us, can we quit to the running part now? I'm too edgy for small talk, especially if it ends in a gussied-up two-tailed poodle chasing me through the middle of nowhere with murderous intent." Narcissa never meant to sound quite so abrasive, but she always managed it. Being brought up by her Granddad on her late mother's side, she'd inherited alot of his brash attitude toward everything.

"He's not going to kill us. This is... uh, someone who regrettably forgot to tell me his name last time we crossed paths, and that's presumably someone he knows." He turned to Gemas. "That's my daughter, Narcissa. She'd been living with her grandfather." There was sort of half smile on the kuhna's face, to anyone who knew Rexus, he was positively beaming.

Narcissa was more than a little confused, it seemed odd to her that her father should know this fellox and yet be completely ignorant of his name. It just didn't seem right to her. That and there was something distinctly odd about the fellox. Narcissa had always been a great deal more observant than her father, he had more trouble than most picking up the auras of other living things. "What are you?" she asked bluntly, peeking out from behind a fallen pillar. Her ears flicked back and the coin on her collar made an audible clinking noise as it brushed against the pillar.

Gemas listened patiently as always and quickly got the impression that...Rosy would get along very well with Narcissa. Meaning he would end up with a headache at the end of the day.

"Haha, she called you a 'gussied-up two-tailed poodle'!" Rosy chuckled.

Yes, a very big headache.

Gemas nodded at Narcissa. "I am Gemas, companion to the Master of Death of my world - he, who guides souls to the afterlife and sorts them into heaven and hell. The one you call the 'Grim Reaper', though from what I gathered from your father the last time, it is different in the world he is from. In a way, your father and me are...colleagues." His gaze went to Rexus. "You did not tell me you had a daughter. Is her mother the one you summoned the last time we met?"

Rosy was still standing behind her father, but was flapping her wings in excitement and finally decided to stop just standing around. "Hi there!" she beamed at Narcissa. "I'm Rosy! This poodle here is my Dad and don't worry, he won't kill you." She looked at Rexus' scythe. "I hope your father is no rapist, either. Or I'll have to kick him in the nuts. Or have Dad doing it. Anyway...if your Dad is like my Dad, do you have dark powers, too? Dad always drags me into this heap of trash to practice my powers, so I could do with someone understanding that it sucks."

"Rosy, you are rambling", Gemas sighed. Oh, hopefully Narcissa and Rosy wouldn't get along in the end... "I apologize for my daughter. She sometimes forgets her manners."

"You're so boring, Dad! Come on, I can finally meet someone who maybe is a bit like me!" Rosy still beamed at the hiding Narcissa. "Want me to come over so we can talk while our fathers probably have boring buisness stuff to ramble about?"

Had Rexus known what Gemas was thinking, he would have agreed whole heartedly. This was all going to end in a headache, most likely two headaches.

"Oh, er, heh." Suddenly Rexus became rather sheepish. "I would have mentioned my daughter, had I been aware of her existence at the time." Natalia had been so very good at keeping secrets. " Yes, her mother was Natalia."

"I knew you were different, like a crow in a canary cage." Narcissa said, her two tails flicking slightly as she spoke. She was like a cat in that aspect, though a little smaller. Myus were generally small creatures, but Narcissa was small even for a creature as tiny as that. "Really? I've met several Grim reapers, and a few fox reapers, and many bird reapers, and even a lizard reaper. Though, they aren't particularly important at all, infact I stepped on the lizard reaper. He was tiny, smaller than me. He liked peanuts, actually. I've never met anything so hungry in all my life, though, in his defense he was a skeleton." She spoke fast, had she not stopped it would have been impossible to get a word in edge ways.

"Rosy? That's a nice name, and it's nice to meet your poodle, I mean, er dad." She had... Manners? It seemed so, it was odd considering how she acted the ninety-nine percent of the time. "Nah, my father's just a bit of a twit at times. That and he moans incessantly, he's like one of those gray lady ghosts that wail about castles and stuff, 'cept he's black and grey and he ain't no lady that's for sure. Oh, and he snores too, my Aunt Tamorah snores even worse, though. You can hear it from, like, three floors away."

Rexus just shook his head and sighed. He'd given up trying to say anything.

