Spout struggled madly as the thing reached out an extremity for her.  Snarling underwater, she delivered a sharp bite to whatever it was.  She was getting low on air.  Struggling in the hold of thing thing, she paddled upwards for the surface, but found herself help tight by the creature.

Bubbles saw Spout trying to go up for some air, and dived at the arm holding her. When she was close enough, she used one of her tails to squeeze it, and bit it hard. No matter how hard it flinged her, she wouldn't let go. Finally, it released Spout. But a second arm had come up for Bubbles. Releasing the arm, she swam up to the surface as well.
