Okay, this was not working out the way he'd hoped it would.  Diddidu's fur stood on end as the femme still refused to greet him.

You are not qualified to question me, fae.

He was rather irritated, and more than slightly defensive.  You know what?  Civility can go fall in hole.  This Kuhna clearly wasn't willing to adopt a civilized manner, so he may as well scrap his.

I come from my Pen, but I have no wish to take you there.

He was getting riled up.  Sticks would have been disappointed in him, but he disregarded the thought with a flick of one ear.  He was out of patience.  My, what a short rope he has.

[Rushfeather]

''You're another one of those pets that come from Pens. Get away! I left mine because I didn't want to be ordered by one of those trainer.''

Satou weren't sure if she should run or continue to argue with him. If they really wanted to have her back they'd have to do more than that.

''I hate being given orders''


Fireskull was walking not far and she was walking toward them. She had heard that Rushfeather had adopted a new pet and that she ran away. She was there to look for her.


When Satou saw her she said: ''What? Another one?''

Okay, now this...this was just weird.

I'M NOT HERE TO TAKE YOU BACK TO A PEN!

He was huffing now.  Were all the gears turning inside this little Kuhna's head?

...No, wait.  That wasn't fair.  The sudden thought of Sticks humbled him.  What's her story, he could almost hear her ask.  You only know what she's said to you.  Do you know what others've said to her?

He was about to correct his outburst - well, try, at least.  Easier said than done; Diddidu's temper, when it flared, followed him around like a slug's trail.

He opened his muzzle to apologive, but was caught off-guard once again by the femme's abrupt, rude speech.

Another one?  I'm being classified as a 'one'!?

You know what?  This femme could go die in a hole.  So could her little friend, actually.  They thought their life was so tough?  Pshh.  If he hadn't been so determined to gain the she-Kuhna's...well, anything other than what she'd shown him so far, really.  The moment he pinched an ounce of respect out of her, he was gone.  But he wouldn't be eaten, oh no.  He wouldn't be dismissed by this brusque fae.  He'd make sure his point got across, then leave her with her jaw hanging so far open she could swallow a hive of bees.  In fact, he rather hoped she would.

For now, he would listen.

Fireskull had stopped not far from where Diddidu were standing. 'Seems like she isn't really friendly... But Rushfeather want me to talk with her, and make her understand that we don't want to hurt her' She though. ''I there, sorry if I'm disturbing you.''

Satou had take another step back before talking. ''You're a friend of him too? Get away! Both of you.'' She said angrily.

The poor mascu blinked in exasperation.  He turned to the newcomer, a brow raised in skepticism.  At least this one wasn't being hostile.

Disturbing?  Nah.  In fact, you may be my savior.  Are you here to take this little devil back to her wretched pen?

He hoped so.  Oh, he hoped so.  Then she'd definitely qualify as a friend.  Without a doubt.

Satou was backing away. She didn't want to fight against the two of them. '' Nobody will take me back there.'' She was reasy turn, and ran away.

Fireskull could understand her a little. 'It must be difficult for her to have a trainer when she has lived alone until now' she thought. ''I won't take you back by force. Rushfeather was worried about you. We want to be you're friends.''

'Friends?' She though 'or more like slave?'. Satou was ready to run but, she wanted to make sure that they won't go after her before leaving.

Diddidu had no wish to do anything but observe these two femmes.  He offered no comment, which was rare for a party animal such as himself, but instead restrained himself to listening.  What was it Sticks had said many, many times?  Oh yes.

You have two ears and one mouth.  Use your brain.

Fireskull could see that the little kuhna didn't want  to be given orders. ''Don't worry Rushfeather isn't the type to give orders, he let me go where I want, and do what I want.''

Satou couldn't believe what Fireskull was saying. ''You're lying!'' She said. ''I know you're lying.''

''No I'm not.'' Fireskull replied. ''If you would, at least, have stay for two or three days, you could have understand that He is a good person.''

Sekhet

"Now, children. Don't quarrel," came tones sibilant and mocking. It was the sound of silk dragged carelessly over bare floorboards, smooth and more suited for hushed and reverent tones, yet dark and somehow full of desire consequence. Pale eyes gleamed in the murk as bright as twin shuttered lanterns, yet even their brief luminous light quailed in the wake of the ivory, toothy grin that flashed from the darkness.

