Deo spun off to the side, shrugging off the lad's advance. He knew better than to allow an opponent to gain too much of an edge, but preventing such an outcome was becoming difficult. The boy's skill, combined with his tendency to prattle on during a fight, was making it difficult for the knight to make any bit of headway.

Deo sighed to himself as he fell back into stance from the spin and took a swing at the prince's exposed back with the flat of his blade. He really hated these games.

Damian stumbled as the knight dodged his attack. A maneuver like that had not been what he was expecting, since the knight would most often block an attack rather than just get out of the way, and the prince was caught off guard. His blade pulled him off balance, and he just managed to catch himself before the knight's attack connected with the small of his back.

He let out a small cry of pain and went down on one knee. A glance over his shoulder told him Deo was ready to smack him again.

"Ooh~ I think you might have really hurt him there, Ser Deo," Gwen chimed in, finally taking some interest in her brothers' antics. Her spot in the shade was a fine place to watch her father's knights pound some sense into those thick male skulls. If things had ceased to be interesting, or her siblings started winning, she could always just go back to relaxing. "Are you alright there, Damian, or will we have to send you home early?"
