Once a grand cathedral dedicated to the Holy Triumvirate, all that remains now are ruins ever since the religion was rejected strongly in 1823. While the religion is back in favor, the cathedral was never restored. (+3 Defense, +2 Offense)

A bright light interrupted the dark halls of the great building. The hall had statues lined up on both sides with once great warriors, males that once protected the human realm. Chumani was in her human form her raven colored hair was in a French braid that trailed down her back. Her black shitkickers made a sound as they touched the marble floor. The sound bounced off the walls, making an echo in the hall, the only sound that was in the empty temple. She slowly walked down the quiet white hall looking at each statue recalling each of their names and stories. The Avatians regarded them as heroes, heroes that fought against their enemies, the Delatians. As the hall ended, she walked up to one of the statues. The male was wearing Doric chiton that had an Avatian symbol fibulae pinned on his right shoulder. In his left hand, he held a large shield that protected the front of his body and in his right hand held a wicked looking spear. His name was Magnar, the Avatian that kill one of the most powerful Delatians. The colored statues looked real, as if it was a breathing person. Chumani lifted up her hand to touch the statue but pause, it look like he would move any moment. She laughed at that thought and touched the statue. She gave a sad sigh at the cold marble statue and removed her hand immediately. The Harimau stepped back and looked at Magnar; it was as if the sculpture had captured his every essence. The only living-breathing creatures that walk these halls was her and her sisters. Chumani turned towards the two large wooden doors.

Each of the doors had scroll cravings embedded on them. Her people were artistic; they work magic when it came to art. She had to smile at that thought. Chumani placed both her hands on the doors and pushed them open. Both doors made an unnatural sound as if angry at being open. The large room was breathtakingly beautiful with maroon colored walls; gold Avatian symbols were inscribe in the walls, making the room come to life. She looked around the room, Chumani noticed that all the curtains on all the windows was pulled back to welcome the morning sun. One of her sisters must have be here not too long ago. It was weird for Chumani to come to Vekla without one of her sister coming with her. This realm once housed the race of Avatians; the guardians that help keep the world balance. There were rumors that spread like wild fire across the supernatural world of how the Avatians died. Some of these rumors seemed plausible while other seemed to farfetched even in the supernatural world. She wasn’t surprise by the rumors, when a powerful race that was created by source gods mysteriously dies off, people would say anything. There was no one to stop them from spreading these rumors, plausible or not. Either she or her sisters knew what really happened to their people and they didn’t know any Avatians that could tell them otherwise. Chumani didn’t care much for that side of her lineage anyways. She did have to admit that it was interesting to hear the rumors people made up.

She made her way with slow strides across the large glossy marble floor of the banquet hall. This room once held great fest for her people. It was a little sad to see no life in this place, which in reality, it really didn’t bother Chumani. She wasn’t even born when this realm once held laughter, happiness, sadness, anger and even war. Chumani stopped in front of the large glossy stone table. She closed her eyes as she imagine the room filled with her people. The males wore Doric chiton with an Aviation symbol fibulae pinned on either side of their shoulders and the females wore the ionic chiton. Their clothing was made of the finest silks and had gold Avatian symbols in sketched on the fabric. They moved around the room as if the day would never end. On the far side of the room, Chumani could hear music playing. Men and women were on a small stage that was for them and their interments. As the musicians played their interments, a small handful of men, women and children danced on the dance floor. On the right side of the dance floor was the banquet table that had the finest foods lined up on the center of the glossy stone table, men, women and children sat on soft cushion chairs that outlined the table. Once everyone sat in the chair, they start to pick up the plates of food and placed cups of the food on the plates that sat in front of them. People starting talking at the table as they passed the food dish to the person next to them. A young child dashed across the room towards the long table with his Irish wolfhound trailing behind him. As the child got to the table, he pushed pass two adults and grabbed a duck leg off one of their plates. The dog wasn’t able to stop on the slippery floor and bumped into the child who dropped the duck leg on the floor. Before the child could pick up the leg, the dog snatched it from the floor and ran off before anyone could stop the dog. The young boy started yelling at his dog and started chasing the dog. This was a happy celebration; they were celebrating the birth of their race. They would never know what their future would hold and the end would come. At that thought, Chumani opened her eyes; the life like images disappeared and a frown appeared on her face.

There will no longer be Avatians that occupy these temple walls. The only Avatians left in this world were her and her sisters and they were half-breeds. The Surya temple was a wasteland, a beautiful one but a wasteland nonetheless. She placed both her palms on top of the polished stone table; her shoulders hunched over with her head down. It took Chumani a minute to gather her thoughts before she grabbed one of the chairs that was nestled under the table. With a deep breath, she pulled out the chair that was decorate in black and gold. An Avatian symbol craved on the back with real gold. Chumani sat down on the soft black cushion with a heavy sigh. This temple was the place she came when she didn’t want to deal with the real world. There was something peaceful and welcoming about this place even if there was no one here to greet her. Chumani bit her lower lip, there was a lot happening in the human realm, it was happening to fast for her to think clearly. The Harimau clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth before place her arms on the table. She crossed her arms and placed her head on top of it.