"Dark powers? I don't think so. I mean there's Necromancy-" Narcissa faltered upon catching the look on her father's face. "... But, er, it's not to be touched since Necromancy is messing around with death and therefore Death Herself. That's a family thing though, not a daughter-of-Death's-Reaper- kinda thing. I'd probably be six feet under by now if there I was completely powerless, though."

"I wouldn't worry about it, Narcissa is just as bad, if not worse. I've given up trying to get her to stay quiet, I just lock myself in the library when I want some peace." Rexus felt he hadn't quite nailed this 'parenting' thing. He wasn't sure that most parents locked themselves away to escape their children...

"Yes father, why don't you moan to someone else for a change. I'm sure it'll be a great challenge for you to try and bore a fellow reaper to death."  She stepped out from her hiding place, coming to rest on a large piece of fallen stone. It was better than her being on the ground by far.

"Ah." Gemas nodded. "It must be a great delight for you to see the one you loved so much in your daughter now. I am relieved to know you obviously found someone to care for in the world of the living again, which will hopefully lessen your grief. Shall I take a look at your soul again?" Gemas was interested if this new situation had had a good influence on Rexus, but he would not overstep that boundary again if Rexus did not wish so.

Gemas decided that the daughter had taken the tendency to ramble from her father and had to concentrate to listen to Narcissa. Rosy, however, seemed to have no problems following the Myu's train of thought - probably a women-skill, Gemas guessed - and flapped her wings. "Oh wow, that's so cool. We only have Dad's Master as a Grim Reaper, but he has his suobordinates who help shooing the souls into heaven and hell after they are judged. I can't really imagine death being a woman, though. It's just the opposite of life to us. Or so Dad tells me all the time. Again and again."

"Haha, you guys are so funny. My Mom told me about your aunt Tamorah, she met her here. Your aunt called Dad 'pink'. Well, I guess he's more red than pink, but there's definitely pink in there. Guess that makes him a half-pink poodle."

"Rosy..." Gemas sighed.

"What? Come on, Dad! It's all in good fun. Don't be so serious! It's a daughter's job to joke about her parents sometimes." She turned back to Narcissa. "Yeah, Dad is like that, too. Well, less moaning and more talking about duty, duty, duty and stuff. He managed to corrupt my sister with all his talk already."

Gemas desperately tried to get a word in when Narcissa talked about Necromancy, since he remembered that word from his first meeting with Rexus. When the two females seemed unwilling to let him have a word, he just turned to Rexus. "This is what you used back then, right? What exactly is this power?" He gave Rexus a look. "And I kind of understand. My other daughter, Symona, is so very well-behaved, but Rosy here can be a handful. I don't know from whom she got it; her mother is such a gentle soul after all."

"Yeah, yeah." Rosy snorted before she made her way over to the stone Narcissa was sitting on. "My father is like that, too, you know. Super-boring. Well, I mean, he normally is. Given our fast-growing family, he must be a tiger in the sack or something."

"Rosy!" Gemas hollered, horrified.

"What? I'm just saying!" Rosy grinned under her mask. It was fun to embarrass her father.

Rexus smiled, Gemas was right. Narcissa was a handful, but she'd done a world of good for the kuhna. "Ah, I was hoping you wouldn't ask, actually. I'm not altogether sure if I'd be better of not knowing." The first time had been different, it wasn't exactly a trivial thing, but it was less important for him to know.

"It's something of an old wive's tale that the reason Death is a woman is because no man could ever be cruel enough, funnily enough it's the same with Fate too. It's all just a load of nonsense though, Death Herself is Death Herself because she just is, I guess. I don't think she likes me that much though, she says I'm too curious for my own good. Curiosity killed the cat as they say. Father always tells me off for asking so many questions around her, I don't know how he doesn't ask questions actually. He's so boring and stayed, he never does anything different." If Rexus was good a rambling, Narcissa was fantastic. "Aunt Tamorah's pretty cool, she's usually busy stopping Rubius from doing anything stupid, though. Technically he's my Uncle Rubius, but he says it makes him sound old, so he prefers Rubius."

Rexus had been hoping that that question wouldn't rear it's ugly head. No use trying to wriggle out of this one now. "Necromancy at it's best is... Well, Necromancy doesn't have a best. It varies from being perfectly simple magic such as reanimating corpses and skeletons to summoning a soul from the afterlife. There's other things Necromancy can be used for, and many were under the impression it was the key to eternal life, but it's fooling around with Death Herself. The very mention of it sends most people running for the hills, and the practice of it is forbidden. Unfortunately, the taint of Necromancy tends to run in the blood..." He cast a look at Narcissa who grinned sheepishly.

