Once a grand cathedral dedicated to the Holy Triumvirate, all that remains now are ruins ever since the religion was rejected strongly in 1823. While the religion is back in favor, the cathedral was never restored. (+3 Defense, +2 Offense)

Return to Lya Pointa Cathedral

When Seeking Intelligence... [Private]

Not only had he been dragged here without his agreement, but he had to hang around this place alone, too. Although Drualdwar's company didn't bother him, the other two pets were the ones who had disturbed his mind. There was enough that he couldn't sleep anywhere, he wasn't in the mood for dealing with other people's problems. If Aldwar wanted to deal with them because she was "softer" than he was, then it was her problem, not his.

Still, the reason why he had come here. He wanted to remember his past, he wanted to know the dark secrets behind his earlier days. Since the cathedral had sort of called to him, he figured that staying here would be the best thing to do, but he wasn't really interested in doing so. He liked dark places, yes, but bah... he wasn't very interested in exploring such a place, when it could barely hold itself together.

Ugh. Drowsiness. Sickness. He fell to the ground, coughing. He suddenly felt dizzy, but luckily, the symptoms disappeared shortly after the dizziness. He hadn't slept in weeks -- he figured it wasn't surprised that his system was starting to act up against his own wishes. He knew of his health problems, but still, he continued to deny them. If anyone would learn of them, he would never be accepted. Not like it mattered, either way. But still. He simply did not want those things.

"Senervel... who are you... what do you have to do with me..." he called to no one in particular, mostly to the still and silent air around him. Why did he know that Lucain? He simply wanted an answer...

Saying that she had no reason to come here would have been a flat out lie. Ferimia or, as she preferred, Faire was here on one of her escapades of knowledge. It was her obsession, her passion. She wanted to know about everything in this world. Everything. She was just that dedicated to it, almost to a frightening point. She was a little bookworm, if someone wanted to describe her. Which was a strange thing, since she was out here in a place of darkness all be her lonesome. It seemed rather dangerous for an innocent female, such as herself. She had nothing to defend herself if she was attacked, certainly she didn't. How could someone like her defend herself? She was just a smaller then average female Kuhna, wearing glasses, none the less.

Scattered all around her were various small books and papers. Her nose was stuck in a book most of the time, then switching to skillfully jot some notes down on a tablet of paper. Hidden away somewhere deeper was a makeshift camp. She planned to stay here for a few days in secret to study. What was her subject? Oh, she'd never breath a word of it.

The feline had her nose in her book when her ears perked to a thump and she let out a soft squeak from the sudden noise. She was weary, but suddenly curious. Depending on who and what it was, she could possibly gain more for her endless research. So she peeked over one of the fallen stone pillars that hid her from direct view. Oh, it was a Doom Kitty. How boring. She already knew a creature of that species that was a willing subject to study. None the less, she rather liked the company of such.

And then she heard words. "The Slit Killer, Senervel?" she asked suddenly, her voice a whisper that echoed surprisingly loud in the empty building. She wasn't able to help herself.

Walking, walking, walking... That's all he had been doing for hours now. However, his "walk" was interrupted by the soft-spoken words of an unknown pet. Alerted right away, the ears of the Doom Kitty pricked, his tail fluffed its fur, and his neck fur started bristling madly. The small switchblade that was hanging from his back collar opened itself, the shining blade glimmering with the very little light that was present out here. His pitch-black paw-gloves were almost impossible to spot in this dark environment, and they left no prints either. The bandage that was tightly wrapped around his left foreleg was old and dirty, but it held on. The Doom Kitty also had a torn ear, which he got from his past, most likely... but he didn't know how.

He sniffed his surroundings, first of all things. A scent... a Kuhna... a female Kuhna... in such a place? No way. Why would a female Kuhna come to this place? How odd. But truthfully, he didn't care at all. When did he ever care for someone other than his own soul? Not often, if never.

He spotted the small face, most of her body hidden behind a rock. What she was doing didn't matter; but what she had said got his attention. "The... Slit Killer..." he echoed, gritting his teeth, his ears flattening against the back of his black head. "Senervel... What do you know of him?" he hissed, approaching Ferimia slowly, his claws not unsheathed yet. "Are you.... one of his!?" he snapped, baring his razor-sharp fangs. He had never... been the kind and polite type. But would this Kuhna happen to be one of his allies, he would make sure to make her talk, then suffer, then maybe talk a little more, and then he would kill her. No ally of Senervel would live. None.

