Once a grand cathedral dedicated to the Holy Triumvirate, all that remains now are ruins ever since the religion was rejected strongly in 1823. While the religion is back in favor, the cathedral was never restored. (+3 Defense, +2 Offense)

Nyx was ever more convinced that this was a terrible idea. If the first room had managed to frighten her, she didn't even want to consider what may be waiting for them further into the house. "Okay, you had your fun. Let's go now." She wheedled, curling her tails around herself as though they would shield her from anymore unwanted sights. Jett was shaking her head before she had even finished her sentence.

"No way!" She didn't even jump when another cut out leapt from behind a pillar, even as it made Nyx squeak and burrow further into her winter clothes. "We're barely even in the front door! Come on, just one more room." She would, of course, not turn back even after the next room. Nyx was more than aware of how this would turn out. She would be drug through the entirety of the house as Jett inspected it up and down. She would be afraid the entire time, Jett would make fun of her, and they would leave with a whole load of blackmail and stupid stories for the other kuhna to lord over her for the next century. While they were good friends, sometimes she questioned her own choice in companionship.

She was hesitant to argue, though, so she was unfortunately forced to follow as Jett skipped her way through the door and into the next room. She entered this one just as she had the last - with her eyes firmly pressed closed in fear that something was waiting to ambush her just around the corner. Jett was making some sort of noise half between awe and disgust, and Nyx peeked her eyes open to see what all the fuss was about. She really, sincerely wished she hadn't.

It took them a bit longer then expected to finally reach the stairs leading into the house itself.
ThirHad decidet to take his small camcorder with him, and proceeded to record the front lawn.
Neo rolled her eyes, but refrained from complaining. She knew that it was important to her
friend, and by now, she had decidet to play along. The guy was right, every once in a while
it was nice to just relax and do something stupid.

To be fair, they pretty much all of the time did something stupid, but that usually involved breaking into obandoned houses or places, and searching for the real deal, sometimes finding some actually disturbing stuff on their journeys. Neo would have never thought it, but Youtube was actually a okay source for money for them by now. Not to live by, since they where a whole team, but it was defenetly helping. She shook her head, smirking. Thir seemed to have found something, because he started to wander off from the path, leaning into some vegetation. "Hey...look at that..." he mumbeled, waving to her to come closer

Pushing open the gate, Amelia was a little disappointed to say the least. Sure, everything held the air of spookiness to it, but the little dime shop cutouts were a bit disheartening. Still, her trio of charges had never seen anything like this before so she wouldn't ruin it for them. Who was to say the real scares weren't inside anyway? There were children bound to be here, maybe this little dead garden was more for them...

No threats detected. Proceed. The massive Rust Velix stated bluntly as he strode past. Amelia could see his eye beams scanning everything as he walked ahead to scout things out and laughed a little to herself. The other two were closer behind. The Velix stood beside her, doing a scan of his own.

This garden is in disrepair. Is disrepair FUN? Amelia placed a hand on his cold metal side and laughed.

"No it's....the atmosphere. People are here to be scared, because being scared can be fun sometimes. All the dead bushes just help build the suspense, which is a big part about being scared..."

The Destructo Velix charged past all three up to the nearest ghostly cutout. He processed it for only a second before jumping back. Whoa! Watch out for this guy! He's got crazy eyes! He turned to be faced with a goblin and gave a little shriek, taking off in a different direction that took him out of sight. But the sequence of short shrieks was a fairly good bread crumb trail to follow. Amelia sighed and patted MIDD's side.

"Come on boys, let's go get him before he scares the children..."

Kamiko - Kazuo

It was rare to get a little time away from the school, but Kami had gotten a permission slip signed as her reward for excellent grades at the beginning of the year. She was nearly giddy, despite Miyu, Nina, and Ialu not being able to get the same. Instead she had the stoic and gloomy Kazuo in tow, who eyed the building with suspicion. A haunted house was the kind of thrill she wanted, even though she didn't believe it was actually haunted. Going to school with mages, vampires, and ghosts did that to one, kill the real thrill of something.  She'd signed all the papers, and now they were letting her in, Kazuo was less than enthused as he snorted at her.

Still she pulled on Kazuo with a child like excitement as they came up to the gate, "Come on Kazu, it'll be fun." She pleaded as she laid her hand upon the gate, For now it seemed Kazu was content to follow in his more canine form, something that was as fierce as it was unsettling. He simply sat down next to the gate, and growled at her. "Oh hush, I just want to explore it a while." After a moment of watching him Kami sighed, and shook her head at the massive black beast with the skull and huge fangs. "You're less fun than Miyu and Nina." She muttered more to herself than to him, as she pushed open the gate and made her way in.