((Sorry it's short, I'm supposed to be walking the dogs soon and I wanted to get it finished <33))

"Hm." Gemas hesitated for a second and nodded then. "How very interesting. Most mortals would give a lot to know where their position between black and white is at the moment. Little do they know that knowing taints the heart, as it makes struggling for the white side harder, since good deeds then only happen for that reason and not for themselves anymore. Your choice is wise, I will respect it, though it would interest me."

Rosy heard her father ramble about duty-things again and quickly just concentrated on Narcissa and her tale. "Well, in Dad's world, the Creator of All is a woman, too, but she's kinda good and evil at the same time. But Dad says she likes to hit people with a shovel. So I suppose she can be cruel as well. Our Grim Reaper is basically like Dad in human form. So he's boring. And I kinda understand you wanting to ask questions, though I myself wish I wouldn't have to deal with all the death crap. I just wanna live with Mom and Dad and my sister and not have Dad leave all the time for work or have to train all this shit." Rosy smiled. "Sounds like an awesome aunt and uncle! I have an aunt, too, and we get along okay, but she's totally snooty and has a terribly screeching voice."

When she noticed Narcissa listening to Rexus talking about Necromancy, Rosy quickly focused on the conversation between the two males again. Oh dear. She saw her father starting to say something. "Dad! Shut uuuuuup!" she yelled. When her father gave her a surprised look, she snorted. "Come on, you were just about to go into an endless rant about 'how the border is not to be breached' and 'how the rules are not to be broken' and blah, blah, blah."

Gemas nodded curtly. "So I was. This is a horrible art of magic and we can be glad that we do not have it in my world. To think that something like that even exists! It taints the concept of life and death and with it the creation itself and with it the Creator of All!"

"Blah, blah." Rosy rolled her eyes. "Sorry about my Dad ranting. He's good at it when it's about the rules. Just ignore him, your world is probably totally different and so he just should not care, but he just loves his boring crap."

"So that's what the small print says, then?" Rexus asked, his attempt at a joke about as funny as a funeral. It was a good thing that he was a reaper rather than a comedian.

Narcissa sighed, choosing to ignore her father, "A shovel? Really?! That's so cool! I wish Fate Herself would hit people with shovels, it would make the council a whole lot livelier. I'd like to find out more about death, proper death though. I mean I know Death Herself takes the soul somewhere... But where? There are so many legends about it, some say that she takes you to a place to be judged by a Fate we never see, some people say that it's Death Herself that judges you, or even Fate Herself. Father doesn't even know. I wish I had proper powers, the only thing I have is Necromancy and I'm not allowed to touch it. Not even to make the skeletons of dead mice run around the kitchen." As alike as they were, it seemed that Narcissa's and Rosy's opinions differed when it came to death. "I bet her voice isn't worse that Rubius's singing voice. He likes to randomly burst into song, and he can't sing a single note in tune."

"Well," Said Rexus quietly. "It does make things rather interesting." He wouldn't get into a debate with Gemas. Necromancy had practically ruined his life or atleast a good portion of it, and almost ruined Natalia's afterlife.

"Don't worry, Rosy,  I get basically the same thing daily. I think my dad tries to blame me for everything that goes wrong in our house. Like it was my fault he found all those, er, bones in my room, and the prayer candles... Heh."

Rexus wasn't amused. "Yes, and I suppose all those Grimoires I told you not to take out of the library magically transported themselves into your room too. Not to mention the ash." He just hoped that Gemas didn't pay much attention to the remnants of his summoning.

It was doubtful if it was thanks to Rexus' strange humor or Gemas' incompetence to even understand normal humor most of the time, but the Fellox just blinked confused. "The Book of Sin lists the sins indeed in print for me and those of my blood. If you wish me to look at it to see if your former sins are listed there, I must disappoint you. You, as someone not of my world, will not have a page in it." Gemas obviously was confused how the situation had gotten to that topic.

