Tripp smiled at that, letting out a small chuckle. He couldn't imagine why anyone would try to hurt Louise; she was gentle and kind, and even though she was fallen, she was about the same level of goodness as a regular angel. Of course, when Tripp thought about it, that in itself was a pretty good reason to hurt Louise. Demons were truly barbaric, weren't they... Tripp glanced at Louise, wondering why she fell in love with a demon. What did she see in him? What could an angel see with a demon? It was mind boggling, and it also gave Tripp an irritating chest pain.
Tripp shrugged in answer to Louise's question. "Probably the same dogmatic junk they preach everywhere. It's painfully ironic that places of worship can be such a breeding ground for goodness and evil. A lot of demons I know really love frequenting cathedrals like this. All the greed and guilt does good things for a demon's soul. For some demons, anyway." Tripp blinked, realizing that he had rambled on again. "Sorry, was that too harsh?"
