[Akida]

It was a bright sunny day and the foliage of the forest glittered with the moisture of yesterday's rain storm. Roraldi was beautiful on days like this. The forest floor was damp, the dark soil full of nutrients and the air was crisp and clean. A Pipe paragon glided low over the canopy. The trees stretched for the sun racing each other to get the most light. They seemed to come alive and be more than just trees as the green dragon flew over. The plants were drawn equally to her and the sun. It seemed wherever she went, plants flourished. That is, if conditions were good enough...

Her bright wings held her in the air above an opening in the canopy where a veteran tree had fallen not too long ago. Seedlings and vines had already started their race to replace the old tree. She smiled at them, knowing they were all healthy and did not need help. The strongest and fastest would survive and that would help to keep the forest alive in the years to come. She hovered a few more moments before flying off toward a plume of steam. It was about time for her visit to one of the hot springs in the forest. She was like a plant herself but not as fragile or static.

She landed softly on the damp loam a ways away from the spring. Under her claws the grass began to visibly grow along with flowering vines. This was her power: plant manipulation and earth healing. She left beautiful paths of flowers unique to the area she walked. Pretty yellows, blues and whites. The first time she experienced this she used to simply stand in place and watch the greenery grow quickly under her. As she got used to it, she would sometimes forget and leave trails for strangers to find her easily. Now older and wiser, the earth paragon usually flew wherever she went. She occasionally thought of going to see someone to curb her power. That was a constant thought on her mind.

She approached the steaming pool and dipped a claw into it carefully. She always tested the water in different areas. It was hot but nice. Being a paragon she was able to withstand much warmer conditions than the average creature. She waded into the pool slowly. She'd had the misfortune a few times before of miscalculating the depth of the pools she soaked in. She folded her delicate wings and sank into the spring with a soft sigh. She'd had a long morning today. She went over the series of events as she relaxed.

Today she decided to tune out the world and focus on knowing who she was. She had never done that before but had come across an odd stranger or two in her life that said she should. Today seemed like a nice day to do so and that's just what she did.

The green lady closed her eyes and focused on what was within.
Who am I? What am I here for?
The questions lingered and echoed in her mind. The words formed and faded before her closed eyes. All she saw was black. Darkness... Then.. A faint glow. The green grew brighter with accents of gold and white...like an aurora. She tilted her head slightly in confusion. She tried again.
What am I? What's my purpose?

A faint, echoing whisper came to her ears. At that she opened her eyes and looked around. She strained to hear voices, but for some reason the forest seemed exceptionally loud now. She scanned the surrounding area carefully. She thought for a moment then tried going back to that place within herself. Unfortunately, this now became an impossible task. She simply sighed and rose out of the pool. The water made her scales shine brighter than normal. The vines on her body shimmered as she lifted herself into the air, spraying droplets with each flap of her wings. She decided to take another flight over the forest. She would tend to the greenery that asked for her help. It wasn't really a conversation where the plants would reach out telepathically. It was more of a feeling. Just knowing. She understood the foliage and that was all she needed. Cities and civilization deterred her. She felt useless and out of place the one time she flew over a town. This made her decide to stay strictly within Roraldi.

[Akida]

Her colors made her blend almost perfectly with the tree tops. This came in handy when there were "normals" trekking through the forest on trails. Once or twice she'd be spotted and the one lucky enough to see her would make a huge commotion about it. The last one came back often and camped for days at a time. The man would call out ever so often asking her to show herself and promising not to tell.

Her eight red eyes watched in complete silence. Unmoving. Unresponsive. When the man would give up, the dragon would wait until the usual forest creatures came around her. She'd use their noise in the leaves as a cover and fly away. She hadn't seen, or heard, the man quite some time after that.  In her mind this was good. She was cautious before and remained the cautious forest spirit even after then.

[Akida]

She glided toward the west, away from the still-rising sun. Noon wasn't too far but still wasn't here yet. She could feel the pull of needing to be somewhere. She zigzagged, following the growing sensation of being needed. It is pretty hard to explain what exactly she feels.

The great green dragon could see she was headed toward a sort of clearing in the canopy. She landed atop a tree a ways away and listened carefully. She couldn't hear anything. She wouldn't see anything from this distance either. She hopped from tree top to tree top landing slowly and quietly each time. She didn't want to be spotted by anyone who did not belong.