From behind her partial shelter, she watched the Doom Kitty, male obviously, soundless approach. Her face displayed not an emotion. All that was there was to look at was the indifference and the knowledge that reflected in her eyes. It was when he snapped that she let out a soft squeak, not expecting it and letting her skittishly shy nerves get a hold of her before she had a chance to tie them down. In her motion, her glasses fell from her nose onto the fallen pillar and one of the lenses snapped out. She looked at them and glared back the the dark pelted feline.
"No, I'm not." She said hotly. Letting her strange pride get the better of her, she jumped up onto the pillar to stare back at him. [b]"With your temper, I see no reason to tell you a thing." she pointed out. "No reason to tell you the secrets I work to get."

With his temper? HIS temper? Who did Ferimia think she was, insulting him with such words? What with the squeal she let out before actually showing some courage, she didn't look like those kind of pets who was all right with fighting and killing. Her big words weren't going to match her skills, he was sure of it. Personally, he thought she'd better watch her words before speaking. "You impudent little pest," he hissed, stepping forward, his claws revealing themselves through his gloves. "If I were you, I'd watch my words before speaking!" he snapped and without any warning bounced at her, clearly aiming to harm Faire for her "rudeness." He wasn't going to let anyone speak to him with such a tone.

"Yes, your temper." She confirmed for him, reading into his thoughts as he approached. She couldn't read minds, but it was as obvious as the difference between day and night to her. She watched his claws appear from the gloves, calculating something. Right away gathering information on him, this general type of character. He was violent, he'd attack. She didn't expect it, exactly, but she was right in that.

When he attacked her, he knocked her off the pillar to land among the scattered books and the papers she was working with. The loose papers flew everywhere as she landed with a painful thud.  Her breath was knocked out of her momentarily. Growling, though, the Kuhna took the hit and skillfully snatched one of the hardcover books to hit him upside the head with. "Get off me!" She howled, barring her teeth. She still had teeth and claws like all other Kuhna. She may have been physically weaker, but she couldn't let him get the best of her.  "I did nothing to you!"

Success. He had managed to get onto her, the pillar behind which she was hiding getting out of his way easily. The scattered papers flew around as he landed, as it was to be expect, and so did a few books. They were most likely her "works," but he didn't care about those sheets of papers. His only target was the Kuh...

"Shhhh-aaah!" he howled as sudden pain flashed through his body, and the Doom Kitty shook his head around, a headache starting up because of the hit. Accidently, the switchblade slashed at its owner, scratching the Doom Kitty's cheek. "Shh-gah!" the male screeched again, shaking his head. A headache... darn that Kuhna! Who in the world who hit someone with a book for self-defense? No one that he knew, that was for sure!

Seriously irritated now, he sank his claws into the ground that was beside Ferimia's head, holding her chest with his free paw. Obviously, he had no intention of getting off of her. "If you didn't want trouble... then you should have stayed hidden!" he growled, drawing his head closer to hers. "Why did you open your little mouth if you didn't want trouble, huh?" he asked, keeping his urge to kill to a fairly safe level. The claws of his paw weren't trying to get ahold of the Kuhna's flesh, but the blade of the little pocket knife was getting closer and closer to the female's throat. Besides, was she not the one who had called the name of his nemesis? Why had she tried to attract his attention. "Senervel... tell me what you know... and we might be able to get around this..." he proposed, saying no more and doing no more. He simply waited for an answer.

Though all but helpless, Ferimia stared up at the Doom Kitty with narrow eyes, not fidgeting. She seemed to succeed in some damage, if only a little. But her book, her poor book! At least it served her well. She glanced at the paw that clawed into the ground beside her, then at the blade around his neck before back to him. The choices the choices. Would she keep the secrets of her study, even if it meant death? More then likely. She was that weird enough.
From here, she noticed that tattered bandage around his arm and began thinking. Stupid move or no, she moved one of her clawed paws around the area. Not to damage, but just to sit there.
"I cannot tell you." She finally decided, her ears going back against her head. "Do you honestly think I'd work for him?" she asked. He'd just pinned her down without a fight. That wasn't someone like Senervel would have on their side. She was weak in that matter. She knew that this other feline wasn't stupid enough not to realize she'd all but be useless to a Lucain like his enemy. "You attack me for saying the Lucain's blasted name! I've just read about him! What's your problem? Just get off!" If he was wise enough to look around, he'd probably see some scribbled notes about the Lucain he was asking about.

