Dsirus was mad.  Enraged even.  A Battleheart of his stature, losing a battle to two kuhnas and having to explain his actions to a Yonyuu!  "I used to be part of the Purines," he explained, "I ran away for reasons I won't say to anyone but they were mad and if they found me...." He trailed off and refused to speak save for one sentence.  "I captured that gyrraptor because I knew he would report me and I can't let anyone know I'm here.  That includes you."  With his last remaining vestiges of strength, Dsirus twisted around and opened his mouth, a hissing sound escaping from it.

Vii glared at him.  "Hey, you're on one limb and losing blood.  I hold the cards.  Why did you want the gyrraptor?"  She showed him her three inch claws in a threatening manner.  "I'm not with the Purines, and I won't turn you in unless you give me a reason to.  Why did you want the gyrraptor?"

Aaron looked around again.  Now where were they?  Thinking about it for a moment, he knew there were others back the way they had come.  If they were there, there must be soem sort of food at least.  That would be best for their survival.  But there was no way Missy would want to go back there.  She wasn't exactly thrilled with the whole scared to death thing.  He'd have to trick her into returning.

Thining for a moment, Aaron pointed the opposite dirrection they had just come from.  "I think we should go this way."

"Oh no.  We're not listening to you again." Missy said, just as Aaron had expected.  She abruptedly turned tail and, with out realizing it, went back the way from which they had just came.  Straight back for the danger.  For now, Aaron thought, they'd just live with what they'd been given.

Dsirus knew that the Yonyuu was right.  He had to tell the truth sooner or later.  He knew that he shouldn't, It was a secret between him and her but he felt the truth should come out.  "Okay, okay, I'll tell you," he gritted his teeth and shoved it out of his mouth.  "The Gyrraptor is my...."  He didn't have a chance to talk any more as he felt claws on his back and he roared out in pain.  he suddenly heard a whispered voice next to his ear but he could hear the anger in it.  "My mother told me once what my father's name was.  I just remembered.  It was Dsirus."

Vii jumped back.  The gyrraptor had returned.  She hadn't heard what he said, but she leaped into the nearest tree as to not get involved.  This was getting more and more interesting.

Missy looked though the thick under brush, her head spinning.  She was sooo lost.  This was soooo unfair.  Sighing, she turned to her brother.  "Aaron, how did you manage to get us this lost?"

Aaron only smirked to himself.  Missy was the one leading, not him.  And besides, he wasn't lost.  he knew exactly where they were.  He could see thier old paw prints in the trail.  They were almost back where they had begun.  Hopping from tree to tree, Aaron watched the sun sink slowly closer to the ground.  This was bad.  They needed shelter for the night, and fast.

Missy sniffed the air.  Blood.  But not any blood.  It was that same smell from before.  She remembered it, but she didn't remember why.  Why was this scent so alarming?

Aaron knew just as his sister did, but he knew why it was so familiar.  IT was the same Battleheart from before. Missy had failed to notice this yet, but it was there, sure enough.  Stepping back into the clearing, Missy saw the Battleheart, standing there, with a Gyrraptor clinging to it's back.  Screaming wildly, she turned and hid behind Aaron.

Aaron, acting quickly, again grabbed his sister's tail and jumped into a tree to hide.  He only hoped the Battleheart didn't attack.  But the littler one, the Gyrraptor, was it...saying something.  It might be something importent.  Aaron left Missy where she was, and hopped over to the next tree branch to get a better view.

((Sorry for the typos.  I haven't the heart, much less the mind, for going through and rechecking it right now.  I think I might actually make it worse if I try to.  XP))

Vii jumped onto the tree Aaron just landed on.  "Shhhhhhh.  This has become much more of a personal matter between those two."  She pointed to the two reptiles.  "Stay and watch if you want, but I'm outta here."  Vii leaped onto another tree and climbed down to the ground.  Then she ran off to another part of the forest.

Aaron looked over to the Yonyuu.  If this was something personal, it trully wasn't any of their business.  They should probably leave, if that was the case.  Grabbing Missy by the tail once again, because she was still in shock, Aaron set out in the opposite dirrection.

After several hours of walking a wandering in the dark, a faint light shone though the trees.  Home.  Thank goodness, they had found thier town.  The two siblings ran into their village and went to sleep, content to be home.

As they lay on the ground struggling, Drake got suddenly enraged at his father.  All this time, he had stayed away from his family and not even showed Drake what he looked like!  In a fit of hate, he pulled his claw across Dsirus' throat, killing him instantly.  As he climbed off the body, he wiped his claw on the grass and bounded up a tree, leaving the great body of a dead green battleheart lying there in the clearing.
