"Alright," said Spex as Breezy dashed off to a nearby tree. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!" shouted Spex.

Violet ran as soon as Spex started counting. She dashed through the forest until she came to a large bush with purple berries on it. Perfect! She crawled inside and crouched down, then ate a few berries. Violet smiled to herself. A great hiding spot, complete with snacks. She settled down and waited.

Breezy hopped up a tree with orange blossoms with some sun spots in the canopy. "Perfect!" she whispered as she crouched onto a branch for a long wait.

Dakota ran until he saw a stream. He jumped in and hid among the reeds. He almost completely submerged himself, keeeping only his nose and eyes above water.

Spex flew in a straight line to a big tree. She turned up and went straight through the canopy of leaves. She looked down for a glimpse of color somewhere. After seeing orange, she zipped down and tackled her sister, giggling.

Spex left Breezy to go back to the meeting place while she sped toward the forest floor. When she landed, she continued on foot toward a marsh-ish thing. She flew over that and landed near a small bush. Spex noticed it had... purple? ... berries on it as she ducked down inside.

Violet heard Spex coming and scooted farther into the bush, relying on her grey and purple fur as camo. She hoped Spex would mistake her for just a shadowy patch of bush.

Spex used her voltage to see since she didn't want to strain her eyes in the darkness. She looked around but saw nothing except shadows. She was about to turn off her voltage and turn around, but as she turned, she caught two flashing lights. Eyes? wondered Spex. She walked forward a little more and felt something soft under her wing near where the flashing lights were.

"Hmmm... Violet? Dakota?" whispered Spex.

Guess the game is up, thought Violet. she stood up and walked over to Spex.

"Oh wow, you scared me!" exclaimed Spex as Violet came towards her. "I'm going to go find Dakota," Spex told Violet as she exploded out of the bush.

Violet nodded, then sniffed as she caught Dakota's scent. She could tell he was near water, but she didn't plan on ratting him out. She sat down and waited.

Spex stepped out of the bush and flew above the undergrowth to get a better view. Hmmm... thought Spex as she scanned the forest floor below. "Shouldn't a blue pelt stick out on dry land and green settings?" she wondered out loud as she fluttered over to a tree branch to wait and think...

Dakota laughed softly from his place in the water. Spex would never find him here! Suddenly, he heard buzzing. A bee flew around his head, then landed on his nose. Dakota's eyes widened. Oh no, he thought. He was deathly afraid of bees. He burst out of the water yelling, "BEE! BEE! AHHHHHH!!! GET IT OFF!" Violet groaned to herself. He was as good as found. Dakota ran in crazy zigzags until he ran into a tree. Violet winced. He looked alright, but he was gonna have one heck of a bruise.

"Owwwcchh!" thought Spex as she screeched, "Dakota!!!!!!!" She dived down to where he was next to the tree. "Are you alright?" she asked as she fanned him with her wing.

Dakota opened his eyes and groaned. "Yeah, I'm okay. Is the bee gone?"

"Hang on," said Spex as the bee came up by her head. She turned grabbed it with her beak. "Now I've got it," she muttered around the now dead bee. She giggled as she swallowed it, stinger and all.