It brimmed with madness enough to instill pride in the breast of the Cheshire cat. Perhaps even more disturbingly, the voice came from above--a single rocky outcrop graced the length of the ruins of the cathedral, and it was there that the female by the name of Sekhet lounged, tail draped carelessly over the very edge of oblivion.

She had kept her peace as those below her spoke, a smirk of private amusement curving across her lips. It was only now that she stirred from the murk, lightly leaping downwards until she drew level to them at last.

"A pleasure to meet you," she purred, though her eyes sparked with faint insincere sentiment. "You'll wake the bones that ought to stay buried if you simply let your tempers get the better of you."

She paused to watch a paw in a careless fashion. "Apologies," she said coolly. "I hope I didn't frighten you." Again the peculiar flash in her eyes. "I am Sekhet."

A sly sidelong glance towards Satou. "Watch your tongue, you fiery femme. You're far too quick to dismiss potential companions."

[I just sort of...jumped in. Hopefully this isn't an issue for anyone, but I'll be more than happy to edit/remove my post if it is.]

Satou jumped back in surprised when she heard Sekhet's voice. she knew that she couldn't possibly win a fight against the three of them, and she also knew that she could get lost easily in those ruins.

Fireskull looked at her and waitfor her to finnish talking. "Hi, I'm Fireskull, and this is Satou.''  She said pointing at the little kuhna.

Sekhet

Sekhet merely regarded the retreating form of Satou with an exasperated expression, giving a barely perceptible shake of her head. It was clear that the female was far too desperate for a means of escape to focus on whatever words of wisdom one might have to bestow upon her. Sitting down the now fastidiously clean appendage, she gave her left ear a backwards twitch as Fireskull spoke.

In an other creature, the gesture might have been considered dismissive. For her, however, it was merely a gesture of open curiosity--a slight invitation to continue. Her head turned as she fixed her gaze steadily on Fireskull, tail lifting and falling back to the earth in a rhythmic fashion as she regarded the other Draculi.

"Hello," she said once more, tones slightly less mocking and more welcoming now that she had one of her own kind in her presence. Her gaze flicked briefly back again on Satou. "Ah, the timid mouse. Well, then, Satou. I wouldn't back away anymore if I were you. No one here is attempting to force you into anything-not yet, anyway. And if you continue to carry on so, you'll be not only alone...but lost."

A satisfied smirk at this. "And I doubt you'd like to be cast adrift here, on your own, at all." A sigh. "Why don't we show you the way out, if nothing else, since you're so determined to leave?"

[Rushfeather]

Fireskull waited until Sekhet had finnished. '' She is right, no one is forcing you but, you could at least stay at our Pen for a few days. After you could choose if you want to stay or leave. The first time Rushfeather has brought me here, I wasn't sure if it was a good idea either but, you can be sure that now, I really want to continue living like this."


Satou '' I... I'm not sure..." She was calmer now but, she wasn't sure if it was better to live alone, like she had done all her life, or if it was better to go with Fireskull. "Maybe it can be ok if I try for a few days..."

Sekhet

"It really isn't all bad," Sekhet admitted in slightly grudging tones. "And most trainers allow us some type of freedom. You wouldn't be giving it up altogether." It was peculiar for her to be speaking so--free of haughty or superior tones, or tones running dark with mischief. But she was glad to see that Satou had calmed somewhat.

"A few  days is all you'll need to decide," she added with a slight narrowing of her eyes. She knew better than most that the life of a 'pet' was not for all. Some took to it, and others not at all. It depended on wills--and whose would eventually win out.

She noted then that the other male Kuhna had been rather silent through the entire exchange. She graced him with a gaze for a moment, before rising to her feet once more and giving her small and folded wings along her back a shake.

"If everything is decided, then..." A nimble skyward leap drew her to another overhang, though lower and still level with those on the ground. "I have mischief to manage. Or exploration, if nothing else."

[Rushfeather]

Satou began to walk toward Fireskull. When Satou was beside her, Fireskullbegan to walk away, and then looked at the other two. "Thank you." She said, before walking off again, with Satou just behind her.

After a few seconds, Fireskull and Satou started to run, leaving the ruins behind them.
