Whatever this Pokemon was supposed to be, they were massive. In shock, Bandit just about nearly dropped the red device into the grass as her jaw muscles had started to slacken. And because they were bigger, the cat was smart enough to know not to make any sudden moves, lest she set something off that would lead to her possibly getting hurt.

Even the deer wouldn't budge. Now that he was finally able to get a really good look at what had been lurking in the grass, the mounting fear and dark thoughts looming in his head were starting to melt away into confusion.

What... was this thing supposed to be??

There was no way this was actually a predator like he'd originally feared! Sure, those eyes of hers were undoubtedly a rather unnerving aspect when he looked at them for too long, but... they're so small! Small enough that there was no way she could possibly hurt him! He was quickly starting to feel like an idiot for getting so worked up like that over what turned out to be nothing.

Finally, he would break the stillness in the air by nervously swallowing down the plant matter that he'd been in the middle of eating before Bandit had shown up.

Among the silence that was present, it was a bit of a noisier endeavor than intended. Once his lunch had completely vanished down his gullet though, he would raise his head up fully and clear his throat, looking away to hide any embarrassment that may have been showing on his face. "Uh... O-Oh! T-There's that darn patch of grass I'd been looking for!" He would exclaim with feigned delight, after a moment of trying to think of what he should do.

Briefly he'd glance back down at the cat, which wouldn't last more than a second, before he started relocating himself only a few feet away from Bandit to another area among the grass for a patch that he was allegedly looking for.

Since it was rather on the spot, his use of searching for food as an excuse to quickly move on felt like a pretty weak choice, but... he had already committed to it and was just going to stick with it for as long as the Meowth remained there.

The whole time, Bandit would be silently watching as the large deer moved away from her. She would shoot them a suspicious look as distance was put between them, and she would linger for another minute as she tried to determine if what she heard was genuine. She'd had her fair share of having to lie her way through bad situations before, and this made her question if the deer was doing exactly that right now...

He could still feel her eyes boring into him... It was honestly making him very uncomfortable, and he was finding it hard to sit still. Now that he'd put himself into this position, he had to try and ignore it as best he could to focus on resuming his grazing. The deer would soon find it a little difficult to do as he started half-halfheartedly tearing into the thin green blades, as all that panicking he'd been doing had kind of ruined his appetite...

Luckily for him, his back was completely turned. So Bandit couldn't actually see much of him trying to eat, just his head slowly nosing around and tugging at the occasional plant.

Then she remembered that she was in the middle of doing something, and that was way more important than watching a stupid deer eating! Her attention would turn away from them, as she looked around at the surrounding area. "Hey, you!" She mewed suddenly in a harsh tone, before gently setting down the Pokedex on the grass beside her.

The loudness of her voice would startle him, and he visibly jumped from the suddenness of it, this time dropping whatever was in his mouth. His head whirled around to look over at the small cat, his eyes wide. "W-What? Me?" He questioned in reaction, which... he would instantly regret doing. He didn't want to be bothered any further by them, and was really hoping that they'd have just gone away already. But instead of quietly leaving like he wanted, and was even given the perfect the opportunity to do so, they were talking to him now!

His response would obviously annoy Bandit, as her eyes narrowed in his direction. "Yes, you! Who else do you think I'm talking to!?" She snapped, showing with a wave of her paw that they were the only two Pokemon around in this place. If she weren't in a hurry, she probably would have started yelling at and insulting the deer for their stupidity. Fortunately he wouldn't get to experience that, as she moved along to what she originally wanted to say. "I'm looking for a place to hide out for a while. You wouldn't happen to know of any good spots around the forest for that, would you?"

Her sharp words were bad enough that the deer would frown. Was this Pokemon always so... rude? If he already didn't like her before, he most certainly didn't now! With his near permanent dour expression becoming even more sour, he turned himself completely around to face her once more, tilting his head as he considered the odd question.

What did she even need a place to hide for? Was she running from something? He didn't know anything about them, so it was hard to say what they were intending to do exactly.

As he thought about it, along with his own questions, he did come to realize something.

This was his chance!

If he could give her what she wanted, then maybe he could also get what he wanted at the same time! Although he was hesitant about helping out someone that couldn't even say "please", he was more eager to get this Pokemon out of his antlers once and for all finally! "R-Right..." He began, considering his words carefully. "If you're looking for somewhere to hide... then I suggest the old oak tree in the eastern part of the forest." He directed his big round nose in the direction he spoke of.

The longer she had to sit there waiting for an answer from the bigger Pokemon, the more furiously her tail lashed about impatiently. If she didn't hurry soon, then they might find her! The cat opened her mouth, and was just about to berate him for being so slow, but she quickly bit back her tongue when he finally started talking.

Bandit would also turn her head to look out towards the place he spoke of, now curious of this oak tree. Could it really fulfill her need for a place to stash her hoard shiny items from the rest of the world in the future?

She'd have to go check it out. If it turned out to be hidden well enough, then that's where she would stay for a while. "It's a bit of a walk from here, but... if you head that way, and go past the river near a Pecha grove in the same direction, you should find it." The wild Pokemon would finish, turning back to her.

Ugh, Pecha... those berries were so gross! Bandit's nose curled up at the thought of having to pass through an entire grove of the sickeningly sweet stuff.

As annoying as it might be to have to smell tons of Pecha berries and their flowers, she was going to have to just suck it up and get it over with. Breathing in a long and heavy sigh, mostly in preparation of what was to come, Bandit nodded to the deer. "...Thanks." Bandit would murmur awkwardly. It wasn't often that someone was so willing to share information like that, so as much as she hated it, she had to attempt to return the favor.

She wouldn't allow him a even moment to process what he might've just heard, as she quickly followed it with a glare and more words that were now deadly serious. "And if anyone asks, you never saw me. Got it?" She couldn't have this Pokemon blabbing to anyone about what he'd told her! Otherwise that dumb canine and the girl might figure out where she'd gone.

She had no intention of leaving until she made sure that he swore never to tell a soul.

The deer would be surprised as his ears caught something he didn't think he'd actually hear. Was that... gratitude? A look of disbelief would show on his face, before he'd be shocked out of it by even more of her rudeness. Jeez, this Pokemon was all over the place right now! Even he was starting to get annoying at this point.

The request, or rather, demand, would only cause further questions in his mind. He had the sense to not ask though, as the alternative would be much quicker. "Okay, okay! I promise I won't say a word!" Now go already!
