"I'm sure she will be fine; I just..." Lasha shook her head, taking a sip of the champagne and nuzzling Keltor.  "Aya's never been one to take loss well.  Never." She said, looking first to her medallion and then to Keltor again.  "She's... 'soft', if you will.  Tries to hide it in her love for research.  Won't work for too long, though." This was said with some finality as Lasha grinned.  "But she should be fine, in the end."

Keltor grinned. "Well if it will all turn out okay, then there's no reason to upset yourself worrying about it, huh." Keltor said simply, nuzzling Lasha back and relaxing happily, curling up into his lifemate and staring into her crimson eyes before slowly raising his glass and whispering "A toast, huh. To us."

Lasha grinned as she raised her glass a little.  "To us." She said, tipping the glass back slightly and letting the champagne waterfall into her mouth ever so slightly.  As she did this, her tails swished slightly in the water, and on the ground next to the hotsprings, a figurine began to form...

Keltor took a sip of the champagne as well. A good year, he thought, though he was far from knowledgeable in this subject . He didn't even notice the figurine starting to form- it sounded corny, but he honestly was too busy staring into Lasha's eyes, admiring the deep crimson hue that he had yet to see anywhere else, not even the deep crimsons of her wings...

Lasha grinned and almost began to giggle as Keltor continued to look into her eyes, her skin going hot under her black fur.  Her eyes turned to look at the figurine beside the hotsprings momentarily--if one looked at it, they'd say that it looked exactly like a Doomsberry Kuhna and a Kanua, both placed in a sitting position and nuzzling each other.  She chuckled lightly, her eyes going back to looking into Keltor's.

Keltor's eyes momentarily followed Lasha's to the figurine. "Was that there before, huh?" he asked curiously, blinking and staring at the small model. It wasn't much of a stretch to say it looked like... him and Lasha, in the position that they were currently in?

Lasha shook her head.  "No... I don't believe it was." She said, her tails ceasing their movements as she looked over at it again, and then, her eyes drifted back to the bedroom where she had placed ber pack.  "It's not the only one of its kind, though.  I have a couple more in my pack that I... well, that I made." She said, lowering her eyes again.  "I knew that my dad wasn't joking when he said I had a gift..." She whispered.

"You mean you carved that when I wasn't looking, huh?" asked Keltor, dumbstruck. "How can you carve that fast, huh?" Keltor was not the most intelligent Kuhna ever born. He wasn't quick to think of magic, either. He hadn't really run into it, so why would he believe in it?

Lasha sighed, and then, blurted out, "Do you believe in the ability to use magic?  Because..." She took in a breath and said, "Because that's how I carved it so fast without you noticing.  Ever since I was old enough to twitch my tails, I've been able to make things appear in a heartbeat.  A backpack, a sculpture, anything except another live Kuhna." She said, waiting for Keltor's response.

Keltor, blinked, then looked at Lasha funny. That didn't seem to make sense, but why would Lasha lie to him? And he was sure that she wasn't crazy... "Anything?" he asked suddenly, grinning widely with a mischievous glint in his eyes as he glanced momentarily at the sculpture.

"Anything except another live Kuhna." Lasha said, her eyes closing for a moment as she inhaled deeply.  "I never understood it, but when Father told me that it was just a natural 'gift', like Aya's keen ability to know everything about Kuhnas, I decided I should not be ashamed of it.  After all... it is much like Tasera's ability to forsee things." She said, looking at the half-empty glass of champange.

Keltor grinned impishly and leaned in close to Lasha, whispering something in her ear which most people would describe as quite perverted before pulling back smugly and asking "Can you make that appear out of nowhere?" he asked, grinning.

Lasha giggled as Keltor whispered into her ear before replying, "Well... maybe." She said.  "Some things are easier than others to conjure.  It takes more energy the bigger the item you want to conjure is." She said, trying to size up exactly how much energy it would take for her to conjure up what Keltor had asked her to...

"Bigger, huh?" Keltor grinned. "I like the way you think, huh..." he said, grinning and snuggling into Lasha, setting his champagne glass down on the edge of the pool and smirking at Lasha. "So how much energy do you have?" he asked slyly.

Lasha chuckled as she shrugged again, saying, "It takes a long time for one to learn their limits when using magic.  Ashok, my teacher, has nearly an unlimited energy level; but he is also fairly old and has far more experience.  To him--even to his other student, Saphira--I am but a kit still." She smiled, her tails swishing from side to side.  Somewhere offshore, the air began to sparkle and swirl as Lasha began to divert all her energy to the task at hand.