He admitted this Kuhna was not the kind to simply let others step on her. Fine, maybe she had some potential, sort of. However, he didn't like those people who tried to boss him around. Being a feline with a chaotic mind to begin with, he wasn't the kind of pet to simply listen to the commands of anyone and everyone. Especially not orders from a female Kuhna he didn't even know to begin with. And not only was she a stranger, she was a stranger with a freaking book. And she had hit him with it, too! He could have suffered from brain damage or something. And his headache was burning up again, too... his vision started getting blurry, which made it hard for him to focus on the female Kuhna at the moment.

But to her question, he replied, "He has an ally of the Kuhna species. Why couldn't you be of use to him, too?" He knew very well the Kuhna named Marble worked with Senervel, in a way or another, so why couldn't this female, Ferimia, be one of his, too? It could very well work.

Surprisingly, he failed to sense or notice the female was clawing at his bandage. Actually, he couldn't sense or see much at the moment. "You spoke his name out loud; anyone could have hea... rd... ...."

The Doom Kitty kept moving his lips, but strangely, no words came out. Realizing he couldn't hear a thing, the other feline stepped back, letting go of the female Kuhna. He lay down nearby, holding his head with his paws. He ignored if it was because of the headache or not, but It was happening again...

"Because I work for no one." she stated it plainly. She worked for no one, would work for no one. No, she had some working for her. She wasn't anything like Senervel that had skills in battle and had others skilled in the art allianced with him. She didn't have the same mentality as this Doom Kitty that would make her constantly threaten someone. She simply led a team who sought out knowledge and recorded it. She could be sneaky and gathering information and detail was her specialty, but she wouldn't work for anyone else. She wouldn't even spill secrets that she gained.
"I just responded to you saying his name."

By the time she got those words out of her mouth, the dark feline was retreating. She layed there a second, trying to figure out why he let her up suddenly. Don't get her wrong, she was glad to be freed, but he wasn't the type to have let her up just then. She rolled to her feet. As unintelligent as some would see the move to be, she approached him. She examined that situation, deciding that he was definitely in pain. Must be the head, obviously. She placed her paws on either side of his head gently.
"What's going on?" she asked softly, trying to figure out if there was a way to help. Oh yea, lets help the guy trying to attack you! Maybe if she helped, he'd forget about attacking her. Maybe it wouldn't happen, but it was worth a shot.

The head. The arms. The legs. The stomach. All of it hurt; his every joints and muscles were hurting him like mad. It had happened again. His sight, his hearing, his sense of touch; every last one of his senses had disappeared into thin air randomly. Why his system would do such a thing, he did not know. But what he did know was that he wasn't going to regain them anytime soon as it was, and the headache was making things even worse.

Obviously, he could hear, feel or see nothing at the moment, and this included Ferimia's response, her question, and her small paws touching his head. He could answer or react to nothing, for he had literally become a shell of his former self. However, despite the lost of senses, his voice would sometimes come back at random times. Trying to at least explain the situation, he meowed, "Sen... s... os..." The words came out as syllables only, or as letters only, which could make it hard for someone to link them together. Of course, the Doom Kitty had no other way to communicate, for he could see nothing but darkness, and even if he would try to write, he wouldn't know what he would be writing, since he couldn't sense a single thing, not even the ground. He could feel, kind of spiritually, Ferimia's presence close to his body, but that was it.

What was going to happen now, and how long were the symptoms going to last? This didn't look good...

The Kuhna's ears perked up to try and catch his voice. It made no true sense. Sense! Was that it? Since he wasn't exactly moving and took on all traits of a rock, save for that attempt at words, she removed her paws from his head and began to prod him gently. She poked him, pulled at his ear and his tail. She got no reaction. Last attempt before she was sure, she licked his forehead and jumped back.... Nope. No reaction. He definitely couldn't move if he didn't snap out at her for that.

She debated over it all, she sighed. He'd attacked her for no legitimate reason, but she didn't have heart enough [or would it be better to say she didn't lack in her heart enough?] to leave him helpless. Besides, he was laying on her notes! Now to figure out what she could do... Did she have knowledge that'd be useful for this? Humm, home remedies for a pain killer or something?

The smaller feline worked to support the other's dead weight, dragging him with some notable difficulty through a hole in one of the stone walls near her now destroyed work set up. On the other side, there was a corridor that was her camp. The original entrance was blocked off from the collapsed of part of the building, it was only to be expected in such a neglected place. The hole they'd passed through was small enough that most dangerous creatures wouldn't find them.
Here, she had even more books piled up, papers, tablets, a small food storage, a first aid kit and plenty of blankets. One would wonder how she got them all here, another secret. She had some useful alliances that were Lucain, just none this Doom Kitty would be interested in.
She left him on a pile on blankets, panting to catch her breath. Her tails flicked as she stared at him. He'd so owe her after this.