A bright white light colored the large room making the symbols on the walls glow an eerie yellowish color. Chumani didn’t notice the light since the sunlight camouflaged the white aura. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up. A slight shiver went down the Harimau’s back. Chumani didn’t even brother looking up from where she laid her head. She knew who came to this empty place; this temple was the one place where the unholy creature was born. The female walked across the room towards one of the open windows. She places one of her hands on the window frame, she didn’t speak as looked out the window towards a beckoning garden. The last time she was here the garden was dead, it looks like someone had abandon it centuries ago. It seems like someone had turn their back on something that was once beautiful with no love in their hearts. Once the Avatians died so did the garden within months, the flowers, trees and bushes turned brown and then became dust in the wind. There was no emotion on her face as she continued to look at the lush colorful garden. Someone took the time to remove all the dead plants and added new ones in their place. It had to take years for them to fix it up to it standards now. The scent of lavender, pine and the summer heat invaded her nose. She closed her eyes remembering the time she played in the garden with her siblings as their father watched them. She opened her eyes and turn around to look at Chumani who still had her head on the table.

“Mari, why do you come to this place?” Her soft feminine voice sounded like music. She still sounded young and strong despite her age. The older woman didn’t give Chumani time to answer her question as she continued to speak. “It’s a…” She place her right index finger on her chin as she tried to think of the world that the humans would use. “What would the human call it?” She started tapping her finger on her chin, it was a word that her granddaughters used often when they came here. She dropped her right hand to her side and bit her lower lip as she recalled the word. “Landwaste!” The woman said with excitement. “Yes, why do you continue to come here if it’s a landwaste?” She spoke with a slight smile. Chumani lifted her head up in irritation of the older woman. She couldn’t understand why her grandmother spoke like that. “It’s wasteland, not the other way around.” She spoke between clenched teeth. Her grandmother was trying to speak the human slang but always messed it up. Chumani pondered if she did it on purpose. Andromeda walked slowly around the long table until she stopped a few feet to where Chumani sat. The full-blooded Avatian’s long white flowing robe danced around her feet as she stopped. Chumani eyed her grandmother wondering what she was doing here. Her grandmother had to be up to no good. “You know it’s still a beautiful place even though…” Andromeda was cut off as her granddaughter spoke with venom in her voice. “What the hell are you doing here, Andromeda?” She shrugged her shoulders, not letting her granddaughter’s anger affect her. “Ah, yes I did come here for a reason.” Andromeda placed her right palm on the cold table. “A reason I’m not ready to tell you yet.” The Avatian close her hand in a fist only leaving her right index out. She brushes her index finger across the cold marble table. It was spotless; there was no dust in sight. She wasn’t surprise buy it, her granddaughters came to Vekla quite often, especially when they wanted to escape the human realm.

Andromeda watch her granddaughter with suspicious eyes as she got up from the table she was sitting at. The Avatian knew that her eldest granddaughter hated her for giving birth to an evil creature. It wasn’t her fault that her daughter grows up hating everything, her daughter was angry at the world. Eva only wanted one thing and one thing only and it was to destroy the world. Andromeda did conceive her child with a Delatian, who were a vicious race. They only care for themselves, which surprised her enough that they were willing to have children with each other. Andromeda thought about the day she conceived her only child. Eva’s father didn’t ask her for sex, he forced it from her. Andromeda didn’t have a choice, even though she fought with her life, in the end she lost the battle. It wasn’t uncommon during those days for men to force women to have sex. It happened quite often that it made Andromeda fell dirty afterwards, she spoken to no one about her ordeal. A month after the incident happen, she found out the she was pregnant. Andromeda did what all women did when they were pregnant by their rapist; she gave birth and rise her child as best she could. She shook her head at the memory and looked at Chumani with trouble eyes. Chumani notice something changed in her grandmother's eyes, as if she was trouble by something but it disappeared quickly. The Harimau must have been mistaken, her grandmother had no emotion. Chumani cleared her throat before she spoke in an even tone. “I don’t want to sit here and chat with you. You came here for a reason, so…” Chumani push the heavy chair back. “…What’s the reason?” She pushes herself out the chair. She turns to face her grandmother. Andromeda walked around the room for a moment before speaking. “I thought we can have a friendly conversation before I tell you why I came.” She looked at her granddaughter with the last word, this time Chumani spoke. “If I wanted to talk to you, I would have called for you. I want nothing to do with you or your offspring.” Without looking at Andromeda, Chumani starting walking towards the doors.

Andromeda did not take any offense from her granddaughter's words. It was something she gotten use to when she came out to visit Chumani. It wasn't often but enough that she could brush those kinds of comments aside. It was funny because you would think that Andromeda would be the angry one, since all her granddaughters treated her like crap when she did nothing wrong. She spoke in an upbeat voice. ”Come now Chumani, that offspring is my daughter and your mother, regardless of what happened in the past. I'm not asking you to forgive her for what she has done to you and your sisters but her actions have nothing to do with me. Eva is doing everything on her own with or without my permission.” Andromeda watch as Chumani walked towards the large doors that were wide open, trying to get away from her grandmother. With a wave of her hand the two heavy wooden doors close before Chumani could pass through the opening. Chumani turned around as soon as she saw the doors close in front of her. Her anger came quick and without warning. ”Who the hell do you think you are?” A loud growl came from deep within her throat, she was ready to attack. Andromeda pulled the chair out that Chumani sat on not too long ago. The soft cushion getting pushed down by her weight. She spoke to answer her granddaughter's question. ”I'm your grandmother and an Avatian. I will not have you walk out on me. I came here for a reason but I also wanted to have a conversation with you.” Andromeda got up from where she sat and pulled out one of the chairs next to her. She sat back down and snapped her fingers on her right hand and Chumani disappeared and reappeared sitting right next to Andromeda. She gave her granddaughter a sideways smile as she watches the shocked reaction on Chumani's face.