Rosy just snorted. "Don't try jokes with Dad. He doesn't get them", she advised Rexus before turning back to Narcissa. "And I wish I could hit people with a shovel, too. But yeah, what Dad said is how it's in our world. Dad does the 'judging' in his place, Elysium. Well, he doesn't really judge, he just looks in his book if the mortal totally screwed up or not and then sends the soul either up or down. You guys must have a mad confusing system if there are so many people involved. Like, fates and stuff. Dad has his subordinates, but he does most of the stuff alone because he believes there's less room for error if documents don't get shuffled around. Boooring office crap and all that." She laughed. "I'd gladly give you my powers, really. I'm sick of all the training and getting dragged around to scary places to reap souls. My older sister is already helping Dad, I have no interest in this stuff. But...I don't think anyone of us could make dead mice run around anywhere. That's kinda creepy."

"Creepy and wrong." Gemas looked from his daughter to Rexus. "'Interesting' is not the term I would have used at all." His voice was stern. "Magic like that corrupts the soul. Not only does it breach the border, it also sounds like an art for the sake of power. The amount of sin it would load upon your soul is immense."

"What are you doing with the bones and the ash and the stuff?" Rosy had stopped listening to her father's ramblings again; it was always the same anyway. "I don't need any kind of spellbook for my powers, they sometimes even activate without me wanting to, so I'm curious."

"As am I." Gemas watched Narcissa out of the corner of his eye. "What you do would not also involve, say, stone bowls and salt?" His gaze darted back to Rexus; Gemas remembered the old summoning all too well, after all.

I know my dreams are made of you
Of you and only for you
Your ocean pulls me under
Your voice tears me asunder
Love me before the last petal falls

However cold the wind and rain
I'll be there to ease your pain
However cruel the mirrors of sin
Remember beauty is found within

Re: Days of Sunlight [Mousen and Shieba] [PG-13]

"Oh, er, I would worry about it. No one ever understands my jokes." Rexus said sheepishly, shrugging his shoulders slightly.

"It's like those... Greek gods? Like there's a main one, and a few others. Technically very few are supposed to be involved with dead, I think, but no one really knows, you see. I think the whole world was made to confuse people, that or it's just one big practical joke." A practical joke that not many people found funny. "It sounds so exiting! I'd love to reap souls! I can understand why you don't like it, but it sounds so fascinating! It's not the mice themselves, they've already gone. I just used to borrow their skeletons, it's all for show really."

Rexus sighed inaudibly. "Death has always been right about Necromancy. She believes the same as you do, basically. That's why there are so few Noirs left, I guess."

Narcissa suddenly looked a little uncomfortable. "Well, they were confiscated and buried, but before that I was kinda looking though my father's old Grimoires just for background research."

"They were never my Grimoires in the first place. I'd have burnt the lot of them if they didn't have such an aversion to flames." Rexus growled. "Why is it that you have to be so curious about Necromancy, Narcissa? It's forbidden and it'll be the death of you if you don't leave it alone, isn't that all you need to know?" Suddenly, Rexus was looking rather forlorn. It seemed that he was having more trouble with Narcissa than he originally let on.

"Of course not. Do I look like my soul has been cast into the bowels of hell? That's what most summoners get, I'm curious not stupid."

"You could make the best joke in the world and Dad wouldn't get it, really." Rosy grinned when her father just sighed. "Which is why it's so much fun to tease him. He sometimes doesn't even notice I'm doing it, though he's getting better at spotting it." She got half a glare for that, but ignored that like she usually did.

Rosy blinked. "What's a 'Greek'? Is that a thing from your world? Is that like leek? Well, probably not. Gods made of leek would be really weird, but if your world is so confusing, it would maybe even fit?" She thought about it. "Reaping souls is like...you see the soul and how it wants to leave the body and you just cut that bond. You can't do it if the soul hasn't half left already, though. It's just like something hanging on a thin thread and you cut that last bit and then you send the soul off to Elysium. Which I suck at. I can cut, yeah, but Dad has to do the sending for me so far. It's not doing anything to the body, really, which is why I can't get dancing mice. Not that I'd want to. Really, skeletons are scary. They probably wouldn't look cute even with ribbons."

"It is good to know your superior has a correct system of sins and balance then." Gemas was certainly glad to hear it. "All the more reason to take care of your daughter correctly. I don't like how she sees these things."

