Luminance
The lady walked through the dark halls, scuffing the pebbles and debris at her feet carelessly as she squinted into the darkness. It was the middle of the day, but whatever infernal darkness this was that had descended on Evelon was particularly thick here. Hence the woman's presence. This place was already prone to the things many people did not know, or perhaps care to know, existed. All the dark things that haunted dreams and dirty alley corners. The stuff of ghost stories and horror movies.
Though she could not say what had caused the mist, Luminance simply could not allow these things to take advantage of the sudden darkness. It seemed the things hidden from her sight had sensed her intentions, as she perceived many things shrinking back into their hiding places. She also perceived others which bristled at her approach. Soundless threats from just out of the corner of her eye.
