"The time has come, Glenn.  The fools have gathered at the cathedral, and we can at last have our blood." A feminine voice said, tainted with poison and venom.  "Indeed, my dear sister." A masculine voice replied as he started to walk ahead.  "For too long we have been starved of fresh blood, Esmerelda.  Tonight, we shall feast--a grand feast, with plenty of Kuhna blood and 'Wockee blood and... oh, just the thought of it makes my mouth water!" He said.  His sister smiled.

"What is it we are waiting for then, Glenn?  Let us begin our attack!"

"It's such a shame we'll be crashing their party, though." A Seraph Sahound said as he watched the two humanoid Ferrikoons walk towards the Cathedral.  "Such a shame, wouldn't you agree, Maakei?  When they finally descend upon the cathedral, they will find only us and hopefully a few other vampire hunters here.  Their feast will be protected... yes."  The Rabbot looked around as she said, "Indeed, Angelo.  Those poor Vampires are merely going to find themselves starved for even more blood and they will find stakes through their hearts!" She said jovially, her tail slowly moving from side to side.  "We ought to go see if we can't find more people.  Thankfully for us, it is only dusk.  We might have luck finding hunters before nughtfall." She said.

"Let us go, then." Angelo said, setting off.

"Mm, mm, mmmmmmm!"
"Shut up."

The Palowockee removed her headphones, looking at the Meji. "You're being loud. Shut it."
The Palowockee nodded. "Mmhm." she said, for that was all she was capable of doing. So, what are we looking for again? she asked through telepathy. "We're supposed to meet some vampire hunters-"
Not another hunt! she complained.
"Yes, another one. Now please, you're making me loose my train of thought. I need to find the pets we're meeting..." Suddenly he saw the faint glow that was Angelo's halo. "There!" he whispered to her, grabbing her maw and pointing her sight range towards the light. "Let's go." he whispered, then floated forward slowly. Bailey followed slowly after him.

[Azura Rayume]

Paia lay on what was probably an alter of some sort so many years ago, brooding away. "Stupid Singa..," she muttered to herself, arms crossed behind her head. Her black and orange hair fell around her pale face and off the raised stone table in dark curtains, parting around her dark horns.

Yes, horns. A pair of ram's horns curled elegantly around her ears, giving her a mystical appearance. They'd always been there. All twenty six years of her life. Too bad she hadn't been able to live like a normal half goat girl for nine of those years. For that bit of her life, she'd lived as a vampire.

True, being a vampire wasn't all bad. She could fly. And she never got any older. Unfortunatly, she also couldn't eat normal food. Oh, how she missed the taste of a good slice of pizza! Now she had to live off biting people and pets all because Singa couldn't keep from biting her.

She sighed. "Ah, well," she thought aloud. "Not much I can do about it now."

Kyou slowly approached the cathedral, emerald eyes fixated on the ancient building. This was where she had been spotted last.

'Paia,' he thought, his pace quickening, 'I'm coming to find you! Your parents are worried and want you to come home to them. I promised them and myself that you will find your way home.'

He shook his head, clearing his mind of his feelings toward her. The girl he used to know was probably long gone by now and replaced by a monster. And it was his job to destroy that monster. He could never forget that.

Now, where was that group? He scanned the area, his gaze resting on four pets not too far away. That must be them. He trotted over, but said nothing. His mind was on something else.

[Kestrel]

Tiszta sighed. Why was she here again? Something about peace and quiet. Roraldi Forests or Tengal Rainforests was much quieter than here. And it was inside. She felt so trapped, and the walls seemed to lean towards here. She shivered. This would not turn out well, she could already tell. Walking over to a dust-covered bench, she tested it's strength. It held. Sweeping the dust off, she wondered why her owner sent her to a place so gloomy. Gloomy and Tiszta didn't go well together. She was more of the cheerful type. At least it was peace and quiet. But she could see several figures farther on. That could make it very noisy. Tiszta had lots of experience with several people that she could see in a big, open, space like this. What happened was that even if all of them whispered, the noise echoed. It kept echoing until they stopped, and that could be after a few hours. If they talked loudly and laughed loudly, however, it would sound like they were shouting in her ear, unfortunately. Hopefully, they would just stand and whisper. Or move on. She could at least enjoy the silence for now.

Glenn and Esmerelda advanced silently into the cathedral where Paia lay on the alter.  "Well, well." Esmerelda said.  "I know vampires when I see one.  Wouldn't you agree, Glenn?" She asked.  Her brother nodded as they approached Paia silently.  "Greetings to you, my fellow vampire." He said, a smile on his face.

Angelo smiled as Galen and Bailey appeared.  "Ah, good; you made it.  Thankfully, our friends have a temporary diversion on their hands: another vampire--ah, Kyou, there you are!" He said, smiling as he nodded to the Glacial Fellox.  Maakei turned as she looked into the cathedral.  "Look... a Rexxel.  She looks..."

"...like someone Glenn and Esmerelda will not hesitate to catch and make a feast of." Angelo said.  Turning to Galen and Kyou, he said, "Are we ready for this hunt, my friends?"