With the gate held open, Kazu made his way with graceful movements into the front yard. Behind him Kami entered letting the gate fall closed once more, though she looked overly enthusiastic. He ignored her look of wonder and began sniffing his way across the ground, seeking any threat to her or himself. He caught no scent that didn't belong to either the strange being the greeted them, or animal smells, and most of those were days old. He did pick up a few other scents of others who had passed through the area, all of those however lead to the door of the house.

Kami watched as he sniffed about the ground, snorting every so often or making a strange rumble in his chest. While a lot of the students were scared of Kazu because of how he looked now, or his past, Kami didn't find him all that scary. Right then he looked like in his own way he was having some fun, though more canine fun than the kind she was here for. "Find anything interesting over there, Kazu?" She'd already started making her way to the front door, while he ranged back and forth across the path. "Or did you just find a cuniflare to scare?" In response Kazu snorted at her, before turning around to face Kami as she walked up the front steps. His lips peeled back exposing his large fangs and other teeth, before he growled at her. In response to his attempt to be scary or menacing, Kami simply laughed softly. "Well do you want to stay out here and chase it, or come inside with me? Never know when I might need a big, scary...whatever it is you are." She was still laughing softly when she held open the door for him.

No matter how terrifying to most Kazu was, he'd yet to manage doors on his own in that form. Thankfully instead of standing there and continuing to try and intimidate her, the nearly four foot tall massive of black fur and bone made his way through the door like black lightning. If all he was planning to do was be a grump, Kami couldn't understand why he'd insisted on coming along. She did managed not to laugh when the cardboard cut out popped out from behind one of the pillars, predictably meant to startle her.

Once inside Kami had to admit that the dimly lit foyer, did put her a little bit on edge. As if sensing her unease in the lack of light, Kazu padded his way back to her and leaned against her leg. It didn't help much, with his bone like ribs digging into her leg, though without thinking Kami did reach down and carefully run her fingers along the fur on his neck as she sucked in a calming breath. She'd always been afraid of the dark, and the pools of shadows cast by the table of the entry way was not helping that fear. Without any form of comment Kazu began to lead her forward, his bone claws clicking on the hard wood of the floor as he did his best to steer her between pools of shadow.

She didn't voice it, but Kami was grateful to Kazu for his help. It didn't take long for her to get the fear back under control, and finally step a bit away from his overprotective stance. "I'm...okay, Kazu." She offered him a cheery smile, pushing back some of her white blonde hair behind her ear. "Let's...let's stick to the more lit areas though, for now." While she didn't believe this was likely more than a set up house, Kami didn't think having a panic attack would help. Besides she really didn't want Kazu to know she was close to having one, otherwise there was no telling what the five centuries old beast might do to someone else in here if she freaked out.

He seemed to sense her want to move on from the place, but Kazu could also smell fear from her. With a small huff he turned to the left and began making his way towards whatever lay in that unknown. The sooner she got to explore the place, the sooner they could leave after all.

Linhue; Imhotep

Two figures stood at the gate, hesitating to enter. A thin, wraith-like girl dressed in designer clothes and her hair expertly done, kept glancing nervously at her companion. He stood taller than her, and was broad of shoulder, dressed in a nondescript suit. He didn't seem interested in the girl, or for that matter, anything in particular.

They'd been let out of their prison for a while, Dracmir growing tired of his games with Linhue. He figured some fresh air would let her relax and recharge. He hoped when she returned, she'd be full of screams for all the tortures he had yet planned for her. Also, he liked toying with her. But, even though he was going to satisfy some of his desires on someone else for a day or so, that didn't mean his wife was free to go unchaperoned. Couldn't have her rousing the villagers, alerting anyone to what went on in his castle between spouses. So, he'd sent Imhotep with her. The two of them had been friends once. Granted, this was before Dracmir murdered the poor boy in front of her, or brought him back as an undead slave loyal only to Dracmir himself. But no matter, that was water under the metaphorical bridge, and Imhotep would ensure she kept her mouth shut and came home. Or else, whoever she spoke to or tried to run away with, would meet a bloody death.

Linhue was aware of all of this- of why she was being let go for a night or so, why Imhotep was with her, and the consequences of trying to escape the husband who had claimed her. It did little to relax her, especially since Dracmir had arranged for them to come here. But after the horrors her marriage had exposed her to, this was child's play. Nothing could be worse than the things Dracmir did to her.