"Dad's being boring again, don't mind him", Rosy quickly told Narcissa. "Though I find that rather creepy as well. I mean, we have a lot of forbidden stuff at our Chateau though. A full library of magic books. But I'm not touching the dangerous ones."

"It is good to hear you are paying at least some respect to my rules", Gemas sighed. Then he looked at Rexus. "Do you wish me to look at the soul of your daughter? It sounds like she might have been tainted by sin already, especially through that dark art."

Narcissa just shrugged. "I read it in a book somewhere... Like, there's a whole pantheon of gods that rule over different things. That's what my home is like, in a way. I'm not sure if they were made of leek though..." It all seemed rather silly to her, the Greek gods. What she remembered about them was rather limited, weren't they all inbred or something? "That sounds fascinating, I mean, I can sometimes see souls, but I can't actually do anything about them, it's like trying to catch fog."

"As correct as anything can ever be in my realm, I guess." Rexus sighed, Narcissa seemed to be determined to become more and more of a problem. "I don't like how she sees these things, either. She's driving going to drive me to lunacy."

"Not that you're already insane, or anything." Narcissa snorted, giving her father her widest smile. "It's allright, Rosy, I don't mind. I'm looking forward to finding out what's actually wrong with Necromancy, sure it taints the soul or whatever and it's 'forbidden' but I've never been told what's exactly wrong with it." That was the thing that had been bugging Narcissa, in her mind no one had ever told her what was so bad about it, exactly. "I'm just reading them, I was once told that it's not the knowledge you have, but how you use that knowledge. Isn't that right, father?"

Rexus muttered something inaudible, glowering at his daughter. "Oh? Right. I'm not the one you have to worry about, not anymore anyway." There was a touch of bitterness in his voice as he spoke, though it was only very slight. Whatever he was bitter about, it didn't seem to be aimed at Gemas. "Personally, I'd prefer if you asked her. It doesn't seem quite ethical to look at someone's soul without their consent." No wonder Narcissa was so unruly, poor Rexus was a complete push-over.

(Oh god, Mousen, dear, what possessed you to use that font everywhere? It's so damn hard to read! D8)

"Rule over different things? Like what? Dad's world has just the light god, the dark god and the Masters of Life and Death. That's not all that much, I think. I mean, what else could rule gods over that would make sense? Especially when they are made of leek." It was hard for Rosy to imagine Narcissa's world. Heck, it was hard to imagine the world of her father, even, since she had never seen anything but Evelon. All these other worlds just confused her. "Yeah, souls are a bit like fog, but that's just because that when they're out of the body, they try to leave for the afterlife at once. They can't linger here."

Gemas watched Narcissa. "I see your point indeed. Is it not your duty, as her father, to intervene then?" There was a slight, sharp tone in Gemas' voice. He had seen how indecisive and shy the Kuhna had been before, he had little doubt someone like Narcissa was was over Rexus' head. "It would be for her best, after all."

Rosy was about to answer, but Gemas cut in pretty curtly. "I can tell you exactly what is wrong with this Necromancy you seem to fancy so much." Rosy cringed a bit; her father was not in a good mood right now. "You, as daughter to someone sending souls should know! There is a border between life and death which is not to be broken! Not only does doing so damage creation itself and is a great offense to the Creator who determined life and death should be separated. No, souls which get ripped from the afterlife and forced into the material plane again get damaged and dimished! They lose their light and their individuality!"

Gemas threw a sharp look at Rexus. No, he was definitely not in a good mood anymore. "Your daughter is obviously not right in the head and corrupted by dark arts. As such, her decision is of no worth and I am asking you, as the one in charge of her!"

"Wow, Dad, calm down!" Rosy flapped her wings nervously. It was rare to see her normally so calm and stoic father enraged, though he still wasn't yelling. "I dunno what you did", she murmured to Narcissa, though Gemas could still hear her, "but he's pretty pissed at you right now. He rarely is, I dunno how to deal with that without Mom. I've only seen him like that twice and each time, Mom came in and went all 'Calm down, honey, that's not productive but rather hot and I want you in the bedroom, wink, wink, nudge, nudge.'"

"Rosy! You are obviously not understanding the situation at all!" Gemas hollered and Rosy winced, but still winked at Narcissa. It was better if her father concentrated on her instead of the Myu, after all.