The 20-some year old lay on the alter. His black horns were ablaze, flames licking his black hair. His pale skin flickered in the dim lamp-light above him, and his long fanges curled with his lips as he grinned. His red eyes glinted with evil, and his black tail swished out under his black robes. Two holes appeared in the back of his robes, and large black bat wings sprouted. Gasping for breath, he spread his wings, letting out a long, evil chuckle. He stretched his claws and wings, and glided down to the floor.

The finally awakened vampire landed beside Glenn. He hissed menacingly, then held out a clawed hand. "Carion Wither, at your sssservice."

Glenn and Esmerelda smiled when they laid eyes on Carion.  "Excellent.  Another vampire has joined us at last." Esmerelda said, her fangs gleaming from her smile.  "This will make for an excellent hunting party.  For a long time, my brother and I have watched the cathedral.  We have seen many creatures gather here at night, and tonight..." She smiled.

"Tonight we shall feast!"

"We must try to alert as many as we can to the danger they might face tonight." Angelo said, his wings resting against his back.  "Maakei, I want you, Galen, and Bailey to go down to that cathedral there, where the Rexxel is.  Kyou and I shall keep our eyes open for any other vampires." He said.  Maakei nodded as she turned to leave, but waited for the Meiji and the Palowockee.

Carion hiissed his agreement. Then, a movement caught his eye.A group of animals was talking together, as if they were plotting. Carion hissed in annoyance. "There are the huntersssss. We must make sssssure to... take care of them." He half hissed, half chuckled at this.

"I had expected as much..." Esmerelda hissed angrily.  She turned to her brother, who nodded.  "Doubtless it's Angelo and Maakei among them... I knew I felt familiar presences here..." He said.  Esmerelda nodded as she shook her head.  "Doubtless they intend to keep us starving.  But... we shall get them when they least expect it." She said.

Galen tipped his hat to Angelo. "Will do." he said quietly, then let himself float towards the Rexxel. Bailey nudged him from behind. You're magic's too bright. Stop it, we may be noticed. she thought to him. Galen fell to the ground with a click, his little shoes shining in the moonlight anyways. And don't walk so hard, you're little clicking will give us away. she said to him, glaring at him with her sightless black holes, if that was even possible. Either way, it still made Galen shiver. He tapped both shoes with his wand, and they dissappeared from his fuzzy feet, really the only rabbit-y trace on him. His feet were quiet, and that was enough for RB. "Bailey, you'll have to give your headphones to me." he said, looking at her. She HMMMMMMMed at him, which was her equivelant of a growl. Galen sighed. "Fine." They walked forward, then looked back. "Maakei, you coming?" he whispered. Bailey watched him expectantly.

Angelo nodded as he turned away from the Meiji and Palowockee.  Maakei smiled as she started to walk alongside the Meiji and Palowockee, turning to Galen as she asked, "Does Bailey really need to have her music on?  Her humming and claws will easily give us away..." She said, casting a worried glance around the cathedral.  She could smell the vampires around them, but they wouldn't get the drop on them...

Paia glanced up at the other three vampires. Feast? Other creatures? Normally she wouldn't have wanted any part of it. Unfortunately for her, the last thing she'd had to eat was a half dead rat that had scurried up to her. (Even that she'd felt guilty about.) Nonetheless, she needed food. She resolved to help these stranges. For now, at least.

Kyou snapped back to reality as the group started to walk away. He had to stop zoning out like that! One of those monsters could fly out at any time. If he was destracted, that would be the end of him. He could hear voices above. Two male, one female. The only problem was the echo. He couldn't really tell exactly how far away the owners of the voices were.

Carion rasped out a few words in snake, then looked at them and grinned. His eyes sparkled with mischevious delight. "We could pluck them off one by one, and let them fear ussss before we attack the leaderssss."

"Excellent plan, Carion... But which one should we go for first?" Esmerelda mused, watching the party inch closer to the Rexxel.  There was Maakei, Angelo's loyal friend, Galen, and then Bailey.  Esmerelda knew that it would be hard to attack Galen or Maakei, as they were vampire hunters, but Bailey...

"Ah, the Palowockee.  You've set your sights on her, then, have you?" Glenn asked curiously.  Esmerelda shook her head.  "Not at all, Glenn.  I have my eyes set on a guest that has not arrived yet." She said.  "You three, decide amongst yourselves who shall take the Palowockee."

Maakei's gaze was wary as she looked around.  Finally, she trotted up to Tiszta.  "Excuse me, miss." She said.  "But my friends and I cannot help but notice that you are here alone.  There is safety in numbers.  Would you mind if we stayed with you until you leave or until daylight comes?" She asked.  Meanwhile, Angelo also picked up the echo.  "Aha... so Esmerelda and her brother have found another minion... how convenient for us." He commented.

Carion chuckled in his high-pitched hiss. "She looks very appatizing, indeed. May I go and... get some lunch?" He grinned mischeviously, glancing down at the musical palowockee. "Very appatizing indeed," he murmured.