With that thought, she took a steadying breath. Beside her, Imhotep's pupil-less eyes slid in their sockets to examine her. She took a step forward, followed by another. Once she was moving, she found it easier to keep going. It would be better to start now than later, since the latter would draw too much attention to them. Keeping on her heels, Imhotep followed, keeping between her and anyone else. Nobody was allowed to touch the Master's bride.

Jett was a few yards away, staring at something absolutely disgusting on the dining table. There appeared to have been some sort of massacre at a dinner party. Nyx stared around with wide eyes at the scene before her, trying to hold herself together and not scream out or do something equally embarrassing. Like feint. She felt a tad lightheaded, actually...

Jett pulled her from her inner turmoil by leaning over and poking her paw against one of the plates. "Do you think it's real?" She asked, voice barely about a whisper. She didn't appear to be having as good of a time now as she had in the room before. So much for playing the part of the brave adventurer, or whatever it was that she had been going for.

Nyx swallowed down the bile rising in her throat, shaking her head in a way that suggested she was reassuring herself more than her friend. "Surely not... You said yourself, right? Everything is fake?" She moved sideways, inching along the outermost edge of the room until she was standing a few feet behind the other kuhna. She quite obviously was hesitant to approach the table herself.

"Yeah... fake." Jett narrowed her eyes at the bloody 'entrails' on the table, considering. With her back turned to the carol, Nyx was unable to see the sly smirk that played across her features.

"Although..." She started, and then stopped herself short. "No, no. You wouldn't want to hear about that. It's just a legend." Jett was hardly able to keep her grin of satisfaction in check as she practically heard the cogs rolling over in the other kuhna's head. Nyx was processing her options, trying to decide if she were brave enough to ask. Eventually something gave, and her curiosity got the better of her.

"Hear about what?" She asked cautiously, regret evident in her voice as soon as the words were released to hang in the air between them. "Come on, Jett, you can't do that!" She knew that the common was taking blatant advantage of her natural need to know any information she could get her hands on. Her mother called it 'endearing.' Jett called her a 'know-it-all.' Whatever.

Jett hummed, tilting her head in a grand show of debating back and forth. "Well... I mean, haven't you heard the stories about this house?" She asked innocently. Nyx shook her head, knowing that Jett was peering at her from the corners of her eyes. She wasn't completely stupid and unobservant, after all. The common sat back on her haunches, turning to face the carol once she had schooled her face into the proper story telling expression.

When she finally spoke, Jett kept her tone hushed, barely above a whisper and only just audible from Nyx's position against the wall. "They say that the reason this place didn't always used to be used for haunted houses." She let on in a conspiratory manor. "It used to belong to a family. Nice bunch. The ideal, television trope sort of deal, right? A dad, a mom, two kids and a dog with a picket fence type of deal."

Okay, this story didn't seem so bad as Nyx had imagined when Jett had first asked in that 'tell all' voice that she used to gossip at school. She had been picturing something much worse. "Hmm." It... really wasn't all that interesting, actually.

Jett went on, though. "They had to close it off for a long time, though, because the dad came home from work one day and just snapped!" She seemed almost gleeful as she retold the tale, doing well to not seem as though she were making it up off the top of her head. Which, she was. "He just set his briefcase down by the door, just like every day. But then he went out back and grabbed his axe from the shed. He came back in, and he found the mom in the kitchen, cooking dinner for the family."

Nyx... couldn't say she was fond of the turn this story was taking.

Jett was really getting into it now, throwing her hands around to gesture along with the tale as she spoke. "He trapped her in the walk in freezer over there, and she had no where to go, and no one could hear her scream." Nyx was horribly invested in the story now, recoiling in slight horror in preparation for what was set to unfold. "And then..." Jett leaned in real close, the space between them growing ever smaller. She said the next part in a stage whisper, like it were some great secret. "He chopped her up. The kids too, when they got home. And then? He. Ate. Them." Jett's eyes were wide and far away, as though she were imagining the gruesome scene in the very room in which they stood. It wasn't that far of a stretch. The blood and fake gore that splattered over the dinner table was more than enough of an illustration. She snapped back into the present with a sudden shake of her head. "Or well, tried to. The police came and took him down before he could."

Nyx was sufficiently grossed out, of course, but she failed to see how this was supposed to be particularly scary. It had all happened in the past, supposedly, right? There was nothing to fear over things that were already done. To other people, no less. Then Jett settled the final nail in the coffin.