Before too long, she set to work, finding a book for her aid. A combination of medicines could be made for a mild numbing concoction. Smashing the ingredients together with water, she lifted the Doom Kitty's head in attempt to safely pour it down his throat. With luck, it'd relieve him.

He could sense that she was moving, he could sense her movements, and he could sense that she was touching him, but obviously he couldn't feel the poke or bite or lick. Not like he thought it mattered, anyway. He couldn't see a thing right now, and these things included that female Kuhna. So all was good, in a way. Wasn't it?

His pelt rubbed against the ground, but the Doom Kitty felt nothing at all. In fact, he couldn't even realize Ferimia was dragging him around the place. But slowly, very slowly, he started sensing something underneath his feet and belly... the ground... was moving? Eh? No... he was being carried? ... By that female Kuhna!?

Too late. Soon enough, he found himself laying on something soft and warm, and he figured maybe these things were fabrics or clothes. Or maybe blankets, or anything of the like. He had no idea where he was now, but he knew it was because of the Kuhna. His sight had still not returned, and his sense of touch had only recovered maybe by half. Only enough for him to feel things a little. His mouth felt numb, so words were still rather impossible for communication. But that wasn't what he was worrying about right now.

That was rather awkward. If he had been left there alone without any senses to survive, anything could have ambushed him and killed him. But Ferimia... for a reason or another, she dragged him around some place, he supposed to save him from danger? No, most likely not. She probably had an idea in mind for doing such a thing. Kindness was a thing that didn't exist in this world, and never would he think this Kuhna would have helped him as a simple sign of "kindness." Hmph.

Now, what was going to truly happen? Oh, wait... he felt his chin raising and...

Gah! What was that disgusting thing she had just poured down his throat!? Eww! He had never tasted something as disgusting as that! What in the world was she trying to do? Poison him? Put him to sleep? Seriously! First, the book, now the strange potion thing! Honestly... "Poin... hat.... s it...!" he managed to mumble, his tongue still refusing to speak apparently...

She had to bite down a laugh. Though this was no laughing matter, she had no idea what exactly was going with this feline so suddenly, it was all rather ironic. And she knew well enough that his alarmed mumbling was because of the unpleasant taste of what she'd just made him drink. Of course he'd be fussy over it. Good thing he wasn't coherent right now. Even if he couldn't hear her, she replied with an absolute type of voice, insisting. "Hush. It's good for you." Not only was it packed with useful vitamins, it would hopefully knock off any of the pain he might have been feeling at make the situation easier. "Just medicine." Oh yea, as if she'd poison him or something. If it was in him to attack her, so be it. She wasn't going to off him while he was down just because he had threatened her. She wasn't killer.

Seeing as he'd be fine here, no one could appear to try and attack him and, as far as she could tell, he'd be alright, Ferimia ventured back out the hole to where she was working before. She had to gather up all of her loose papers that scattered all over the cold floor and stack the books. Little by little, she scurried between there and her official little camp, piling things in their proper places until the only thing she'd left where encountered the Doom Kitty was her glasses.

Peering down at them, she huffed again. Now one of the lenses had popped out. She slipped the frame back onto her face and the lens in her mouth so she could return back to where she'd left Anthony.

His senses were beginning to come back. He could hear a soft, quiet little buzzing in his ears and figured it was most likely Ferimia's voice. Whatever she was saying, he wasn't very interested in it. Even if she had saved him, he didn't feel like he owned her anything... yet.

He coughed a little, the bad taste still in his mouth. His tongue could now distinguish tastes, which was a good sign. His body gradually started to feel things again, and his hearing started getting better, even though he couldn't exactly hear anything just yet. His eyes, however, simply remained asleep, shut down into the world of pitch-black darkness.

A silent sigh. Oh, what was he going to do now? He couldn't do much by now, what with his system deciding to act up like this. Not even his mouth would cooperate with him, which made it very difficult to try and socialize. Argh, this wasn't cool, really...

Even though he couldn't do a thing without breaking everything in his path, the Doom Kitty decided to try and stand. His tiny sense of touch helped him with this, but his blindness handicapped his abilities greatly. Unable to see where he was going -- and not used to it, either --, the male simply kept falling over things. Or bump in them. Which hurt, so to speak. And every time he would hit something, he would make sure to hiss in pain and frustration. Well, at least he could do that...
