"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Just trust me, love."

Orion sighs as he looks ahead at the abandoned church. Lights and music leaked out through the cracks in the building and he could practically feel the ground vibrate with the bass. He wasn't looking forward to the inevitable crowd inside of bodies crammed together, and glistening with sweat as they danced the night away.

They had heard rumors about this pop up club and Xanatos had insisted that they had to check it out.

With a deep breath, Orion opened the doors to the building and was met with a blast of music and lights. If it weren't for his training it would have overwhelmed him. Xanatos stepped in after him and squeezed his shoulder reassuringly with a soft smile.

Orion rolled his eyes playfully and sighed again before slipping into the throng of dancing bodies.

The smell of sweat was overpowering and the unmistakable thrum of life all around him seemed to be the only things keeping him present. The flashing lights were blinding and the deep bass pounding into him would drive him up the wall if not for him using grounding techniques.

Orion breathed in the air and carefully searched the crowd for signs of the supposed dark-siders who were practicing an ancient art of sapient sacrifices in order to further their powers through the dark side of the Force.

A woman bumped into him, then smiled and started to grind on him, clearly interested in a dance. He smiled awkwardly before fleeing the dance floor. He was going to make sure to complain that much more once he and Xan got home.

Xanatos on the other hand was not having any trouble moving through the crowd and seeing despite the many lights. He had partied many times in his youth when he would slip out of the temple to have fun.

With a grin he danced his way to the small pop up bar and slid a couple keystones the bar tender's way.

"So, my friend...seen anyone interesting tonight?"

"So what if I did? I ain't about to talk to some slick brat." the brutish man replied before turning back to another guest to serve them liqueur.

Xanatos practically snarled before calming himself and smiling a bit too pleasantly.

"Well this slick brat has got a big wad of cash for you if you got anything for me."

He produces a large bag of keystones and grins wickedly.

"I just wanna know if you've seen anyone...strange."

The bartender snorted a laugh.

"Buddy, everyone here is strange as fuck, yourself included. You'll have to be a bit more specific."

Xanatos leaned in close to the guy and whispered just loud enough for the bartender to hear him over the din.

"I'm looking for some real freaks. Those who like taking young pretty things and making them scream."

The bartender snorted and discreetly pointed towards a hole in the wall behind the bar, before grabbing the keystones and returning to work.

"Thanks, buddy."

Xanatos got up and made his way back into the crowd to find Orion.

Orion, however, was not in the crowd, nor was he at the bar. No he had already found the hole and now was deep down in a basement, trying to stay as still and as quiet as possible.

He could see the dark-siders preparing for a ritual down below him on a stone slab. A young woman lay unconscious on it, dressed in white and tied down so she could not escape should she wake.

Orion was waiting for them to turn their attention completely to their tasks so he could sneak back up and report to Xanatos. Unfortunately one kept scanning the area, as if they somehow knew he was around and hiding, despite his skills at cloaking his presence.

He debated trying to project his presence elsewhere but the idea was risky and could give him away.