The common kuhna sat back on her haunches, looking pleased with herself as she said, "Some say he still haunts the place to this day, actually. Every October, he comes back to try and finish his task."

Seemingly satisfied with her story and the stricken look on her friend's face, Jett stood once more to inspect the dining room. Now that she was up close, she could of course tell that it was fake. Or, fake enough anyway. They had done a rather convincing job of it, but she wasn't so easily swayed as Nyx was. The carol was sunk well back into her scarves now, wide eyes casting about at every little noise as though a ghost were going to swoop down from the rafters and eat her. The tale had certainly done its part to set the mood for the room. Later tonight, when they were home safe in their beds and replaying the day as they drifted off, she supposed she might feel guilty for how upset she had made the other kuhna. For now, at least, she was pleased with her own work.

"M-ma-maybe we should go home." Nyx stuttered out, eying over every little bit of the room for possible threats while at the same time trying to disregard the bloody glasses and plates set on the dining table. She looked anywhere except for at Jett's bemused smirk. "You said just one more room, and I think this is all there is to see here."

Jett stuck out her tongue playfully. "You're such a spoil sport. There's totally more to see. Don't you want to see the walk in freezer?" Her eyebrows twitched upwards invitingly.

Jett grabbed Nyx by the coat sleeve, forcibly frog marching her into the kitchen. Nyx did her part to put up a protest, settling back on her haunches and leaning as far away from the door as possible. Being smaller than her companion, however, and significantly less used to fighting, she was easy to shove in. This go around, she hadn't the time to shut her eyes, and thus she was forced to stare at the rotting gore that covered the kitchen. She could see maggots wriggling over the counters where some unknown body parts were left strewn, and that alone was enough to make her sick to her stomach. Her teeth were audibly chattering as she shook all over.

"Jett, this isn't funny anymore. I want to go home." She cried, trying to cover her entire face with one of the many layers of fabric adorning her neck. The other kuhna wasn't paying her any mind, flouncing around the kitchen and giggling at all of the fake products that were thrown about. She leaned over the stovetop, trying to identify whatever was bubbling and boiling inside one of the bots.

"Do you think it's against fire code, for them to leave the stove on all through the night like that?" She asked the room at large. Nyx was far too busy cowering in her corner beside the door to answer, and Jett thought her eyes may just roll right out of her head to join the bloody mass of organs on the counter.

Nyx was clearly not going to be coaxed out of her tomb of scarves any time in the near future, and so Jett decided to explore the remainder of the kitchen area herself. She popped open the door to the freezer, peering inside and noting that it was predictably only full of meat products. Lame. Here she had been hoping that there would be something truly gruesome in there for her to shove in Nyx's face. It didn't mean she couldn't have a bit of fun with it, though. It wasn't as though Nyx were actually looking.

"Oh my god, she's still in here!" Jett made her voice shrilly and loud, a rather convincing pantomime of panic. Then, she screamed, darting into the freezer and slamming the door of it behind her. She could hear Nyx's claws scrabbling against the wood of the floor, and through the little glass plate she could see that she was having some sort of melt down.

Outside in the kitchen, Nyx was beside herself. She was torn greatly between trying to rescue her friend, and high-tailing it straight out the door and into the night. She knew that she could never realistically forgive herself if something happened to Jett. She didn't have many other friends, and Jett was her best by far. A new sort of resolve seemed to blanket her, and then she was sprinting at the freezer door like she may well just barrel through it entirely.

Jett, seeing what was about to happen, made sure to look panicked and afraid when Nyx shoved her face against the clear plate at the door. She even beat on the door for good measure. The ruse couldn't go on for long, of course - a mixture of the carol's stricken and yet somehow determined features and the icy cold of the freezer bit away at her resolve. She was, of course, naturally inclined to milk a prank for all she could get. But Nyx was already so scared, and honestly she hadn't dressed for sub zero temperatures. Her leather jacket was great at a punk concert, but not so much for the harsh winter chill. When Nyx began fumbling for the door handle, she let go of it and allowed it to open with little to no resistance.

Then, she was doubling over in laughter. Nyx seemed confused, squinting at her and taking the entire scenario in. Something clicked in her mind, and she scowled. "You're a real jerk, you know that?" And oh, Jett had never actually seen Nyx get mad before. The sharp tone of the other kuhna's voice sobered her rather quickly.  "I was actually worried about you, you giant... Gah!" Nyx was turning then, stomping off and heading back towards the dining room.

Well now, that wouldn't do. Jett felt remorse for the first time since entering the house, running to catch up and grab on to the hood of the carol's jacket.
