"Hmmm. That will work." Abyss nodded. "We'll have to catch some animal that's fallen down here. Maybe a rat. If we are lucky a rabbit. Just don't take on anything you can't kill."

"I can't kill anything!" T'launya walked into the dark room. "I eat plants, roots, and berries. I don't believe in killing." T'launya stared hard at the roots hanging from the tunnel ceiling. None of these looked familiar.

"Well you'll find plenty of roots. Just pick something out." Abyss walked slowly towards the corner of the room. He soon smelled rat. "Don't look."

T'Launya decide to use the now blank scroll and a dark root to write a small food quide.:
Brown Root-Name:bitter-root Discription-bitter Location- Room of rest
Pink Root- Name: Sweet root Discription- Sweet Location- Room of rest.
T'launya looked over her work and smiled. She might just be able to do this. She might be able to live here.

Abyss saw T'launya writing on the scroll, but said nothing. He sunk his teeth into the tender flesh of a mouse. At least she wasn't crying. What would Abyss do if she started crying? Nothing.

T'launya smiled at her work, again. She looked up and smiled at Abyss. She could and would never imagine him as a killer. He was good. He helped her. She loved him.

"You should get some sleep." Abyss slowly walked toward T'launya. "Tommorrow may be a long day. Tommorow we will find are way out. I don't want to be down here anymore. I want to leave."

T'launya nodded her head slowly. She laid down and shut her drowsy eye. Just before falling asleep she rolled the scroll onto the floor. She still remembered what she had written last:
Their is hope to those that believe.
She now understood how the scrolls got there. Experience.

Abyss couldn't help himself. He walked over to T'launya and wrapped his dragon-like body around her sahound body. "We will get out." He had made a promise. Soon he awoke and decided to wake up T'lanya. "Get up. Is that light...?"

T'launya shook herself awake. There was light! Just at the end of the tunnel. T'launya scurried out of the tunnel. Daylight! Where was she? She knew instantly. She had entered Whisper Woods.
